With Fox News out of the rotation for White House Briefing Room seats, Thursday’s briefing left plenty of space for reporters from the liberal media to step up and commit random acts of journalism. Thankfully, some did with pointed questions calling out President Biden’s plethora of executive orders and the reality that the administration had sided with teachers' unions over “science” when it came to keeping schools closed. Unfortunately, there were still reporters that were far more casual and friendly, lobbing either bland or outright softballs. A man wanted in connection to a racially motivated crime against a Toledo, Ohio Catholic cathedral shot and killed a police officer executing a warrant for his arrest last week. 27-year old Christopher Harris reportedly shot and killed 24-year old police officer Brandon Stalker. Arrest warrants had been issued for Harris in connection to an alleged vandalism and arson at Toldeo’s Rosary Cathedral on January 18th. Harris had allegedly spraypainted the phrase “Jesus is Black”and “black” on the cathedral multiple times, before dousing the church doors with fuel and lighting them aflame.

A major theme among conservatives over the past few weeks is that “Donald Trump should start a new party” – the American Conservative party, the American Patriot party, or something similar. The impulse behind this is understandable, considering the collapse of the GOP in the face of open electoral fraud and the Capitol false-flag operation, in which we learned that it’s okay for a cop to shoot an unarmed white woman if she’s a Trump supporter (snip)But despite all this, a new party would still be a mistake. On Tuesday, Democrats introduced a bill that would raise the minimum wage nationally to $15 an hour over five years. That would more than double the current minimum wage of $7.25 an hour. The Raise the Wage Act would increase pay to $9.50 an hour in 2021, $11 in 2022 before rising n in 2023 to $12.50 per hour. The minimum wage under the legislation would tick upward to $14 in 2024 and then $15 in 2025. Job losses from the minimum-wage hike would be at least 1.3 million, according to the Congressional Budget Office. But most economists who aren’t socialists think that number will be much higher.

Officials with the American Conservative Union on Tuesday accused Politico of attempting to “cancel” the Conservative Political Action Conference utilizing a campaign of “misleading claims” aimed at scaring off sponsors.Organizers of CPAC sent a letter to the CEO and top editor of Politico blasting the outlet and threatening to take legal action.The letter opened by claiming Politico has put aside its “ethos” to provide readers with accurate, nonpartisan reporting and information.“We see Politico’s ethos abandoned, and instead find its reporters working, not to report news, but instead to create a self-justifying narrative to support its own partisanship,” said the letter from the ACU’s general counsel, David Safavian.
