Al Sharpton threatens to accuse
Manchin, Sinema of 'supporting

Civil rights leader and MSNBC host Al Sharpton threatened to accuse Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona of "supporting racism" over their approval of the Senate filibuster. "The pressure that we are going to put on Sinema and Manchin is calling [the filibuster] racist and saying that they are, in effect, supporting racism," Sharpton told Politico. "Why would they be wedded to something that has those results? Their voters need to know that." Sharpton is part of a larger push from the left to eliminate the filibuster in order to pass Democrats' election and voting

Anything and everything is racism when Democrats don't get their way.

That calling a person a racist is getting old. Sharpton saying this just shows there is no reason for anyone to support the filibuster if the threat has to be being called a racist. All political.

The Roman republic government was based on having each elected official that could propose laws to the legislature be paired with a co-counsel. This way they would have to agree on the law before it could be brought forward and no one (except a special "dictator") could impose their own will. This worked for about 300 years. It was eventually abandoned when one counsel, Lucius Cornelius Sulla, who wanted a land reform law passed simply had his loyal followers beat the co-counsel to death. This violent solution soon became commonplace and was a key reason for the fall of the Roman Republic.

President Biden on Thursday said the number of unvaccinated Americans still remains "unacceptably high," but insisted that his administration's vaccine requirements for the federal workforce and private employers are "working" to ensure more individuals receive shots to protect against COVID-19. A new study from Kelly Blue Book found that the average price paid for a vehicle in September it an all-time record of $45,031 as discounts dwindle and buyers in the market gravitate toward high-end models. "The record-high prices in September are mostly a result of the mix of vehicles sold," Cox Automotive analyst Kayla Reynolds said.
