Southwest Airlines pilot on hot mic rants against
Bay-area 'liberal f---s'

A Southwest Airlines pilot’s recorded rant about Bay Area residents quickly went viral online this week, with the pilot at one point calling those who live in San Francisco “goddamn liberal f---s.” A Southwest spokesman confirmed to The Hill Thursday night that the audio was captured on one of the company's flights and that the pilot worked for Southwest. The spokesman added that the company was "fully addressing the situation internally." The remarks, which were picked up over the Mineta San Jose International Airport’s air traffic control scanner, occurred on a March 12 flight and were posted on Live ATC,

Comments:

The company is 'concerned' but it will sell a lot of Southwest tickets.

What’s to “address “? The pilot is telling the truth. Let’s hope he doesn’t meet the same fate as the Georgetown Law professor.

Most aviation professionals (except flight attendants) are politically conservative. I base this opinion on my triple decades of experience in the industry. I only met one pilot who loved Obama and I would never fly with that clown in command. Southwest will ask him come to the Chief's office some late afternoon. The will tell him, "Hey, you need to watch that mic switch, you know?" and the pilot will agree. Then the Chief will walk over to the closet, pull out a bottle of whatever his "poison" might be, and they'll proceed to drink and tell stories. Hands will shake and then a press report will say that the pilot was disciplined and it will never happen again. The LAST thing Southwest will do is relieve a pilot or fire him. They, as well as every airline, are struggling to obtain qualified pilots from this country. The military is not putting them out at the rates they once did and kids know that aviation isn't the romantic career it was once dreamed of being.

If I remember my ground school flight training correctly, there is not supposed to be any idle chatter in the cockpit. In fact, the FAA uses, for training purposes, the cockpit tape of an airliner, where the flight crew members were debating which restaurant to go for dinner, when they landed, and they lost altitude, didn't notice it, and crashed in the Everglades, killing lots of people. (the co-pilot, a lad, kept trying to tell the oldtime PIC (pilot in command) that they were losing altitude, but the lad was ignored.)

the pilot should receive appropriate training. 1) Make sure mic is a few inches from the mouth for more clarity; 2) Pilot should be schooled on the Medical Consequences of Homosexual Behavior, so that he can rant for longer periods of time to an audience that needs to know. 3) He should register as a senatorial candidate in any election that needs no more liberals.

Just in case you’re wondering who won last week’s Democratic primary in New York City’s mayoral race, there will be new updates later today. But to save you a little bit of time, we can give you the short version of it. Keep wondering. There will not be a winner announced after today’s next round of voting and this process will be continuing for weeks to come. Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams prevailed last week with a fairly healthy margin of ten points, but that apparently no longer matters, thanks to Gotham’s new ranked-choice voting system

WASHINGTON, - The U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday ruled in favor of a consortium of energy companies including Enbridge Inc (ENB.TO) seeking to seize land owned by New Jersey to build a $1 billion natural gas pipeline despite the state's objections. The 5-4 ruling, authored by conservative Chief Justice John Roberts, handed a victory to PennEast Pipeline Company LLC, a joint venture seeking to build the 116-mile (187-km) pipeline from Pennsylvania to New Jersey. The justices overturned a lower court ruling in favor of New Jersey's government. Other companies joining Enbridge in the consortium include South Jersey Industries Inc (SJI.N), New Jersey Resources Corp

The New York Times admitted Tuesday the crumbling bipartisan infrastructure plan “is exposing cracks” in the Democrats. “The brewing fight, which pits progressives against moderates more aligned with the president’s tactics, is exposing cracks in the party’s fragile strategy for enacting its economic plans,” the Times wrote. President Joe Biden and Republicans stuck a $1.2 trillion deal that excludes far-left “wish-list items that Republicans have rejected, such as universal preschool and community college access, a health care expansion and a broad effort to combat climate change.” “But progressive House members,” the Times continued, “have begun questioning the depth of that commitment, particularly after Mr. Biden walked back a threat

How durable? Durable enough that otherwise healthy people might not need a booster unless and until there’s a diabolical new variant capable of punching through the current vaccines. Immunity against the current variants shouldn’t fade, if this new study is accurate. If the B.1.617 “Delta” strain is as bad as SARS-CoV-2 gets, those of us who’ve been vaccinated might truly be done with preventive measures. And those who’ve recovered from COVID and then gotten vaccinated may have so much damned immunity that they won’t need a booster even if something scarier comes down the pike.

President Joe Biden delivered an infamous gun control speech last week, claiming that Americans “need F-15s and maybe some nuclear weapons” if they want to restrain government tyranny. Yet he also used a flat-out lie to justify his gun control agenda — a lie that led even The Washington Post to deliver Biden a scathing rebuke. “The Second Amendment, from the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun and what type of weapon you could own. You couldn’t buy a cannon,” Biden declared last Wednesday. The Washington Post‘s Glenn Kessler fact-checked this statement, giving Biden a whopping Four Pinocchios.

While President Joe Biden may want to distract Americans from the border crisis and downplay the threats of Marxist critical race theory (CRT) and inflation, Americans know better. Most Americans recognize the border crisis as a serious issue, blame Biden’s policies for exacerbating it, and say Biden should return to former President Donald Trump’s policies on the border. Americans also worry about the threat of inflation and oppose CRT in schools. At his speech on Saturday, Trump hit Biden on the border crisis and suggested that the crisis vindicated his successful policies — the policies Biden abandoned. A recent poll suggests Trump is correct. Americans may give Biden a high
