Washington — G. Gordon Liddy, a mastermind of the Watergate burglary and a radio talk show host after emerging from prison, died Tuesday at age 90 at his daughter’s home in Virginia. His son, Thomas Liddy, confirmed the death but did not reveal the cause, other than to say it was not related to COVID-19. Liddy, a former FBI agent and Army veteran, was convicted of conspiracy, burglary and illegal wiretapping for his role in the Watergate burglary, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. He spent four years and four months in prison, including more than 100 days in solitary confinement.

I used to enjoy his morning radio show and even got "The Liddy Letter" newsletter for awhile. He'd spend a few moments every show reviewing the newspapers of the day, especially the Washington *BLEEEP*, which was as liberal then as it is now. Rest in Peace, good and faithful servant.

I once spoke to him on his radio show. I made him laugh. Topic was Obama and the Chevy Volt. I said "Obama is pushing the Chevy Volt. If you buy one you will be pushing it too." RIP Loved you book. "When I Was a Kid, This Was a Free Country"

I use to enjoy his radio show. It is hard to believe he spent all that time in prison for a third rate burglary looking for a democrat little black book with the names of democrats who visited prostitutes. The little rat that told on them must be happy today. RIP G. Gordon Liddy.

The democrats were alleged (Probably true) to be running a call girl/boy ring out of the Watergate Apartments. Evidence of that was what Liddy was after. The democrats then moved the operation to an island owned by, what's his name....

Favorite memory of Gordon Liddy was when he'd just been released from The Clink and BaBa WaWa was waiting for him like a cat outside of a mouse hole. She'd ask questions and he would respond in either German or Latin. She was infuriated and couldn't believe that he didn't understand how important she was. Will miss him. RIP.

The "G man" was well ahead of his time. He warned us about the danger of China and the Chi-coms before anyone else and (sadly) predicted we will go to war with China in the future saying we ignore their advances at our own risk. We have lost two radio giants, so far this year, with Rush and G. Gordon. BTW - love the Babwa WA WA story above!

I listened to his radio talk show. What I learned was that he was sentenced re Watergate because he refused to answer ANY questions put to him by his captors. Thus the lie that he was the Watergate "mastermind" remains untrue. He also recommended an excellent pistol that one can use to defend one's self. He also wrote several good books. And... by the way: the Associated Press, which wrote this article controls almost 90% of all "news" you hear .... it is mostly bogus.
