With the latest revelation of massive FBI incompetence/corruption – turns out the G-men ended up not just screwing up the gymnastics pervert case but lying about it under oath – you have to wonder something. We keep getting told that the rank-and-file are A-OK, that it’s just a few bad apples up on the top floor who are framing people, botching investigations, not stopping mass killers, urging intrafamilial narcing, and busting LEGO insurrectionists. Fine, great, dandy.

I used to think there were "good apples", but have come to believe that today's FBI is still just as corrupt as Hoover's; using scores of private files to blackmail the powerful into supporting the bureau and crushing any average person in their wake. The only difference now is probably how they store those files. Whether it's rolling in with 15 SUV-loads to storm a water delivery company, a guitar maker or a political party opponent, the overwhelming force routinely used speaks of corruption.

I too believed that there were “good apples”. Not anymore. I have watched video of the police standing down while people were beaten to a pulp. A Mother tasered for not wearing a mask outdoors. Others thrown to the ground and cuffed for daring to venture out maskless. Police stood by while thieves ran in and out of stores on Michigan Avenue loading waiting vehicles with their contraband. The behavior of the Capital Hill police January 6th was abhorrent. They attacked the innocent on one hand and ushered others into the Capital Building on the other. Crime in our inner cities is completely out of control and there are no arrests. Perhaps the police are too busy enforcing mask mandates. I am quite seriously opposed to defunding the police. I am equally opposed to paying them anything to stand down and not enforce the law. How did we get here? It happened so quickly. Well, here we are and what are we going to do about it?

So - - let's see - - we were told that 99.9999999999% of FIB agents were honest and patriotic (see: Hannity, Sean). Then with all the scandals - - it dropped to 99.9999999998% And now - - with this - - it's down to 99.9999999997% Before too long - - it may drop to 99.9999999994%. But - - it will take a lot more bad news to get it to drop that far.

The bad apples, as well as good apples who won't stand up and make the necessary sacrifice will no longer be citizens, but will become subjects. Their pensions will only continue as long as they remain quiet, obedient subjects. Did someone say: ''Give me liberty, or give me death?'' I guess he didn't have a government pension to lose....

#15, that's pretty much the situation with ALL LEO's with their "blue line". They don't police themselves or eject those who do abhorrent things. They ALL protect each other and, therefore, the corruption rubs off onto every LEO. That's why we end up with bad cops doing bad things without any retribution. That is, until they dis a bLACK person. There might still be some good cops but it's kind of hard to prove it.

The article is true, but nothing will be accomplished, not unless those speaking out are protected, which they aren't now. The political party has the duty to protect, but the Republican Party does nothing. The Democrats protect themselves. Because the Republican Party, meaning its leadership, does not protect its members, the Democrats fire, imprison, intimidate, and use other measures on anyone speaking out. Even the great Rush Limbaugh was not allowed to buy a part of an NFL team---because the Republicans whispered not a word.

When you get to make the rules, they always favor you. Parents can do things they forbid their kids from doing, bosses can take long lunches while insisting you not return late, and politicians can take pay-offs while…actually, there isn’t much of a private sector equivalent for that one. The word “bribe” has an obvious, legal meaning that, through a few tricks built into the system by the politicians who wrote the laws, helps them avoid breaking them while taking what amounts to bribes. President Tayyip Erdogan signed a decree on Friday opening Istanbul's Hagia Sophia as a mosque after a Turkish court annulled a 1934 government decree that had turned it into a museum, ruling it was unlawful, paving the way for the building's conversion back into mosque despite international warnings against such a move. Erdogan shared on his Twitter feed a copy of the decree he had signed which said the decision had been taken to hand control of the Ayasofya Mosque, as it is known in Turkish, to the country's religious directorate and reopen it for worship.    Corrections*

The probe centers on whether Trump abused his presidential powers and sought help from a foreign government to undermine Democratic foe Joe Biden and help his own reelection. Pelosi said such actions would mark a “betrayal of his oath of office” and declared: “No one is above the law.”

Yet he teaches “climate-themed writing and environmental justice” at the City University of New York. Wilson describes his recent book

Focusing on a country's own people and not the world's population allows for more mutations of the virus to pop up and in a global world, a deadly variant in one place poses a threat to everywhere.
