NYT: Bipartisan Infrastructure Plan Exposing Cracks

The New York Times admitted Tuesday the crumbling bipartisan infrastructure plan “is exposing cracks” in the Democrats. “The brewing fight, which pits progressives against moderates more aligned with the president’s tactics, is exposing cracks in the party’s fragile strategy for enacting its economic plans,” the Times wrote. President Joe Biden and Republicans stuck a $1.2 trillion deal that excludes far-left “wish-list items that Republicans have rejected, such as universal preschool and community college access, a health care expansion and a broad effort to combat climate change.” “But progressive House members,” the Times continued, “have begun questioning the depth of that commitment, particularly after Mr. Biden walked back a threat

NEW YORK — "Foolishness." "Unfortunate." "Generations of failures." New York City's Board of Election is facing widespread criticism after it mistakenly included some 135,000 "test" ballots in partial results released Tuesday in its tightly-contested mayoral election. The three-way contest — between Brooklyn borough President Eric Adams; Maya Wiley, former counsel to Mayor Bill de Blasio; and Kathryn Garcia, former Department of Sanitation head — has been upended with a murky picture of who is ahead after the election board's botched release and scores of mail-in votes remain to be counted. Ranked choice voting is being used for the first time in citywide primaries this year,

President Donald Trump and Gov. Greg Abbott both appeared on Sean Hannity’s show tonight in a town hall about the border. It was an event with an extremely enthusiastic and favorable crowd for Trump. Hannity started it by comparing and contrasting how Trump got the border in hand. How Trump got the number of people illegally entering to fall because of all his efforts including the Remain in Mexico policy, building 500 miles of new border wall, and discouraging people from coming. As opposed to the Biden/Harris team whose policies encouraged people to come illegally. Biden reversed almost all of Trump’s border “fixes.”

When it rains, it pours. And when it comes to ratings at the Jeffrey Zucker-led clown show known as CNN, it’s a monsoon. The second quarter’s ratings came out on Tuesday and the immature, noxious, and repugnant network suffered its worst month in total viewers and the 25-54 demo since June 2019. And that's not to mention that primetime ratings have tumbled 71 percent in total viewers and 78 percent in the demo since January. Meanwhile, the Fox News Channel continued to assert its dominance over the competition with its 78th consecutive quarter leading cable news and sixth straight win in all of cable, led in part due

A Democrat budget plan spends hundreds of millions of American taxpayer money on border security for a multitude of Middle Eastern countries while stripping all funds for construction of a border wall at the United States-Mexico border. On Tuesday, the Democrat-controlled House Appropriations Committee released their Department of Defense funding bill that includes $870 million in taxpayer money for “border security” measures in foreign countries such as Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and Oman. Of that funding, $150 million will go to Jordan to help “enhanced border security.” Likewise, the budget allocates $500 million to be used “to provide assistance to the government of Jordan to support the armed forces of Jordan

You may get some deja vu with the news about what just happened in the saga of the NYC mayoral election today. The election was actually last Tuesday. But they’re still counting and don’t expect to be done until sometime in July. Brooklyn Borough President and former police officer Eric Adams had been the surprise leader in the race when he came in first place last Tuesday, with 82 percent of the results in. That didn’t make some on the left happy, although he was still a Democrat. The election has ranked-choice voting and he was the first choice
No need for now to mask up indoors again, California says 8 replies

California health officials are not ready to ask people to wear masks indoors again, despite the fast-spreading threat of the delta variant that now accounts for nearly a quarter of new coronavirus infections in the state. The delta variant has many across the world concerned, and on Monday, Los Angeles County health officials strongly recommended that all residents again wear a mask in indoor public spaces, regardless of vaccination status. However, they did not reimpose the indoor-mask mandate for vaccinated people that was dropped statewide on June 15. “The California Department of Public Health is closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 and its variants across our state,”

Mask freedom for the vaccinated has proven short-lived in Los Angeles, where county health officials are urging everyone to keep wearing face coverings in grocery and retail stores, theaters and other indoor places in which state and national guidance now says the immunized don’t need them. And while state and Bay Area health officials aren’t signaling a similar walk-back of the mask rule they loosened just two weeks ago, several infectious disease experts said with the troubling COVID-19 Delta variant on the rise, a recommendation such as L.A. County’s wouldn’t be a bad idea. “I found Los Angeles County’s approach very prudent,” said Dr. John Swartzberg, professor emeritus of infectious disease

A Monday poll indicated most Americans want no governmental action on the coronavirus delta variant. The Trafalgar Group asked respondents if the government should take action on the coronavirus delta variant. Sixty-three percent said the government should take no action, considering “the widespread availability of the vaccines and treatments individuals can to make personal decisions on how to respond.” 17.7 percent said “government should reinstate mandates for mask wearing and social distancing.” And 12.3 percent said they were not sure.

Oops, they did it again. YouTube is continuing to enforce their policy of defining what ideas are acceptable to appear on their site and which ones are “dangerous misinformation.” Anyone creating content that includes a discussion of any information that falls into the latter category will find their videos removed and their account suspended. This vaguely defined category can generally be boiled down to a description of “things liberals don’t like.” But sometimes the platform is a bit off in their aim, it seems. If you’re familiar with a group called “Right Wing Watch,” you likely know that it’s composed of a pack of self-appointed “fact-checkers” who exclusively

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is vowing to do what he claims "the Biden administration is refusing to do" when it comes to border security. Taking it one step forward, this week the two-term Republican governor will tour the U.S.-Mexican border with former President Trump as he pledges to continue building a border wall. Wednesday’s encounter with Trump along the border, which will likely grab plenty of coverage from coast to coast, comes after Abbott in recent weeks has also signed bills restricting the teaching of critical race theory in his state and allowing Texas to carry weapons without a license.

Is it possible for something to be a masterful troll but also be completely necessary at the same time? Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has given us an answer to that question. With the Biden administration abdicating its duty to enforce border laws, causing a massive surge in illegal immigration, Texas is taking matters into its own hands. But it’s where Abbott is getting the funding that is going to turn heads. The money in Biden’s plan was purposely void of strings attached because the game was to shower blue states with money, allowing them to bail out their mismanaged budgets and perpetuate left-wing priorities. Abbott has turned that on its head

Vogue, the world's fashion bible, has placed Jill Biden on her cover as the epitome of fashion. She's a "goddess," they explain. Which is a stretch, given that the first lady has sported getups like this loud red zebra print dress, or these huge-print patterned pantyhose worn with elfin spike heel ankle boots. It goes to show that its whole schtick is politics, not fashion. After all, the big fashion bible for the world's stylish somehow managed to overlook the nation's truly stylish first lady, Melania Trump, a former super-model, who not only was quite beautiful, but age-appropriate and elegant in her four years as first lady.
