Rep. Vern Buchanan tests

Rep. Vern Buchanan said Monday he tested positive for COVID-19 despite being vaccinated and is self-isolating at home in Florida with mild symptoms. The Republican lawmaker decided to get tested after he felt flu-like symptoms. “I look forward to returning to work as soon as possible,” Mr. Buchanan said. “In the meantime, this should serve as a reminder that although the vaccines provide a very high degree of protection, we must remain vigilant in the fight against COVID-19.” The congressman is among people who say they’ve gotten the shots but still tested positive. For instance, members of the New York Yankees recently reported

Comments:

A novel vaccine for a novel virus. The vaccinated still catch the disease, they're at risk from contact with the un-vaccinated, and they still need to wear masks, almost as if the vaccine does nothing in exchange for risking dire side effects from the shot. They explain this away by saying the vaccinated are at low risk for severe disease, which is equally true for the unvaccinated, and the fully vaccinated are by CDC policy generally not tested for infection, which wildly downplays their infection rate.

People don't understand that the jab is not something that will prevent you from catching the china flu. What it is supposed to do is reduce symptoms when you do catch it. It does not put a magic forcefield around your body or give you some superpower to destroy a flu bug once it enters your body. So as you can see he has flulike symptoms. Congrats. He is lucky the poison needle didn't kill him first.

The fear doesn't match the symptoms. Period!!! He has a mild case of Covid. He will stay home a few days, and then get on with his life. Which is exactly what happened to 99%+ of us who have had this stupid virus. Just look at the CDC numbers. Those who have died, or even have had long-term health problems because of the Covid virus, make up less than 1% of the people who have had the virus!!! And only around 7% of the population of the USA have even had the virus. This was never about public health. It was about a bunch of Hitler-wanna-be politicians seeing how far they could control the masses of peasants using fear until the peasants said "enough". And they succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. They aren't going to give up now that they have tasted that level of dictatorial power. But this peasant is beyond saying "enough"!!!!

Since Covid is basically a cold virus, perhaps the Rep. has a cold and not Covid. The tests aren't accurate enough to tell the difference, and if they are, then no one in authority is going to say so.

We learn everyday that the vaccines don't do much, the tests don't test accurately very often, that the masks don't work, and that social distancing does not work. However, if you get another shot, wear 2 masks, and stay 12 feet apart, that could possibly work. Certainly no guarantees.

Another breakthrough case? Sure glad that when you get vaccinated for polio, rubella, whooping cough and such that the vaccine actually PREVENTS these things, unlike this wunderdrug, which apparently doesn't prevent jack.

I had Covid at Christmas. I would not have known except I was being tested out of precaution so that I could be around a few friends to celebrate the holidays. I was essentially asymptomatic. I think this disease will be like the flu or the cold. You do your best not to get it. Most of those who do will have mild symptoms -- or no symptoms. And you get on with your life. Some people will get quite sick. But some folks get quite sick with the flu. And those who are old or have a compromised immune system are the most vulnerable. But I am done. I cannot do Covid anymore. I've had 18 months of this stuff -- that could have been avoided if the Chinese government hadn't been involved. I have been more sick OF Covid than I ever was WITH Covid. And that includes physical AND social AND psychological issues.

Interesting that they mention the relatively "minor league" NY Yankees Post vax "outbreak" which was weeks ago, but do not mention the hundreds of Brit sailors on their Flagship carrier and other boats in the same fleet, ALL of whom were double jabbed, sequestered, and tested Neg prior to boarding. I have a sommat "senior" friend, a retired physician who has castigated me several times about not getting the shot. Bragged that in his gated senior living community they have over a 98% vaccination rate.(with everything from stand alone housing to part time care>fulltime care>hospice, 24hr/fully staffed on site Hospital) "Great " sez I..."YOU are the human trial...IF not a single person in your community gets it then you did the right thing, If any more than that 2% get it then the vaccines did not work.". They have had 15 cases in the last two weeks, approx the same numbers as during the previous peak of Covid.
