The Chicago woman who has managed to sneak past airport security and board dozens of flights without a ticket allegedly escaped from an electronic monitoring residential facility before returning to the airport. “Serial stowaway” Marilyn Hartman was taken into custody at O’Hare Airport after fleeing the court-ordered facility Tuesday, according to WGN. Investigators were able to arrest Hartman at the international airport thanks to her tracking device, the report said. The 69-year-old (Snip)Hartman, who struggles with bipolar disorder, claims police keep blaming her mental illness for her long rap sheet, instead of airport worker ineptitude.

Imagine what a determined attacker could do, versus a known oddball they're looking for in particular, and whose booking photos probably are posted in every break room because she makes them look foolish again and again. FTA: “I got by them, this is the thing that is so crazy, by following someone they would be carrying like a blue bag,” the Second City stowaway told the CBS affiliate. “And the next thing I know, I get into the TSA line and TSA lets me through, and they think I’m with the guy with the blue bag.” Security professionals told the station her simple tactics are very alarming in a post-9/11 world.

The incident took place in the city’s South Loop neighborhood outside the Art of Pizza, which Portnoy was reviewing. (Snip) "Did that guy get carjacked?" Portnoy asked. "That guy just got carjacked?" "I think the guy just hit the police car," another man in the video said. CPD said that the crime was not a "vehicular hijacking," which requires the suspect to obtain the vehicle through force. Instead, the crime was a "motor vehicle theft,"

If you live outside Chicago and you’re hoping to get a COVID-19 vaccine at the United Center, you’ll have to wait – at least for now. Illinoisans who aren’t Chicago residents were suddenly blocked over the weekend from booking COVID-19 vaccine appointments at the West Side sports arena. (Snip) The federally-run site on the West Side first allowed any senior citizen eligible for the vaccine to sign up.
