Republican Rep. Liz Cheney, the former No. 3 GOP member in the House, said Wednesday that she sided with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her decision to block two GOP lawmakers from serving on the special committee created to investigate the Jan. 6 riot. “I agree with what the speaker has done,” Cheney, who Pelosi appointed to the panel earlier this month, told reporters outside the Capitol Wednesday. Pelosi blocked Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio and Jim Banks of Indiana from serving as one of five GOP appointees on the committee on Wednesday. The move overruled Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, a

An announcement that shocks no one. Pelosi only allows Trump haters and jellyfish like Rodney Davis on her little sham committee. McCarthy still hasn't stripped Cheney of her assignments, because he's got a spine the consistency of tapioca pudding, as well. He should have never offered any names in the first place to Nasty Nanzi. By doing so, he legitimized this nonsense. If McCarthy was half as good at leading the delegation as he was grabbing his ankles, we might actually be able to accomplish something.

Nancy and Liz are cut from the same cloth the female version of Joseph Stalin. McCarthy should replace Jordan and Banks with Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Green, or McCarthy should demand to do the Republican Jan 6th commission.

They are afraid because Jordan and Banks know how to ask questions, and able to get on TV with short, simple updates to viewers. Not sure I know how Pelosi is able to dictate who sits on the Republican side of a committee. I'm sure one of Jordan's first questions would be asking if Speaker Pelosi did anything to bolster the Capitol Police ahead of January 6th. And, with the Michigan "kidnapping" case unraveling under a mass of FBI agents essentially setting it up in an almost entrapment-style operation, who knows if they also played a role in January 6th, considering those circumstances.

President Biden has been more freewheeling with his remarks in the last few weeks, leading to slip-ups the White House has had to clean up. The most recent example came Friday, when Biden accused Facebook of “killing people” because of the misinformation spread on the social media network about coronavirus vaccines. It was a striking statement that triggered a furious response from Facebook. And on Monday, it became clear Biden had gone further and been more biting than he intended. Less than three days after his initial remarks, the president reversed course, saying Facebook “isn’t killing people.” “My hope is
