The corruption of the Renaissance Church prompted the Reformation, which in turn sparked a Counter Reformation of reformist and more zealous Catholics.
The cultural excesses and economic recklessness of the Roaring 20s were followed by the bleak, dour, and impoverished years of the Great Depression.
The 1960s counterculture led to Richard Nixon’s landslide victory in 1972, as “carefree hippies” turned into careerist “yuppies.”
So social, cultural, economic, and political extremism prompt reactions—and sometimes counterreactions.
The Bush-Clinton-Obama continuum of 24 years (from 1993 through 2015) cemented the bipartisan fusion administrative state. Trump and his “Make America Great Again” agenda were its pushback.

I would totally expect a "pushback" in the next election, except for the fact that the Demon-Rats have mastered the art of election theft. They were able to steal votes, and create faux votes for Lyin' Joe Biden, with no consequences at all. The "art of the election steal" is complete.
So the Demon-Rats will never lose control of either house of Congress, or lose the presidency, again. It's that simple. Oh, they will allow a few Republicans to win Congressional seats to keep up the appearance that we still have a 2-party system. But they will not allow enough Republicans to win to ever give up control of either house of Congress again. Why should they when they know they can cheat and win any election they want to?!?!?!?
So don't waste any times waiting for the big pushback. That would only work if we had fair elections in this country, which we clearly never will again!!!

This harsh reality is one we have not had to face before. If there is nothing left of the system for us to believe in where do we go from here?
"What we are witnessing is the death of civic nationalism. While individual liberty, equality before the law, and individual rights are laudable concepts, they are no longer a part of the people’s reality. In fact, there is growing suspicion that civic nationalism was always a lie. It was a way to keep middle-class whites from seeing who was subverting their society and corrupting their culture.
The death of civic nationalism is no small thing. The managerial elite has depended upon it for generations. The managerial class relies upon middle-class whites following the rules and believing in those rules... the managerial class depends on the white middle class to support and defend the liberal democratic order.
When the people are up in arms over a policy or the behavior of an officeholder, that is not a threat to the system. It is a defense of the system. Implicit in the demands for a change in policy or for someone to resign is a faith in the rules. People outraged by the rules, by the system itself, are a very different thing. They are a direct threat to the system; one the managerial class has never had to face. No one knows how they will respond, but the results so far suggest it will only make things worse." VDH is brilliant but is very careful
to Not Go Too Far with Politically Sensitive statements that, although FACTUAL, could jeopardize his Standing in Academic Circles -
“ 100 million fewer votes on Election Day “ is a
convenient Euphemism for the unprecedented and
dangerous Increase in the use of Unaccountable and Untraceable MAIL- IN BALLOTS
“Radical Changes to Voting Laws”
can be understood as Radical, but Certainly Not
Illegal or Unconstitutional
But I Do Like VDH
There’s always room for improvement

Republicans have been weak leaders for many, many decades. Reagan and Trump were exceptions, but the Bushs and all the others lacked the skills or desire to do more that try to maintain the status quo. All this was apparent with Obama's election and re election. All is now lost for America and it's greatness will never be recreated. We will see the implementation of socialism and the loss of God-given rights.
Such a pity.

For too many years Republicans have played the "gentleman" and eschewed rolling up their sleeves and getting down in the mud to fight those who have been and are determined to destroy our Constitutional Republic.
Pinky ring fingers, daintily holding the fine china teacups.
President Trump showed how the Republic is worth fighting to save, and how it can be done. But too many in the Party were offended by the necessary pugilism, and the willingness to reject the image created BY the opponents, a strawman of their creation for the fops to sneer at and flail their scrawny fists at, whining all the way.
That's half of it. The rest of it has to do with our failure to make sure that the Message, facts and truth, are disseminated to the public which has been content to loll about in ignorance until a couple of months before Election Day when they suddenly pay more attention to the endless stream of mendacious commercials promoting the latest iteration of politicians, whether OLD RETREADS or new, fresh ones with sharp creases in their trousers.

There may be small pushback, but for naught. The Commiecrats are in charge and will NEVER release their grip on us. It's how they roll.

Even if the elections were fair, what would we push back with? There is no opposition party. There are just a bunch of cowards hiding under their desks in fear for their committee appointments or big fat donor checks. They only come out to talk tough during a campaign, and then they never follow up. I'm tired of voting republican. If we lose, we lose. And if we win, we still lose.

Possibly an attempted gun confiscation, but short of that, never.
And please stop it about "elections." That ship has sailed.

There will be 11-35 million new democrat voters and an entire generation of indoctrinated citizens (Red For Ed !) by the next presidential election. Kamala will most likely be president by then and she'll have the ultimate force field - female and minority. Most of the large cities are controlled by democrats. Vote harvesting, motor voter, illegals voting, mail in voting and felons voting has brought the Californication of the entire nation. It's not looking good. Next up after amnesty? Mandatory gun buy backs with a felony conviction if you don't comply.
