DC Police Officer Daniel Hodges during a House hearing regarding January 6 on Tuesday repeatedly referred to pro-Trump insurrectionists who stormed the US Capitol as "terrorists." Hodges during his testimony pointed to the hypocrisy of the rioters carrying symbols of support for law enforcement as officers were simultaneously and brutally assaulted.

Comments:

I was watching the "Testimony" this morning and was disgusted by this guy, he obviously is looking ahead to a future in Democratic politics. This committee wil not find truth but will create ammunition for the Never Trumpers no matter their supposed affiliation.

An absolutely pathetic collection of sniveling wimps, hand selected by Nervous Nancy, to read statements prepared for them and cry on cue. How embarrassing this must be for police officers who have dealt with ANTIFA regularly and for Iraq war veterans after one of these officers said January 6 was worse than Iraq!

In any work, where there is advancement, and positions of authority - especially where you must work with similar places of employment - its not your talent or skill that gets you promoted, it's your politics. Liberals and socialists used to scream, moan and complain all the time that they were being discriminated against because they didn't believe in family, God or America and they wanted those factors disregarded when vying for places of authority. And bone heads let them in. Now they will not accept anyone who believes in family, God, or Country among thei ranks, and thus we have America, today.

Daniel Hodges, do you know who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt? Would it be a member of the Capitol Police force? Do members of the Capitol Police force know the identity of the shooter? The media has not formally identified that person. The DOJ is mum.

The DOJ gets to release videos to the public when it suits is purposes. It gets to engage in shaping public opinion, and that might explain why it's clinging to thousands of hours of video it doesn't want to share with the American people, nor with those this administration is putting on trial. How can there be a fair trial when the prosecutors are allowed to withhold what could be exculpatory information? The FBI lawyer who deliberately forged a document to make Carter Page look like a national security threat (spy) rather than the patriot he is, got 12 months of probation and 400 hours of community service. That's something that troubles me when I hear of Americans being locked in solitary confinement for months, without a trial, and without access to videos the government will not share of the events that took place.

Hubby and I watched about 10 minutes of this "Hearing" and that was enough. This D.C. Hodges said he never experienced a mob like that before. Jeesh. Exactly who was guarding D.C. when BLM and ANTIFA were throwing Fire Bombs, setting Cars on Fire, Looting and Beating people up? Was he on vacation then? Don't tell me he isn't a Hand Picked Patsy for Nancy Pelosi. He sure looked like Limp Wristed Cop who could have been on the Andy Griffin Show! I won't be watching any more of the Hearing. This is more like a Grand Jury proceeding where only the Prosecution gets to present their evidence and point of view and anything that does not fit the prosecutions viewpoint is left out. The other side or other point of view will not have an opportunity to ask their questions or present evidence. People will only be presented evidence and questions asked that the Grand Inquisitor Nancy Pelosi deems allowable. The targets of this inquisition will be burned at the stake in a liberal orgy of revenge and power grabbing as they celebrate the demise of their political opponents while the press, social media, and willing masses blindly follow their power mad takeover of the country. These hand selected Capital Police witnesses are receiving no cross examination or questioning as to just why they were so unprepared. They are only getting, in typical Democrat fashion, sympathy and feigned tears of sadness from the Congress members who they were supposed to be protecting.

The only people "terrorized" by people being invited to walk through the Capitol building by other DC Police standing at the doors was the point-blank murderer of Ashli Babbitt, who fired the shot heard around the world. There is law enforcement and then there is a political setup. This was the Democrats' "Reichstag Moment."

As we approach the first anniversary of the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, we — all of us former senior military officials — are increasingly concerned about the aftermath of the 2024 presidential election and the potential for lethal chaos inside our military, which would put all Americans at severe risk. In short: We are chilled to our bones at the thought of a coup succeeding next time.

Sen. Cotton noted that Garland has cited news reports – in addition to a letter from the National School Boards Association – as inspiring his memo. The Arkansas Republican then brought up one of the more high-profile instances of a parent being arrested for conduct at a school board meeting,

The chief judge in DC's federal court questioned the Justice Department's decision to offer misdemeanor plea deals to nonviolent US Capitol rioters, saying at a hearing Thursday that the relatively light punishment might not be enough to deter similar attacks in the future. "Does the government have any concern ... of the defendant joining a mob, breaking into the Capitol building" in the future, and "terrorizing members of Congress, the vice president, who had to be evacuated," Chief Judge Beryl Howell asked prosecutors during the plea hearing.
