A witness to the Colorado supermarket shooting said the incident was a "big pitch for gun control." The unidentified witness interviewed by a local CBS News reporter said his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren had gone to King Soopers pharmacy for the COVID-19 vaccine. He said the suspected shooter had shot the woman standing in line in front of them. "They hid, ran upstairs, and were hiding in a coat closet for the last hour," the man said. He said he'd tried to stay in contact with his daughter, who had silenced her phone and was giving updates through text so

A concealed would have stopped this guy after the first shot, just like the church member in Texas. When other people have guns, shootings are far less likely.

Taking guns away from law abiding citizens just leads to more situations like this, since the nutcases know they have more unarmed victims to shoot (like rats in a barrel) with no fear of anyone shooting back until several minutes later when the police arrive. But we all know that lie-berals don't have enough working brain cells to understand logic, reason, or facts!!!

Not allowing a law abiding gun owner the ability to keep his weapon WOULD NOT change what happened at that store.

Colorado is a shall-issue state, and residents can get concealed carry permits from their local sheriff's offices. There are currently no purchase permit or firearm registration requirements for handguns. All the more reason one needs to be carrying. Doesn't sound like enough Coloradans are taking advantage of their rights.

The bodies of the victims aren't even cold yet and the crazies on the left are already using this incident to call for gun control. Because some of the victims were in line for the COVID-19 vaccine I'm sure their deaths will be attributed to COVID.

I suppose the gun walked in there all by itself. Why does mass murder never seem to call for control of mass murderers?

Not it does not. It is just the opposite. If one skilled, legally armed person had been there at the right place, this horrible person could be dead now.

Gun-banners could care less about mass shootings since they don't much care about deaths or freedom. Their motivation is simply power which is why Hitler banned guns. How many gun-banner will volunteer to visit law abiding gun owners to confiscate their guns. Nope. THEY will leave gun confiscations to OTHER MEN WITH GUNS.

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- Atlantic City says it will redo a Black Lives Matter tribute on a street because the original painting of those words across the entire road confused motorists who didn't know where to drive on it. Instead, the words "Black Lives Matter" will be painted onto the repaved road in a manner that does not obscure lane divider markings, Mayor Marty Small said Thursday. The City Council voted Wednesday night to spend $36,000 to repave the road, which police said had become so confusing to motorists that the city blocked it off at either end with barriers

Civil rights leader and MSNBC host Al Sharpton threatened to accuse Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona of "supporting racism" over their approval of the Senate filibuster. "The pressure that we are going to put on Sinema and Manchin is calling [the filibuster] racist and saying that they are, in effect, supporting racism," Sharpton told Politico. "Why would they be wedded to something that has those results? Their voters need to know that." SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — When then-President Donald Trump visited Mount Rushmore last year for a fireworks display, Lakota activist Nick Tilsen saw an opportunity to further a goal of returning to Native American tribes control of land they once held. It would land him in jail, facing felony charges after he organized a demonstration to block a road leading to the monument, but it also made Mount Rushmore a focal point for that effort, known as the Land Back Movement. Now Tilsen, who heads a Rapid City, South Dakota-based Indigenous advocacy organization called NDN Collective, has a plan to make dramatic

President Joe Biden put Kamala Harris in charge of resolving a surge in migration on the U.S. southern border that’s overwhelming federal immigration authorities, handing the vice president the first major assignment of her tenure. SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The mayor of Oakland, California, on Tuesday announced a privately funded program that will give low-income families of color $500 per month with no rules on how they can spend it. The program is the latest experiment with a “guaranteed income,” an idea that giving poor people a set amount of money each month helps ease the stresses of poverty that often lead to poor health while hindering their ability to find full-time work. The idea isn’t new, but it’s having a revival across the U.S. after some mayors launched small, temporary programs across the country in
