Justice Breyer Addresses Rumors of Retirement

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer addressed rumors of his potential retirement on Thursday. The 82-year-old justice has sat on the bench for nearly 27 years and is under pressure from the far-left to step down so that President Joe Biden can appoint another liberal justice while Democrats hold the majority in the Senate. Breyer said that his own health, and the court, are the factors behind his decision. "Primarily, of course, health,” Breyer told CNN of his decision making process. "Second, the court." He added a firm "no," when asked if he was retiring in the immediate future.

Hang in there Breyer! You can retire in 2025, when there is a Republican President. If you can't last that long, at least hang on until 2021, when the Republicans take back the Senate.

Why aren't they nudging Wise Laxtinexa to retire? Her health isn't the greatest (Type 1 diabetic) and she could ''create a vacancy'' just as easily as Breyer.

Just once in my life, and I'm 78 now, I'd like to see a liberal appointed to the court, who then moves right, instead of the other way around.

Go woke, go broke. Major League Baseball is learning the hard way that catering to the far left isn't remotely helping their desperate attempts to resurrect what once was America's proud pastime. MLB's All-Star Game, played Tuesday night, predictably tanked in the Nielsen ratings, delivering the second-lowest official total in the sport's history. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the game narrowly avoided "a third straight all-time audience low" with 8.24 million viewers, "about 100,000 more than the 2019 game's 8.14 million." Except, it's quite possible that this could indeed be the game's lowest ever viewership.

Well that didn’t take long. Just days after it was announced, Biden’s soviet-style intimidation program is in full swing. Video that was released on Wednesday shows vaccine agents peddling the experimental jab in the neighborhood streets of Charlotte, North Carolina. Health department workers joined the vax-peddlers so they could harass and vaccinate residents right at their front door. They aim to “eliminate any excuse” that people may have for making their own decision about their health. They ensured that you can’t just send them away by ‘saying’ you would get vaccinated, if you turn down a jab at the door you will surely make their ‘list.’

Cuban-Americans in Florida have been out in the streets, rallying on behalf of their brethren in Cuba. They’ve been calling on Florida and the United States to help the Cuban people. [Tweet] While Joe Biden has said that he would “stand with the Cuban people,” it’s not clear that he’s actually doing anything at all to back up those words. Some folks in Florida tried to organize boats to go to Cuba and provide help but the U.S. government was discouraging that. Meanwhile, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was striking all the right notes, meeting with Cuban-American leaders in a round-table discussion to discuss the deteriorating situation in Cuba.

If there’s one policy most closely associated with the Biden administration, it has to be the illegal open border policy. President Trump turned over to Biden a border that was remarkably well-controlled. The day after Biden entered the White House, that was all gone. We now effectively have no border and, if Americans dismayed by this fact complain, they’re told they’re cruel people who want the Latin Americans, sex offenders, and Islamists pouring unchecked over the border to suffer from poverty in their native countries. On Tuesday, however, the Biden administration announced that there are limits to its welcome mat. If you’re Cuban or Haitian, don’t come here:

The state Democrats who fled Texas to Washington, D.C. in order to avoid voting on an election integrity bill have been unable to make their stunt any less laughable. From accidentally showing off their rack of Miller Lite on their bus to their charter flights to talking about their "sacrifice" of not doing their jobs, the group of Democratic state congressional members took their hilarity to a new cringe-worthy level during their press conference outside the Capitol building. After one member finished speaking with the press, the group began to sing, let's just say, an interesting version of "We Shall Overcome."

Reps. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA) are facing intense backlash after a photo of them riding camels shirtless in Qatar surfaced online last week. The photo, which was taken during a March 2021 trip, shows Gallego, Swalwell, and their wives each riding atop a camel at Qatar’s Sealine Beach. Interestingly, no one in the photo is wearing a face mask, despite it being taken when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended masks outdoors, even for fully vaccinated individuals. Gallego’s fiance and now-wife, Sydney Barron Gallego, posted the photo to Instagram on Friday. Her account, @_sydney_b, has since been deleted from the platform.

Washington Post Warns: Calling Food ‘Exotic’

Referring to food as “exotic” creates distance between individuals and groups and “reinforces xenophobia and racism,” according to a recent Washington Post article which, instead, suggests people ask themselves why they are unfamiliar with certain foods and question their willingness to change that. The Thursday article, written by the paper’s food section staff writer, Daniela Galarza, and titled “Stop calling food ‘exotic,’” begins by quoting a couple who praised Afghan restaurants and referred to the cuisine served as “exotic,” in an old Post essay. Though she admitted the couple “meant no harm,” their use of the term “exotic” indicates that they see the world through a “presumptive Anglocentric perspective,” according to Galarza.

Christina Pushaw, press secretary for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), slammed the media Thursday in reaction to a report which failed to mention that a 2008 Florida law, which could have ushered in repairs for the collapsed Surfside condo, was repealed under former Gov. Charlie Crist’s (D) leadership — a significant point, as he is vying to challenge DeSantis in the upcoming gubernatorial race. An NBC Miami report details the repealed 2008 Florida law, which some experts surmise would have expedited multimillion-dollar repairs needed at the Surfside condo, which collapsed last month, resulting in at least 68 dead and dozens of others missing.

ROME — Pope Francis cracked down Friday on the spread of the old Latin Mass, reversing one of Pope Benedict XVI’s signature decisions in a major challenge to traditionalist Catholics who immediately decried it as an attack on the ancient liturgy. Francis reimposed restrictions on celebrating the Latin Mass that Benedict relaxed in 2007. The pontiff said he was taking action because Benedict’s reform had become a source of division in the church and been used as a tool by Catholics opposed to the Second Vatican Council, the 1960s meetings that modernized the liturgy. Francis issued a new law requiring individual bishops to approve celebrations of the old Mass

As the forensic audit in Maricopa County, Arizona, winds down, expectations are rising that the defects of the 2020 election will finally be addressed. A recent poll reports that "more than half" of Republicans expect the audit to bounce President Biden out of office. That's not going to happen. And that's not a bad thing. Fixing the 2020 election requires more than Biden has to offer. Real reform requires going after the people who put Biden in office. The long duration of the special counsel investigation has frustrated former President Donald Trump, who often asks about Durham's progress.

Missouri Rep. Cori Bush spent nearly $70,000 on private security over the past three months as she advocated for defunding the police, campaign filings show. Bush's campaign sent $54,120.92 in payments between April 15 and June 28 for "security services" to RS&T Security Consulting, a New York-based firm with a mysterious online presence, Federal Election Commission records released Thursday show. The Democrat's campaign also paid $15,000 to Nathaniel Davis for "security services" over the same time period. The $69,120 in security payments accounted for more than a third of Bush's $197,000 in campaign expenditures during the second quarter, the FEC records show. It's also nearly double what her campaign spent

We are once again being warned of incoming dangers, particularly for coastal regions, as sea levels rise and the tides become higher and stronger. Normally, the next two words following such a dire forecast would be “climate change,” but now there’s a different cause being given. The moon will be starting to “wobble” more in its orbit in the next decade, exerting a greater gravitational pull on the oceans, so tides will continue to grow higher for the following ten years before slowly beginning to recede again. When you combine these accelerated tides with higher ocean levels (that’s the part they’ll blame on climate change)
