Houston, TX – The career criminal accused of murdering Houston Police Sergeant Sean Rios while out on bond for a weapon-related offense last year has again been released on bond. Robert Soliz, a 24-year-old gang member, was the subject of a massive manhunt in the wake of the Nov. 9, 2020 shooting death of the 47-year-old police sergeant, KSAT reported. Soliz was arrested on a murder warrant during a traffic stop on Interstate 10 in west Houston at approximately 3:15 p.m. the following day, and was taken into custody using Sgt. Rios’ handcuffs, KTRK reported.

We are approaching a time where vigilante justice may be the only justice.

Is it because I’m in my seventh decade, but I do not understand the how or why of this? Is it because the victim was a police officer?

Can the judge be held liable for any illegal activity of the criminal while the criminal is out on bond?

When justice sleeps or turns it's face away, vigilantism wakes, and stalks justice, unserved.

These bond decisions need to be removed from the purview of judges. Bond for an accused murderer should START at $1 million and require cash not property.

This thanks to Harris County District Attorney and social justice warrior Kim Ogg--the best friend a felon ever had! If she had her way the jails would be empty. Houston is much less safe every day she warms her chair.

May as well save money and defund the police, after all, since it's clearly pointless to bother having them arrest anyone. Oh, wait, the Marxists still need police to arrest conservatives.

That's Harris Co and a Democrat stronghold and they're all "woke" there so that's no surprise.

I share number 1’s doctrine! Mess with someone we know, you will simply disappear! There are parts of Lake Minnetonka that are over 80 feet deep and there are hundreds of lakes around our area! You will meet your final judgement and will be buried without ceremony!

Police aren’t paid much for what they do. So they must feel very appreciated and valued by this kind of action from those administering justice from their safe benches. Don’t we dislike the majority of attorneys and judges?

The murder of a peace officer in Texas is a capital offense....no bond period. So what dumb a-- liberal demorat judge did this? And the AG of Texas needs to remove him immediately.

The message to HPD is clear.
Don't bother to capture cop killers.
Plus don't forget to turn off the body cam.

#24 nails it. Body cam off, cop killer shot while resisting arrest.
Every
single
time.
And no jury would convict. At worst, a hung jury, time after time.
