Dr. Julianne Malveaux, who is poised to become the first-ever dean of Ethnic Studies at Cal State University in Los Angeles, is learning that her words can indeed come back to haunt her.During a 1994 appearance on PBS, Malveaux expressed her disdain for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas by publicly wishing for his death.“I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter, and he dies early, like many black men do, of heart disease,” she said.It took Malveaux nearly 20 years to walk back her death by breakfast comments aimed at the now 73-year-old conservative black justice, and take into account the damaging results that from such flippant

Yeah, I'm pretty sure she's sorry she got caught. Like most liberals/Democrats/media whores.
That and since she's getting close to meeting her maker, she (like many of us), realize that maybe it's time to be a little more gracious.

Not really news. Just another leftist regrets getting called out for saying what she really thinks, afraid that it might threaten her position feeding at the public trough and her ability to indoctrinate students to think this way.

Is nobody going to mention how sexist it is to say “his wife feeds him…?” As if he owns “his” wife and its her role to just feed him and keep her mouth shut as she slowly kills him. How many ways is Mal-vo a hypocrit?

WHY are people like this still working---think of the damage she is doing to students, while their parents shell out huge amounts of $ for the privilege.

The ONLY place this vile excuse for a human being could find a job would be in higher education - which speaks volumes about the precipitous decline of academia in general.

Ok Dr J, did you get fully vaccinated? Your early Death wish for someone else will soon become your reality. Write your last well and testament, but a lot at First Lawn and bend over and kiss your dumbass goodbye.

She only regrets being publicly called on her hate. She doesn't regret thinking it or saying it, and hasn't retracted it in any way.
Just regrets the 'public' part.
Still a nasty, racist, hateful person.

No university needs a department of ethnic studies let alone a dean. Wasted money and loans for degrees that cannot qualify for jobs that earn enough to justify the bother.

Please read the article: Malveaux's apology was made ten years ago (2011) in the wake of the Gabbie Giffords shooting when she was president of Bennett College. The apology was surprisingly frank and straight forward. To me, it fell short in two respects. She said her comment really wasn't that funny when it wasn't funny at all. Additionally, it was not a direct apology to Justice Thomas (and his wife) and that is to whom the apology is owed. Still, she doesn't shirk from from owning her own behavior saying, "...my comment about Clarence Thomas was not only uncivil, it was ugly and unnecessary." She runs from her behavior more than I like to see, couching the apology on her awakening to the impact hateful speech has on civility, yet -- it is a better apology than those made by the typical leftist politician or talking head. I would give the apology a "6" on a 10 point scale and hope she continues to evolve.

Isn't she special. How come the liberals aren't shunning her? That was a pretty racist thing she said.

America's taxpayer-funded institutions are riddled through and through with malevolent haters like Malveaux.
That is why I advocate for removing taxpayer money from all educational institutions and privatizing.
If liberals want to spread hate, let them do it on their own dime. Not mine.
