MLB All-Star Game Limps to Second Lowest Ratings
in History. Any Guesses Why?

Go woke, go broke. Major League Baseball is learning the hard way that catering to the far left isn't remotely helping their desperate attempts to resurrect what once was America's proud pastime. MLB's All-Star Game, played Tuesday night, predictably tanked in the Nielsen ratings, delivering the second-lowest official total in the sport's history. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the game narrowly avoided "a third straight all-time audience low" with 8.24 million viewers, "about 100,000 more than the 2019 game's 8.14 million." Except, it's quite possible that this could indeed be the game's lowest ever viewership.

I am not a big baseball fan but millions use to be. Enjoyed nfl and college football but not so much anymore. Between the Hollywood elites and the athletic elites I am just not interested in their nonsense. And don’t get me started on the olympics.

This year was the first time in 60 years I didn't watch the All-Star game. 8 million viewers is chicken feed, there were time when the All-Star game 25 million + viewers. get woke go broke, ask Coke, they can't give that soda away right now, the Publix by me has had them buy 2 get 1 free for weeks and I still don't see anybody buying them.

Don’t blame the players. It was MLB’s managements moving the game out of Atlanta - a kneejerk response to the likes of obnoxious race-baiter Stacey Abrams. And in the end Stacey and the MLB management were smacked down by the Supreme Court. The players were excellent. MLB burdened them with pathetic uniforms that made them look like cleaning crews (they should have worn their own team uniforms). It was an entertaining program sans racial overtones. No one took a knee during the National Anthem. We enjoyed it.

I am a baseball fan from the Oakland A’s and now the Red Sox. I wanted to see our young players get in the game ( they did) but the commercials drove me off. However, I totally agree with poster 5. I was proud of both teams as they respected our anthem and flag. My other gripe was the announcers. Every one had to make comments re- their knowledge of baseball. I say, let the guys play!!!

We had the game on and put up with Joe Buck's non-stop jabbering. Indeed, #5, the uniforms were pathetic. The game should have stayed in Atlanta, but, the People's Republic of Denver was all too happy to fill its ball park for it. Mlb management really shot itself in the foot this time since becoming woke. I lost interest in pro sports long ago beginning with Kaepie taking a knee.

I forgot to mention the announcers. Joe Buck took over and never ever stopped talking. We muted the television and watched the game. There were too many commercials. We minimize that for all broadcasts by watching them about a half hour after they have begun. Gives us some running room to fast forward past any commercials or other bothersome parts of the broadcasts.

A Florida condo building less than six blocks from the ruins of Champlain Towers South has been found to be structurally unsound — and residents are moving out in droves. Regent Palace in Surfside, whose residents funded their own engineering study after the June 24 collapse nearby, got an urgent notice from city inspectors about serious problems there — and didn’t wait to pack up and leave, WTVJ-TV said. “Honestly, you know, the building was analyzed and deemed unsafe, so we’re not gonna take any risk,” Regent resident Theo Magnat said.

The "silent majority" was mentioned by President Nixon in 1969, who labeled middle Americans who weren't protesting the Vietnam war or joining the counter culture — two activities being over-reported by the media of the day. The silent majority didn't speak up much but respected traditional American values with a good-natured approach to political issues. They were silent, but they voted. In 1972, Nixon was re-elected with one of the largest landslides in U.S. history — 520 electoral votes to only 17 for McGovern. Today, most Americans focus on work and family and trust that our elected officials will work for us,

This is different, and the wrongdoers must be punished. The problem with this narrative, though, was revealed on Monday when the first person charged with a felony for January 6 got sentenced. Was the sentence life imprisonment? Beheading? No. It was eight months in prison. Talk about a narrative fail. Within minutes of January 6, the Democrats, who had turned a blind eye to the incredible violence of 2020,

Can a civilization continue to function when the most basic truths cannot be spoken, yet blatant falsehoods are dogma? When radical upheavals are justified not by wisdom, but by disorienting barrages of phony "outrages" and "crises"? Think of a great ship. A nuclear-powered aircraft carrier is an integrated system of immense complexity, requiring thousands of specially trained men to operate and maintain. What if someone suddenly replaced a carrier's human crew with 3,000 excitable chimpanzees? The giant vessel would soon drift to a halt, catch fire, and sink — while the chimps threw feces at each other.

How far can someone be goaded and bullied before he fights back? Most bullies are sociopaths and narcissists, adept at shifting the blame to their victims. They manipulate situations so the victim is the one who gets punished for the fight they were goaded into. Does this sound like what is happening right now, out in the open, on a national level, for all to see? Are we powerless to stop it? If we're not powerless, what can we do? The left cried "insurrection!" on January 6 and, ever since, has used that cry to intimidate us. The whole Capitol event, I'm convinced, was orchestrated.
