Dozens of women went topless for New York City's annual Dyke March Saturday—as smaller than usual crowds turned out for Sunday's main Pride parade amid COVID restrictions. The Dyke March—which celebrates lesbian pride—began at Bryant Park and finished at Washington Square Park, where couples splashed around in the fountain and embraced. For some campaigners showing breasts in public is a form of protest to assert the right of women to dress as they wish. The main Pride parade Sunday is being touted as a virtual event, with a smaller scale march across three blocks. Organizers predict 'millions' will watch on TV.

Comments:

All we want is to be treated the same as anyone else, to not be called names, and also as women to not be treated as sexual objects. And to underscore the point we'll march the streets half-naked while flaunting a disparaging name that only we're allowed to use. Photo #4 is quite ironic.

I don't know who ever said that only 2% of humanity was queer, but they sure got that wrong. The closet held a ton of them , now that they are out we are seeing it. Pride in being queer is a bit far flung, I see nothing to be proud of. You either is or you aint, but proud?

I don't even know how to react anymore to stories like this. Why do so many feel the need to flaunt their sexuality to a public THAT DOES NOT CARE. For years homosexuals (can I use that word without being cancelled) just wanted to be treated like everyone else. Just a family, working, raising their kids, cooking out on the weekend. Point of order: When you dress as Tinkerbell with rainbow ribbons stitched around your crotch, blowing glitter at the crowd through a plastic sex toy and wearing more makeup than Cleopatra that's where we part company. It is difficult to look upon your lifestyle as anything but creepy. And now the lesbians are baring their breasts demanding they should not be looked upon as sexual objects. They are insane. I work, have a family, a home to take care of, chores and other obligations to attend to. The LAST thing on my mind is dressing up and parading around town telling everyone I am a straight, white, Christian woman. Time to celebrate me and my sexuality. As Col. Potter would have said, "horse hockey". Tired of these people and their foolishness.
