Hundreds of migrants in Mexico converged at a gate on the border in Del Rio, Texas, Monday morning, and tried to force their way into the United States as Border Patrol agents and law enforcement struggled to hold the line.
The violent confrontation began when US authorities, including state troopers, started admitting select migrant families through the gate and into the US. But soon, single adults and others not chosen attempted to force their way through the gate along with the families, making it hard for US officials to close the massive door behind each family.(Snip)Agents opted to allow families through the gate one at a time,

Councilman Justin Brannan—a speaker wannabe who has demanded New York drivers “slow the [expletive] down”—is a lead-footed motorist whose car has been captured by speed cameras speeding in school zones 16 times, including on six occasions in the last five months, The Post has learned.
Despite wagging his finger at speed demons, Brannan (D-Bay Ridge), has amassed 60 driving and parking violations since 2013 with his dark grey Ford SUV, public records show. Brannan has been a vocal supporter of school zone speed camera legislation—and has ripped scofflaws who drive at excessive speeds in his southern Brooklyn district.

An NYPD cop on patrol in Brooklyn had his head split open when a tie-dye-wearing thug—who’s done time for assaulting officers in the past—smashed a bottle over his head, according to new video. The sickening display of police hatred was captured on the officer’s body camera just after 4:45 a.m. Sunday as the cop smoked a cigarette next to his patrol car at East 51st Street and Church Avenue in East Flatbush. The video, which does not have audio, shows the suspect, identified by police sources as Tyshaun Holloway, 27, walk up to the cop and the two exchange words.

Denying Republicans a quorum to enact voting restrictions will cost Texas Democrats north of $1 million, according to the state legislator leading the fundraising effort. More than 50 Democratic members of the state House fled Austin for Washington, D.C., last Monday, paralyzing the House just as the GOP was advancing sweeping changes in elections during a special session. Under the Texas Constitution, the Legislature requires a quorum of two-thirds of lawmakers to be present to conduct state business in either chamber. The price of keeping the Democrats out of Texas through Aug. 7, when the session expires, is expected to be around $1.5 million,
