EUGENE, Ore. — There's a certain routine for the top-three finishers in an event at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials, after they secure their spots on Team USA. They're handed an American flag and a bouquet of flowers. They stand on the podium. They take some pictures. Then they take a victory lap around Hayward Field, to cheers from the crowd. (Snip) Berry, 31, has previously protested while on the podium at an international sporting event and become a strong advocate of athletes using their platforms to speak about issues that matter to them. Comments:

Send her to Cameroon or the Congo then. They need a woman who can throw a hammer more than we do.

I will not be lectured to by some prima donna azzhat about all the social injustice they endured becoming a pampered affleet.

Dump this disgraceful ingrate. "Sports is entertainment. But my purpose and my voice and my mission is bigger than the sport," Berry said. "So me being able to represent my communities and my people, and those who have died at the hands of police brutality, those who have died (due) to this systemic racism – I feel like that's the important part. That's why I'm going, and that's why I was here today."

I loved watching the Olympics as a child. That was back before the USSR collapsed. The free nations of the world cheered for each other. It was such an event from the parade of champions to the running of the torch, and the music. Real pomp and ceremony on a global scale. The pride when hearing our anthem swelled in even my young girl's heart. I am glad I was able to experience it. My kids never have. Sadly, the Left destroyed it just like they destroy everything they touch.

The real problem is that there is no consequence for disrespect of the U.S. when one is representing the U.S. She should be banned for one year and if the same situation occurs again, banned for life. Let her represent some other Nation.

She sees the "kick America" as a brand she can adopt to become rich and famous. After all, clicks and chips are all the matter to him/her. Black lives monetization have made tens or hundreds of Millions. If she could get just 10% of that, she'd be able to go anywhere she wants, with whomever she wants, maybe even get invited to soros's mansion. She could get a mansion of her own- with a gate! Maybe not as big as george's, but bigger than her friends' houses. She could invite her friends to a party and speak very authoritatively about hammers. Boy/girl would she be something.

The Olympic games have been irretrievably damaged over the past several decades. Professional athletes and lack of patriotism are to blame. I will not be watching the games, which has become the norm for me. When the athletes show some American pride again, maybe I'll have a change of heart.

Is she the person that wants to burn the US flag at the podium or is that someone else? Was she 'triggered' by the playing of the Star Spangled banner? No doubt she has been taught to hate the United States and all whites. Maybe she should entertain the thought that what she has been told is a pack of lies. Use your brains girl. If the United States were a racist nation, you wouldn't be able to represent it at the Olympics. Btw, if you hate the United States so much, why don't you decline a spot on the US team, and offer your services and skills to some more 'enlightened' country? You won't. can't protest against the United States if you did that. Get real.

This sums up the modern Olympics perfectly. Originally, it was amateur athletes competing as representatives of their home countries. Not only did you win, you won for your country. It was a matter of pride. Now it is professional athletes competing for more money. Half of them hate their home countries, and would gladly go and represent another country if they were offered more money to do so. It's time to end the Olympics. They have far outgrown their purpose. You can see professional athletes competing year round. The Olympics are now a joke!!!

I'm still waiting for one of these US-hating geniuses to explain why so many peoples-of-color are going to extreme efforts to immigrate to this white-supremacist, racist hell-hole. I would also like to hear it explained why we do not see any appreciable numbers of peoples-of-color choosing to escape this evil ''systemically'' racist country to seek opportunity in black majority and black governed countries in Africa and the West Indies which are free of white supremacy and racism. The current illegal immigration crisis on the US southern border is because those fleeing Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador are seeking economic opportunity in the US, but have not chosen stable prosperous Latin countries that are much closer; Costa Rica, Belize, Panama.

It’s just common sense that Olympic athletes who are members of national Olympic teams should hold their allegiance to the country, the flag, and the National Anthem of the country for which they are competing. If not, why even have national teams, and instead allow the Olympic athletes to just show up and compete as individuals in an uncontrolled fashion?

I might listen to some black bigot athlete lecture on "racial inequality and police brutality in America," so long as the rampant black criminality and lawlessness amid racial preferences and ever-more massive wealth redistribution from white to black as a matter of national policy is also front and center as a topic of protest and the real story of racial victimization c. 2021, using real data and not a pan-African, communist narrative, is told.

On “Fox News Sunday,” Fox News anchor Chris Wallace repeatedly asked Republican Indiana Rep. Jim Banks if Republicans are responsible for defunding the police.Wallace said that Banks and the GOP voted against the $350 billion in President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan that funds police officers, in turn asking if he and all the other Republicans that voted against the bill voted to defund the police. Wallace’s question came in response to his earlier guest, White House senior adviser Cedric Richmond, who made the claim that Republicans were indeed responsible.Banks did not address Wallace’s question and instead explained how police forces

Yesterday, we reported how former Attorney General Bill Barr left no doubt he was exiting the Trump orbit when he told ABC’s Jonathan Karl what he thought about the claims of election fraud. He sat down with Karl in a series of interviews for a piece in The Atlantic in the spring. The piece regarding the interviews was published yesterday. (Snip) Now, we pointed out how, even if he thought there was no election fraud, it was pretty vile to go to Karl, someone who was constantly attacking the Trump administration. But there’s another point to be made here, and it’s even revealed in The Atlantic story,

DENVER  — As the delta variant continues to spread throughout the country, the World Health Organization is asking vaccinated people to still wear masks to stop the spread of COVID-19. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations, however have not changed, allowing fully vaccinated people to go without a mask. In Denver-area hospitals, doctors tell FOX31 at least half of the unvaccinated COVID-19 patients are sick with the delta variant. The variant is significantly more contagious, and the symptoms patients feel are worse than from the original COVID-19 virus. Doctors continue to stress the message, that it’s the vaccines that will ultimately stop the spread. CORRECTION*

Chris Rock famously said, when Barack Obama was president, “The president and the first lady are kind of like the mom and the dad of the country. And when your dad says something, you listen.”Joe Biden, though, is the granddad of the country, and when you listen to Granddad, sometimes you wonder whether it’s safe for him to be near a pair of scissors. No big deal, though; it’s just that there’s this guy who looks like he’d have trouble using Google Maps and he happens to be in charge of all the nukes. On the rare occasions when Biden’s staff let him out of the
