"Real Time" host Bill Maher closed his show Friday night by sounding the alarm on China's growing dominance over the United States.
"You're not going to win the battle for the 21st century if you are a silly people. And Americans are a silly people," Maher began the monologue, alluding to a "Lawrence of Arabia" quote.
"Do you know who doesn't care that there's a stereotype of a Chinese man in a Dr. Seuss book? China," he said. "All 1.4 billion of them couldn't give a crouching tiger flying f--- because they're not a silly people. If anything, they are as serious as a prison fight."

A New York State whistleblower says that another wrongheaded policy has cost lives to the state’s most vulnerable, and he blames Governor Andrew Cuomo.
In 2011, Jeff Monsour won a landmark federal jury trial for whistleblower retaliation after he disclosed abuses in New York state’s group homes. He told The American Conservative that he and Mike Carey, whose son died in a group home over fourteen years ago, have been warning everyone—including Gov. Cuomo—of the so-called floating policy and its deleterious effects on COVID spread in group homes.
“You must immediately STOP all floating of caregivers throughout your entire mental health system. This is extremely dangerous and deadly,”

The Federal Communications Commission designated five Chinese Communist Party-linked tech firms as “national security threats.”
Among the companies targeted by the ban are Huawei, ZTE, Hytera Communications Corp, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology, and Dahua Technology Co.
“Such designations, which will extend to subsidiaries and affiliates of the targeted entities, are required under the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act of 2019,” South China Morning Post notes.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) highlighted how telecommunications products from and services provided by the aforementioned companies posed “an unacceptable risk to US national security or the security and safety of US persons.”

Tens of thousands of motorcyclists arrived in Daytona, Florida earlier this week, present to celebrate the city’s yearly Bike Week tradition. This year’s Bike Week is the 80th occurrence of the tradition, with some estimates of up to 300,000 attending the event. (snip)
The yearly event started as a meeting of rival motorcycle gangs, evolving to a national motorcyclist meetup. The bikers were largely welcomed in the city, with the Chamber of Commerce and city governments displaying materials welcoming them.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s reputation as the tough-love COVID savior of New York, promoted by the liberal media, is utterly collapsing. (snip)
It’s truly unfortunate that it took this second scandal of sexual harassment to turn the tide against Cuomo. His first major scandal, forcing COVID-positive patients into the worst possible environment for the disease’s deadly spread — nursing homes — and then fudging the numbers to cover up virus deaths in those facilities, should have been more than enough for Democrats to call for his resignation.

After nearly two months, the state of Pennsylvania is found to have certified votes that are in error.
The Pennsylvania House has just uncovered that the certified results in Pennsylvania for President are in error by more than 200,000 votes. This is more than twice the difference between President Trump and Joe Biden.
What a mess. Republican State Representative Russ Diamond uncovered and reported today that the results for President are way off in Pennsylvania. More ballots were cast than people voted by more than 200,000 votes.

After weeks of partisan back-and-forth over whether a justice should be appointed so close to the presidential election, Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed to the Supreme Court on Monday, eight days before Election Day—making her the third successful nomination during President Trump’s tenure and the sixth conservative justice on the nine-person court.
Barrett was approved to be an associate justice on the Supreme Court in a 52-48 vote that ended Monday evening, with all but one the Republican senators, who have a majority, voting in her favor.

Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court by the Senate Monday evening, filling the vacancy left by liberal Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
The vote was nearly entirely along party lines: Senator Susan Collins of Maine was the only Republican to dissent, voting with all 47 members of the Democratic Caucus against the conservative Trump nominee over concerns of the proximity to the election.
The final vote was 52-48.
"Because this vote is occurring prior to the election, I will vote against the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett," Collins said in a statement over the weekend.

Danielle D’Souza Gill, the daughter of best-selling author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, believes President Donald Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett has tapped into one of Democrats’ deepest fears: The Supreme Court may one day overturn Roe v. Wade.
The controversial 1973 ruling struck down a Texas law banning abortions and thereby overrode all state laws outlawing abortions nationwide.
D’Souza Gill, who is a member of the Women for Trump advisory board, argues in her newly released book “The Choice: The Abortion Divide in America,”

Well, it’s becoming clearer. This is the third day of hearings on the Supreme Court nomination for Judge Amy Coney Barrett. And support for her confirmation in the polls are soaring. In liberal America, they think confirming her is an unpopular position. It’s not. It’s risen 17 points, with nearly half the country supporting her placement on the Supreme Court, 48/31. Twenty-one percent are still undecided, but it has remained the case that more Americans want her confirmed than not (via Morning Consult) [emphasis mine]:
The level of support for Barrett’s nomination, an increase of 11 points since President Donald Trump announced her nomination on Sept. 26,
