‘Not a healthy environment’: Kamala Harris’ office
rife with dissent

When Vice President Kamala Harris finally made the decision to visit the Mexico border last week, people inside her own office were blindsided by the news. For days, aides and outside allies had been calling and texting with each other about the political fallout that a potential trip would entail. But when it became known that she was going to El Paso, it left many scrambling, including officials who were responsible for making travel arrangements and others outside the VP’s office charged with crafting the messaging across the administration. The handling of the border visit was the latest chaotic moment for a staff that’s quickly become mired in them.

Remember how she treated Kavanaugh in the hearings? That is who she is - a bitter little commie filled with hatred. She apparently treats her staff exactly the same way. The bigger story here is Politico actually calling her out on it. There are definitely two factions on the left competing right now and they are bitter rivals.

New York City, the entire state of California, Chicago— and whoever voted for this clown-car administration, how is it possible for anyone to delude themselves that this culture of leadership improves upon Rudy Giuliani, California under Republican governance, or the professionalism and effectiveness of Trump-Pence? As for the latter, every accomplishment achieved under withering fire from Democrats and the media (BIRM). HOW can ANYONE vote so STUPID?

Ouch! Confused Joe Biden Embarrasses Himself Again 6 replies

Crazy Joe Biden strikes again. This time, it was at a bill signing event that included House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Rep. Jesús “Chuy” Gracia (D-IL). First, Biden slurred the title of the bill. Then, he called Waters by the wrong name, referring to her as “Maxine Walters.” And it only got worse from there. When Biden saw Waters, he said, “Senator, I hope. You think I’m kidding. I’m not.” She’s not a senator and, at 82 years old, she is very unlikely to be considering running for Senate and leaving her safe seat in the House

I’ve written several times in the last few months about the skyrocketing inflation that middle America is enduring right now. The costs on some of the most commonly bought items have jumped, including food, building materials, used cars, and of course, gasoline and other types of energy. With that very negative news really setting in with voters, the Biden administration has decided to go on the offensive. In doing so, they’ve executed perhaps the most pathetic brag in presidential history. There’s a lot to unpack here, and we can begin by asking whether this is even true or not. I’m not sure how the Farm Bureau calculates

To say that San Francisco is in decline would be an understatement. The city that once captured the hearts and minds of everyone who saw it is a shadow of what it once was thanks to skyrocketing crime, rampant drug addiction, and Democrat policies that continue to worsen every problem it has. Now, San Francisco residents are so tired of drowning in the issues that nearly half of them are planning to pack up and leave. According to CBS San Francisco, the city’s Chamber of Commerce conducted a poll with more than five hundred registered voters and found that over 40 percent of the residents said they planned to move out

On the last day before its summer recess, the Supreme Court upheld two Arizona voting provisions that Democrats and civil rights groups challenged as disproportionately burdening minority voters. The vote was 6-3, with only the three hardcore liberals dissenting. Justice Alito wrote the opinion. That’s always a great sign. Amy Howe at Scotusblog observes that the decision “will make it more difficult to contest election regulations under the Voting Rights Act.” That’s probably an understatement. The motion to dismiss Kristen Clarke’s suit challenging Georgia’s election law will all but write itself now. The majority opinion found that the “core” of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act,

After years of prosecutors targeting Trump in search of a crime, Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg “surrendered early Thursday to New York authorities for arraignment in the first criminal indictment arising from a two-year investigation into the former president’s company,” according to the AP. The charges relate to paying perks for executives without showing those perks on their W-2 forms, and paying income taxes and payroll taxes on those perks. I bet the WP, NYT and other media outlets will have trouble finding those charges against other corporations, so I am sure they will advocate for going after all corporations and entities

Washington — The Supreme Court on Thursday invalidated a requirement by the state of California that charities fundraising in the state must disclose the identities of their most generous donors. The high court ruled 6-3 along ideological lines in favor of a pair of nonprofits that challenged the state's policy. The Supreme Court found the measure, which requires charities that fundraise in the state to turn over information about their top contributors, is unconstitutional. "We are left to conclude that the Attorney General's disclosure requirement imposes a widespread burden on donors' associational rights. And this burden cannot be justified

The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled in a major voting rights case involving whether Arizona voting restrictions are racially discriminatory. The high court ruled Arizona’s out-of-precinct policy and HB 2023 do not violate the Voting Rights Act and were not enacted with a racially discriminatory purpose. The judgment of the Court of Appeals is now reversed, and the cases are remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion. Justice Samuel Alito wrote the opinion for the majority and was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Neil Gorsuch, Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

The race for New York City mayor was always going to be a s***show, at the least on the Democrat side. Given the new ranked-choice voting system and pre-existing problems with vote counting, the Democrats weren’t expected to declare a winner until weeks after the voting. Things took a turn for the worse yesterday when the Board of Elections released updated results showing that what was a substantial lead for Eric Adams had almost disappeared due to ranked-choice adjustments, but then withdrew these results stating that they were due to a counting error. Nothing enhances confidence in government like an admission that it can’t count.

NEW YORK — "Foolishness." "Unfortunate." "Generations of failures." New York City's Board of Election is facing widespread criticism after it mistakenly included some 135,000 "test" ballots in partial results released Tuesday in its tightly-contested mayoral election. The three-way contest — between Brooklyn borough President Eric Adams; Maya Wiley, former counsel to Mayor Bill de Blasio; and Kathryn Garcia, former Department of Sanitation head — has been upended with a murky picture of who is ahead after the election board's botched release and scores of mail-in votes remain to be counted. Ranked choice voting is being used for the first time in citywide primaries this year,

President Donald Trump and Gov. Greg Abbott both appeared on Sean Hannity’s show tonight in a town hall about the border. It was an event with an extremely enthusiastic and favorable crowd for Trump. Hannity started it by comparing and contrasting how Trump got the border in hand. How Trump got the number of people illegally entering to fall because of all his efforts including the Remain in Mexico policy, building 500 miles of new border wall, and discouraging people from coming. As opposed to the Biden/Harris team whose policies encouraged people to come illegally. Biden reversed almost all of Trump’s border “fixes.”

Vice President Mike Pence may be in the doghouse with conservatives but no one can say there were stories that he was a bad boss or that his office was chaotic, mismanaged, or incompetent. Things are different with Kamala Harris. According to an article in Politico, Harris’s office sounds like the real-life version of Veep, the HBO political satire that focused on the stupid, self-centered, and vicious Selina Meyer, a Vice President whose office was filled with slavish gatekeepers and self-centered staff, all of whom were incompetent. The story rings true. What's more interesting is contemplating why Democrats are going after Harris.
