Seattle is now averaging more than two cases every day with debris thrown at drivers, mostly near downtown Seattle. Washington State Patrol, working with Seattle police, have arrested 4 people in the last couple of weeks. Yet, another case of rocks thrown from an overpass happened just Friday morning near the Washington State Convention Center. Troopers say no one was hurt in this latest case.(Snip) Scooters, bikes, rebars, rocks–all sorts of debris are getting thrown at drivers from the overpass or side of the road. Some drivers have been hurt seriously enough to require treatment at the hospital.

Comments:

Roll the dice on a Seattle commute and risk having someone, maybe a communist who's fighting The System, maybe a "white supremacist" targeting white people, hurl a propane tank or a chunk of concrete through your windshield. Has anyone heard from Mayor Jenny lately?

When you create a lawless town, this should be expected and tolerated. However, it keeps the visitors and conventions away = loss of any economic impact from tourism.

I went to the Seattle World's Fair in 1962 and loved the city. I've had a soft spot for it ever since. The last time I was there was in 2008, but went through, transferring from a train to the airport and a flight home. I won't go back because the leftists have ruined it. The same goes for San Francisco. It used to be a charming city, but now is beyond redemption. Sad.

You're talking about Seattle here. Just another lawless democratic city run by morons who are of the "woke" culture. Notice they never talk about the attackers, they never talk about consequences or jail time for these thugs. Oh, they want some type of barriers, like a large fence to protect them. You know, like in a zoo where dangerous animals are in cages, or, behind large barriers. These hypocrites will never get it.

Lived there for 35 years, and had a football sized rock come through the windshield on I-5 one night. It landed between my passenger and I, and would have killed either one of us had it been a few inches off center. At 60 mph its quite a shock. The throwers should be charged with attempted murder.

More than 50 Democratic members of the state House fled Austin for Washington, D.C., last Monday, paralyzing the House just as the GOP was advancing sweeping changes in elections during a special session. Under the Texas Constitution, the Legislature requires a quorum of two-thirds of lawmakers to be present to conduct state business in either chamber. The price of keeping the Democrats out of Texas through Aug. 7, when the session expires, is expected to be around $1.5 million,

It would also represent an historic shift away from the roads-first approach to federal transportation spending that has reigned since Dwight Eisenhower created the Interstate Highway System.
