The Truth: Biden is Supposed to Deny
Himself Communion

Years ago, because my best friend had some Polish connections, I’d sometimes attend a “Polish” Catholic church in Brooklyn, New York City. Attendance was great enough so that some parishioners had to participate in Mass on the sidewalk, and they, at the appointed times, would kneel down on the pavement as those inside the church knelt in their pews. But something else that occurred would’ve also been striking to too many American Catholics: After the consecration, fully half the parish did not go up to receive Communion. The reason why was that, unlike people such as Joe Biden and  CORRECTION*

Comments:

Biden shouldn't be waiting for the Church to be saying sit down, he should be sitting down on his own.

The headline is exactly right. If Joe is truly "devout" he knows this. Many people will not receive if they have not been to Confession. Joe cannot use weekly Confession as a loophole because it doesn't work if you have no intention of actually repenting. Also, to be valid you must have a firm resolve to not re-commit your sin. The Apostle Paul wrote " Apostle Paul’s warning that anyone who improperly receives the Eucharist “eats and drinks judgment upon himself” (1 Cor. 11:29). Aside from the scandal he gives each time he receives, and the scandal of some bishops allowing him (and all the other "devout" Catholic's in power) to commit this public sacrilege, the only person hurting Joe's soul is Joe.

Why all the concern about Biden and communion? He's a dirt bag pol and no matter what the Catholic Church says is of no concern to me. It won't change the direction of the country nor the world.

Biteme is Catholic because in the coal region of Pennsylvania ones religion is important (or at least it used to be). The minute he thinks he can stop going to Mass and still have people vote for “Good Catholic Joe”, he’ll be gone. He was and is a fraud.

Jesus said that if you gave up your soul to inherit the world, you would reger it. Joe should start listening to Jesus.

That is true. No one should be taking communion, in any Christian Church, if they have unresolved sin.

Joe's so "Catholic" he still says " . . . and also with you" that one or two times a year he performs the Catholic act for the cameras.

I have no idea if Biden has taken communion recently -- or even for decades. And i wouldn't even care much except that Biden preens the lie that "I'm a practicing Catholic. I practice my faith." He doesn't practice his faith in any material respect. The priest if St. Anthony Catholic Church in Florence claimed to have refused him communion during the campaign.

If I recall, during the campaign his staff released his 2019 taxes, and there was not one single dime for the Catholic Church. There was $1200 for some Methodist church.

Thank you! Finally, someone addresses the fact that these Catholic politicians should not be presenting themselves for Holy Communion to begin with~~they are in a state of mortal sin. Follow Pope St. John Paul II and Pope Benedict's directives: talk to them privately and try to convince them to repent; if they persist in their sin, deny them Eucharist.

A good reason for not taking communion when one is in a state of unrepentant non-belief is that such spiritual mucking about can be bad for one's health. Seriously bad. Communion is to be taken soberly, brokenly, because His Blood was shed, His body was broken for all. If this is done lightly... whew. To those cafeteria Christians with phony public faith who think they're automatically entitled to heaven, that hell doesn't exist..it's there, and they're going. (Hope all the lies and cheating were worth it.)

Protestant America, at one time, feared that a Catholic President would take his cues from Rome. That was understandable. Biden should take his cues from the electorate, he does not.

Democratic mayoral candidate Eric Adams appeared in public with Gov. Cuomo on Wednesday and addressed everything from the city’s surging shootings to the governor’s sexual harassment scandal. Ahead of a meeting with community leaders in Brooklyn to discuss the Big Apple’s epidemic of gun violence, Adams — who last week narrowly won the Democratic primary — decried the city’s increasing lawlessness and said officials needed to address recent soft-on-crime initiatives.

A new study by several academic researchers indicates a rising trend in U.S. police resignations over the past year, one that appears to have been exacerbated by the Black Lives Matter-led riots and protests that swept the country last year and generated a massive wave of anti-police criticism. The study, written by University of Nebraska Distinguished Associate Professor of Criminology Justin Nix and University of Utah PhD candidates Scott Mourtgos and Ian Adams, found that within "a large police department in the western US" voluntary police resignations "increased by 279%"

The too-close-to-call Democratic primary race that will likely decide New York’s next mayor was thrown into disarray after election officials admitted they accidentally included “test” results in the vote count, leading to 135,000 extra ballots. The botching of the city’s first ranked-choice election was first flagged by front-runner Eric Adams, who pointed out that preliminary results from the Board of Elections showed that 941,832 votes were cast for the Democratic mayoral nomination, a huge increase from the 799,827 that were counted on primary day last week. The BOE clarified its screwup in a tweet Tuesday night.
