Oh, heck no. The Trumpites next door to our pandemic getaway, who seem as devoted to the ex-president as you can get without being Q fans, just plowed our driveway without being asked and did a great job. How am I going to resist demands for unity in the face of this act of aggressive niceness? Of course, on some level, I realize I owe them thanks — and, man, it really looks like the guy back-dragged the driveway like a pro — but how much thanks? These neighbors are staunch partisans of blue lives, and there aren't a lot of anything other than white lives in neighborhood. This is also kind of weird.

On Thursday, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo dismantled President Joe Biden’s claim that “America is back” under his administration when it comes to foreign policy. Pompeo defended the Trump administration’s foreign policy accomplishments and noted the Obama administration’s failures, insisting that America cannot afford eight more years of Obama-style failure. “‘Back.’ Does he mean back to when ISIS controlled a caliphate in Syria that was the size of Britain? I hope not. President Trump and our team took that down,” Pompeo told Fox News Primetime host Trey Gowdy, his former colleague in the House of Representatives.

Time published a story that provides absolutely astonishing details and framing of activities that took place around the 2020 election. (Snip) This article is an introduction. The title is provocative enough. “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election.” The story goes on to describe in precise detail a coalition of various powerful special interest groups that united, beginning a year before the election, to ensure Joe Biden would win. Time begins by describing the trepidation that surrounded the 2020 election after a summer filled with left-wing violence and the concern that more violence would follow the election outcome.

Cardinal Blase Cupich has demanded for more than two years now that Catholic religious orders that operate in his territory fully disclose to him any information on their clergy members who now face or previously have faced accusations of child sexual abuse.

A Virginia woman is facing death threats and investigation by the FBI after liberal comedian Kathy Griffin doxed the mother of two and her family on social media. In a desperate bid for attention, Kathy Griffin reposted the picture of her holding a fake, severed head of President Trump for the third time on social media in January. [Tweet] “Just resign now. You lost. It’s over,” Griffin gloated in a tweet alongside the famous photo of her holding the plastic, bloody head. Daniel McCarty, a 43-year old former Democrat, shot back at Griffin for promoting violence against the president and her world has been turned upside down since.

Just when you thought the FBI couldn’t fall any further, the Bureau utterly, hilariously, and luridly beclowns itself. In a formal document, a criminal charge. Using a Photoshopped picture from 4-chan, the reviled (by all people who abhor wrongthink) website where a wag substituted a lurid picture for the official portrait hanging on the wall of the US Capitol in the background of a shot of the Viking horn helmet guy and others who stormed in on January 6, 2021. It’s still not clear yet if California’s Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom will even face a recall election this year, but if he does, allies of former President Donald Trump are abuzz about one potential candidate: former acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell. All eyes in Trump-world are on Grenell, who served as U.S. ambassador to Germany before Trump appointed him the first-ever openly gay cabinet member in U.S. history when he ran the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).“I think what you just pointed out with leadership in Texas and what Matt Gaetz has pointed out about leadership in Florida, that’s what California needs,” Grenell said

Hours after The Post revealed that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi docked $5,000 each from the pay of two GOP congressmen for flouting her new metal detectors, a group of Republican pols demanded she pay the same fine for the same offense.GOP members of the Committee on House Administration made the t*t-for-tat demand Friday night, claiming Pelosi had been seen on Thursday entering the House Chamber without going through the metal detectors she herself had ordered installed after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.“Yesterday at approximately 9:59 a.m. multiple members observed the Speaker of the House entering the House Chamber without completing security screening,”

I haven't spent much time covering the long miserable slog that was the NY-22 House race where a small number of votes divided the Republican winner and the Democrat loser resulting in an extended process that involved a judge personally going over the votes, Democrat attempts to challenge every vote, and that dragged on until now. NY-22 is a demonstration of what a long and grueling process a forensic examination of the votes in one House race looks like. It's also been an extended class in Democrat election hypocrisy. [SNIP] Democrats are obviously allowed to make such arguments without being accused of incitement, sedition, or being deplatformed.

The Supreme Court lifted California's ban on indoor church services during the pandemic Friday, ruling that Gov. Gavin Newsom's strict orders violate the Constitution's protection for the free exercise of religion. The justices in a 6-3 decision granted an appeal from a south San Diego church that has repeatedly challenged the state restrictions on church services, including its ban on singing and chanting. The ruling overturned decisions by federal judges in San Diego and San Bernardino, and the 9th Circuit Court in San Francisco, which upheld the state's orders despite earlier warnings from the high court.
