DOJ lawsuit over Georgia's election laws

A conservative legal scholar has argued that the Department of Justice's new lawsuit challenging Georgia's election law could backfire against the Biden administration and fail in court. 'I'm highly skeptical and I think that they may ultimately regret this move. It could indeed clarify this issue in the way that the Biden administration does not want,' Jonathan Turley, a law professor at George Washington University, told Fox News.Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday announced the suit against Georgia, alleging Republican state lawmakers passed a sweeping election reform to discriminate against black voters.

This will blow up in the Democrats face. Garland filed suit saying it's racist to require an ID to vote. He will now have to prove it is racist to require an ID to vote.

This suit is so stupid. And btw, Jonathan Turley is not a conservative. He just isn't a liberal who has lost his mind. There are others out there too. On another forum I was in a discussion about Critical Race Theory and my argument against structural racism was actually the same as some Black Marxist Professor who also hasn't swallowed the insanity that is happening now.

This lawsuit will probably be filed in the federal district court for the middle district of Georgia. There are four judges in that district. The head judge is an Obama appointee. One judge was appointed by GW Bush; another by President Trump. The fourth judge, appointed by Obama, is Leslie Abrams-Gardner, Stacey Abrams's sister. Hmm.

Oh and I am not a Marxist but I also do not believe that everything should be viewed through a racial lens and that much of what the leftists argue are so-called structural racisms (and that is what this dopey lawsuit is all about- that GA is structurally racist against blacks due to ID requirements) are actually problems of poor people whatever race they happen to be.

Thus Garland ousted as AG & Trump reinstalled to then appoint a new AG & replacement for the woman put in replace Garland's Fed judge spot thus wiping Garland from the map. IF a UNIVERSAL LAW i.e. applicable to ALL people regardless of any individual or group characteristics is made, and its operation finds more of one type rather than of others being caught under its provisions, that is NOT automatically make the law a discriminatory law against one group of people. That more black people the USA offend against the criminal law (mostly against members of their own black community) is both a statistical and matter of fact and not a consequence of the criminal law itself being discriminatory.

Joe has no idea what is going on now and will not live long enough to see another election. The people pulling his strings are the real problem and we know who many of them are: Garland, Ron Klain, Schumer, Pelosi, Dr. Jill, the vixens of the squad, etc. By not nullifying the election last November, we have allowed them a big foot in the door to communist dictatorship. Rudy paid the price for saying "stolen election" but all republicans and the supreme court should be singing the same song. It was stolen.

Attorney General Merrick Garland's suit is outrageous. The Georgia legislature is only restoring procedures to to protect ballot integrity that existed before Covid-19 came along. In several cases voting days and hours have been expanded from those that were in place before Covid-19. The motivation for this suit is so flagrantly partisan that I dread to think if Obama had succeeded in placing him on the Supreme Court.

Lots of Republicans have ideas and plans to find better candidates and to raise more money for 2022 and 2024, but that’s not the answer. These plans won’t work.Take my home state of Nevada as an example. Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016 but still lost Nevada by about 27,000 votes. Then, in 2020, when Trump got the most votes of any Republican candidate in the history of America, he lost Nevada by about 33,000 votes. Nevada is a purple battleground state, just like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Trump lost those six states by razor-thin margins. That was the whole enchilada.
