A Sunday school teacher was arrested at Thursday night’s Timberlane Regional School Board meeting moments after she and several other unmasked attendees showed up to demand an end to a school mask mandate. The meeting was planned to be held in person at the district’s Performing Arts Center, but board Chairwoman Kimberly Farah quickly shut it down before it began and required that it be held remotely. “I didn’t want to jeopardize the health of the staff and the students,” Farah said as several Plaistow police officers and state police troopers swarmed inside and outside the auditorium.

Sen. Johnson: vast majority of people on January 6th peacefully protesting, in jovial mood

Sen. Ron Johnson suggests that the vast majority of people who were at the Capitol on January 6 were peacefully protesting and in a "jovial mood."
Back in March Johnson also said he didn't feel threatened by the protesters, but he would have if BLM or Antifa was involved, per report on ABC:
Johnson, a Republican, told a Wisconsin Radio show host that he was not concerned for his safety during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, which left five dead, but that he may have been if the protesters had been linked to those groups.
Folks on the left have been freaking out at Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for criticizing the “woke ad” put out by the military.
As we reported, Cruz cited a video contrasting the “wokeness” ad with the Russian military ad.
So, some in the media and on the left accused Cruz of “attacking the military” — as opposed to attacking the harmful attack that Democratic policies have wrought and the harmful signals that they are sending out to countries like Russia and China who might decide to challenge us.

The White House Council of Economic Advisers deleted its entire internship page after the Daily Caller News Foundation reported that the office offered exclusively unpaid positions despite calling for a higher federal minimum wage.
The Council of Economic Advisers (CEA), which crafts the Biden administration’s economic policies, deleted all mention of its internship program sometime between Thursday and Friday afternoon. The webpage where the unpaid internships were posted currently shows an error message and its general “work for us” page no longer mentions the internship program.

Reporters out of Chicago are alleging that Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot is now granting interviews only to journalists of color.
NBC 5 Chicago political reporter Mary Ann Ahern took to Twitter on Tuesday to mark the "midway point" of Lightfoot's first term in office and apparently acknowledged her failed effort to land an interview.
"As @chicagosmayor reaches her two year midway point as mayor, her spokeswoman says Lightfoot is granting 1 on 1 interviews - only to Black or Brown journalists," Ahern tweeted.
In a House hearing on Wednesday on Examining Emergent BioSolutions' Failure to Protect Public Health and Public Funds, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) called for a full investigation into the origins of COVID-19, which emerged from Wuhan, China, early in 2020 and spread across the world at breakneck speed.
"Where did this thing start?" Jordan asked a question that Americans have been now asking for well over a year. "Did it jump from an animal to humans? Or was it a leak from from a lab? A lab in Wuhan, China? The American people would probably like to know. After all, they've had their liberties assaulted for the past year."

The Democratic Rep. who allegedly farted on television got into a verbal altercation with an aide for Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. That would be Eric Swalwell and he addressed the situation on TV.
MSNBC posted: "After leaving the House floor, an aide to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene yelled at Rep. Eric Swalwell to take his mask off. Swalwell said he has had enough of Greene's "marauding goons" who try to "terrorize" his colleagues in Congress."
Swalwell posted on social media: "I had a mask on as I stepped off the Floor. An aide with @mtgreenee yelled at me to take my mask off...."
Penn State has announced that they will move away from their "male-centric academic history" by banning all language that refers to gender.
The Penn State Senate Committee on Curricular Affairs has approved a motion entitled, "Removal of Gendered & Binary Terms from Course and Program Descriptions." Under the motion, Penn State will scrap titles such as "Freshman" through to "Senior" and remove all language including "he/him/his and she/her/hers.

Former Rep. Paul Mitchell (R-Mich.) is blasting House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) for scheduling a vote to determine Rep. Liz Cheney‘s (R-Wyo.) future in House Republican leadership.
During Tuesday’s appearance on CNN, Mitchell was asked what he thought of McCarthy’s role in the push to oust Cheney from her leadership position.
“I just think Kevin’s primary interest is achieving to get the gavel. He will do almost anything to get the gavel and become speaker — short of throwing his mother under the bus,” Mitchell responded.
California's population fell by more than 182,000 people in 2020, marking the first year-over-year loss ever recorded for the nation's most populous state.
State officials announced Friday that California's population dipped 0.46% to just under 39.5 million people from January 2020 to January 2021.
The news comes one week after the U.S. Census Bureau announced a paltry population growth for California, resulting in the state losing a congressional seat for the first time because it grew more slowly than other states over the past decade.
But the census numbers reflect the state's population in April 2020. The new state numbers released Friday reflect the state's population as of January 2021.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said she plans to leave the role next year to spend more time with her family.
"I think it's going to be time for somebody else to have this job in a year from now or about a year from now," Psaki said in an interview with CNN's David Axelrod, her former colleague in the Obama administration, on Thursday.
