LONDON (Reuters) - The majority of global COVID-19 deaths have been in countries where many people are obese, with coronavirus fatality rates 10 times higher in nations where at least 50% of adults are overweight, a global study found on Thursday. The report, which described a "dramatic" correlation between countries' COVID-19 death and obesity rates, found that 90% or 2.2 million of the 2.5 million deaths from the pandemic disease so far were in countries with high levels of obesity.(Snip) Strikingly, the authors said, there is no example of a country where people are generally not overweight or obese having high COVID-19 death rates.

No science here. Countries with no obesity have low rates of Covid testing and younger population. Move along, nothing to see here.

No secret that obesity is a driving factor in a bunch of disease-related mortalities. But this is a political disease, perhaps more so than HIV. Such discussion is more blasphemous than herd immunity.

Of course it is. Obesity is a driving factor in plenty of bad stuff. The thing here is everything is a "driving factor" with these lying scumdogs; whatever it takes to keep the geese panicked and hiding behind their worthless snotrags. Obesity, fasting, smoking, not smoking, going outside, staying inside, blah blah blah...

A friend who has a lot of family in NJ/NYC area reported this to me last year. He lost two family members to Wuhan flu, and most of the extended family, dozens of people, had it. He said that it was clear that the obese relatives died and the normal weight ones were fine.

Fat acceptance must be ground into the dust and the remaining bits stomped into oblivion. Parents need to take care of their kids, set a good example and stop being their good buddies who take them to eat fast food several times per week. Schools need to cut the SJW crap and find the time to promote fitness again. It is ridiculous that so many liberal news outlets and publications try to promote the "fat can be healthy" lie. Other than drug addicts, anorexics and cancer patients, you'd be hard pressed to find a thin person who is in poor health. It is absolutely criminal that the press will not use its bully pulpit to spread the word that obesity is killing our adults and is doing our young people no favors.

Even as a small child I knew being a picky eater had its benefits. When I was about 4, I heard my aunts complaining about their weight and saying, "Its the sauces that get you!" I always scrap any sauce off my food. (It was tough when I was on the rubber-chicken luncheon circuit, bit I found workarounds.) TK tries his best. He makes us a nice Sunday dinner, but leaves me to my own devices during the week with the caveat that I have to eat something before midnight. Food is just more trouble than its worth. Yet, TK says I'm the strongest woman he's ever known; I can drag huge doug fir limbs and toss 'em on the burn fire, and I'm TK's helper in all his homestead projects. No one looking at me would say I was unhealthy. I was 135 the day I graduated high school, the day I was married and still today. "Its the sauces that get you!"
