Sen. John Kennedy posted: "Folks, as you might already know by now, I’m running for re-election for U.S. Senate in 2022. I promise always to fight to protect your values from the radical left. Will you help me kick off my campaign today by chipping in whatever you can?" Kennedy was on the Sean Hannity show joking around that he put up pics and sayings like "pretty please with sugar on top" and "stand your a** up for the National Anthem."

Comments:

I'll take Kennedy over any Democrat they could put in his way.

Noted constitutional expert and Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz said Saturday former President Donald Trump’s enemies are trying to “use the law in a weaponized way” to attack him politically using lawsuits premised on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. “I think what he did was protected as president by executive privilege and by the First Amendment,” Dershowitz said on Newsmax TV’s “Saturday Report.” “This is an attempt to use the law as a weapon.” Dershowitz said legal actions very often are premised on political retribution, including in New York, where Attorney General Letitia James “ran for office on the campaign promise of getting Trump.”

Dr. Anthony Fauci’s just-released government emails confirm that, during the height of the pandemic when former President Donald Trump was still in office, he had indeed communicated “on a nightly basis” with anti-Trump CNN commentator Chris Cuomo. This first became known last May when, while speaking with Fauci on CNN, Cuomo expressed his gratitude to the National Institutes of Health director for having looked out for him when he’d contracted the coronavirus earlier that spring.

He turned off his car, which has a keyless start, got out of the car, and had stopped to talk to community leader Ben Norman and was just a few feet away from his white Mercedes coupe. Brown told police that he noticed four children no more than 11 or 12 years old, the youngest possibly 6 or 7 walking around a nearby store. Within seconds they were in his car.

On Saturday, USA Today published an op-ed written by Chelsea Mitchell, one of three female athletes at the center of a legal challenge to Connecticut’s unfair transgender rules that allow biological males to compete against females in women’s sports. Apparently facing some backlash a few days after publication, USA Today altered Mitchell’s words and claimed that she had used “hurtful language.” On Tuesday, USA Today slapped an “Editor’s Note” at the top of the article. The note reads, “This column has been updated to reflect USA TODAY’s standards and style guidelines. We regret that hurtful language was used.”

“Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade said Monday he believes that Dr. Anthony Fauci has known from the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic that it was created in a lab in Wuhan, China after the nation’s lead immunologist refused to dismiss the possibility over the weekend. Earlier this month during an event sponsored by the Poynter Institute, Fauci, who is also the Biden administration’s chief coronavirus medical adviser, was asked about whether he was confident COVID-19 developed naturally. “No actually. I am not convinced about that. I think we should continue to investigate what went on in China..."

SAN DIEGO — A federal judge on Friday struck down California's ban on assault weapons as unconstitutional but left plenty of time for the state to file an appeal. Judge Roger T. Benitez, who has favored pro-gun groups in past rulings, called the AR-15 rifle, used in many of the nation's deadliest mass shootings, "a perfect combination of a home defense weapon and homeland defense equipment." "Yet, the State of California makes it a crime to have an AR15 type rifle," Benitez wrote. "Therefore, this Court declares the California statutes to be unconstitutional." He praised the AR-15 as a rifle that should be formally protected by the law for its "militia readiness."

Forty years ago, researchers described the mysterious cases of five gay men who had fallen ill with a pneumonia caused by the bacteria Pneumocystis carinii. Two of the five men had already died. That type of pneumonia usually affects only individuals who are severely immunocompromised, researchers wrote in the June 5, 1981 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. Scientists would soon discover that a disease that would come to be known as AIDS was devastating the men’s immune systems. Three years later, scientists pinned the blame for AIDS on a virus dubbed HIV, or human immunodeficiency virus. Margaret Heckler, the then

It may be that being 88 now is like being, say, 78 a few decades ago. So despite being the oldest, this might not be the most age-impaired Senate in our history. A lot of people have been wondering why, suddenly, the leftist establishment is embracing the idea that COVID came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology (which is tied to the Chinese military) after denying the possibility for so long. The answer may lie in the fact that the Defense Intelligence Agency has for months been debriefing a high-level Chinese Communist Party defector — but withheld the information from other agencies until recently because of fears that those agencies are compromised. In other words, it's a twofer: China did create and release the virus, and our federal government cannot be trusted.
