When it rains, it pours. And when it comes to ratings at the Jeffrey Zucker-led clown show known as CNN, it’s a monsoon. The second quarter’s ratings came out on Tuesday and the immature, noxious, and repugnant network suffered its worst month in total viewers and the 25-54 demo since June 2019. And that's not to mention that primetime ratings have tumbled 71 percent in total viewers and 78 percent in the demo since January. Meanwhile, the Fox News Channel continued to assert its dominance over the competition with its 78th consecutive quarter leading cable news and sixth straight win in all of cable, led in part due

Good news for the truth getting out there, although I'm sure the lefties figure they're the ideological strong arm of the Dem oligarchs so, so what! Even though almost everyone in the USSR knew that Izvestia and Pravda were Party organs, readership and viewership such as it was, one way or another, it (if there had been ratings) meant nothing to the tyrannical dictators. Today we have a multitude of ways to access real news and the truth, at least we do for the time being. I think about how in Soviet Russia you could not have access to copy machines (I'm guessing the technology even for that was stolen), which were owned only by the State and the use strictly controlled, in order that any possible dissidents couldn't disseminate truth, oppositional opinion to that of the State, and the real facts of life in their oppressed nation. Yet even during the periods of the strictest dictatorship, individuals were able by means of private communications (by the way, still fraught with danger and landing thousands and thousands in the gulags) to make some progress... mainly to get out. of the country. The State was so huge and so corrupt and SO EVIL, restoring the nation to one able to be part of the "family of nations", was not likely. That once extraordinarily culturally rich country has never recovered. Not to sound too Berdyaev-ish, but the communism destroys the soul of a nation, it crushes inventiveness, creativity, individualism. It despises truth because truth unmasks communism's true monstrous nature. So hang on to every bit of means of communication. Evil is afoot, unlike anything we have seen, percolating though ALL of the Federal agencies, and even making inroads into the military, the one thing i have dreaded more than in any other, as terrible as each bureaucracy's corruption is, especially Justice. We must call our Congressmen, whether we support of like them or not. Now is the crucial time to exhort them to keep the Oath by which they swore allegiance to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America.

I hope CNN folds and then MSNBC . . . I don't even care whether Fox folds or not. I don't trust any of them to tell the truth. Every one of them foments rage. The facts (if they bother to report them at all) are sensationalized. No longer trustworthy -- any of them!

Yes, FOX may have regained some of those viewers who left in droves when they called AZ a very early winner on election night. They lost almost 50% of their Viewers over that! Me for one. Most of us went to Newsmax and other Conservative programs who were not afraid to talk about Trump! NOW...here we go again. FOX did not carry Trump's HUGE Rally, with 40 million attending, last weekend. Newmax did and garnered over 3 million viewers. I love Newsmax! I will watch them cover Trump's rally again on Saturday in Sarasota, FL. If FOX continues to forbid the name "Trump" to be mentioned on any of their shows, they will again lose those viewers who have trickled back! Someone had better wake up in the Top Office!

It’s a mistake to judge CNN by it’s ratings because its purpose is to promote leftist delusions while undermining Republicans. And it has succeeded far beyond its own expectations at this perverse mission. CNN is no different than The NY Times, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC and the rest of our news and entertainment industries. They would all willingly go out of business if stopping a Trump presidency was required, and stop him they did. Does anyone believe that ABC is paying George Stepanouplis (sp) $21 million per year because he is a non-partisan moderator of a show no one watches? But a show featuring gotcha questions for the Republicans who willingly appear on it. The same with Lestor Holt, Joyless Reid and the rest of these DNC protectors and GOP haters.

Washington — The Supreme Court on Thursday invalidated a requirement by the state of California that charities fundraising in the state must disclose the identities of their most generous donors. The high court ruled 6-3 along ideological lines in favor of a pair of nonprofits that challenged the state's policy. The Supreme Court found the measure, which requires charities that fundraise in the state to turn over information about their top contributors, is unconstitutional. "We are left to conclude that the Attorney General's disclosure requirement imposes a widespread burden on donors' associational rights. And this burden cannot be justified

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled in a major voting rights case involving whether Arizona voting restrictions are racially discriminatory. The high court ruled Arizona’s out-of-precinct policy and HB 2023 do not violate the Voting Rights Act and were not enacted with a racially discriminatory purpose. The judgment of the Court of Appeals is now reversed, and the cases are remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion. Justice Samuel Alito wrote the opinion for the majority and was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Neil Gorsuch, Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

The race for New York City mayor was always going to be a s***show, at the least on the Democrat side. Given the new ranked-choice voting system and pre-existing problems with vote counting, the Democrats weren’t expected to declare a winner until weeks after the voting. Things took a turn for the worse yesterday when the Board of Elections released updated results showing that what was a substantial lead for Eric Adams had almost disappeared due to ranked-choice adjustments, but then withdrew these results stating that they were due to a counting error. Nothing enhances confidence in government like an admission that it can’t count.

When Vice President Kamala Harris finally made the decision to visit the Mexico border last week, people inside her own office were blindsided by the news. For days, aides and outside allies had been calling and texting with each other about the political fallout that a potential trip would entail. But when it became known that she was going to El Paso, it left many scrambling, including officials who were responsible for making travel arrangements and others outside the VP’s office charged with crafting the messaging across the administration. The handling of the border visit was the latest chaotic moment for a staff that’s quickly become mired in them.

NEW YORK — "Foolishness." "Unfortunate." "Generations of failures." New York City's Board of Election is facing widespread criticism after it mistakenly included some 135,000 "test" ballots in partial results released Tuesday in its tightly-contested mayoral election. The three-way contest — between Brooklyn borough President Eric Adams; Maya Wiley, former counsel to Mayor Bill de Blasio; and Kathryn Garcia, former Department of Sanitation head — has been upended with a murky picture of who is ahead after the election board's botched release and scores of mail-in votes remain to be counted. President Donald Trump and Gov. Greg Abbott both appeared on Sean Hannity’s show tonight in a town hall about the border. It was an event with an extremely enthusiastic and favorable crowd for Trump. Hannity started it by comparing and contrasting how Trump got the border in hand. How Trump got the number of people illegally entering to fall because of all his efforts including the Remain in Mexico policy, building 500 miles of new border wall, and discouraging people from coming. As opposed to the Biden/Harris team whose policies encouraged people to come illegally. Biden reversed almost all of Trump’s border “fixes.”

California health officials are not ready to ask people to wear masks indoors again, despite the fast-spreading threat of the delta variant that now accounts for nearly a quarter of new coronavirus infections in the state. The delta variant has many across the world concerned, and on Monday, Los Angeles County health officials strongly recommended that all residents again wear a mask in indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. However, they did not reimpose the indoor-mask mandate for vaccinated people that was dropped statewide on June 15. “The California Department of Public Health is closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and its variants across our state,”

Vogue, the world's fashion bible, has placed Jill Biden on her cover as the epitome of fashion. She's a "goddess," they explain. Which is a stretch, given that the first lady has sported getups like this loud red zebra print dress, or these huge-print patterned pantyhose worn with elfin spike heel ankle boots. After all, the big fashion bible for the world's stylish somehow managed to overlook the nation's truly stylish first lady, Melania Trump, a former super-model, who not only was quite beautiful, but age-appropriate and elegant in her four years as first lady.

Things are different with Kamala Harris. According to an article in Politico, Harris’s office sounds like the real-life version of Veep, the HBO political satire that focused on the stupid, self-centered, and vicious Selina Meyer, a Vice President whose office was filled with slavish gatekeepers and self-centered staff, all of whom were incompetent. The story rings true. What's more interesting is contemplating why Democrats are going after Harris.
