Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) is following President Joe Biden's unilateral lead, pushing forward with plans to enact a host of progressive policy goals without GOP votes.
Days after Biden issued a historic 17 executive orders on his first day in office, Schumer urged the president to declare a national climate emergency, saying the move would authorize Biden to do "many, many things under the emergency powers of the president … that he could do without legislation." Schumer also joined Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) to encourage Biden to cancel up to $50,000 in student debt via executive order.

When the Republicans had a 50/50 senate, they were warned not to push their agenda. Because the didn't have a mandate.

Democrats have replaced government of the people, by the people, and for the people with government of the radicals, by the radicals, and for the radicals.
They have already overstepped their powers and are clearly driving toward a totalitarian government. They will not let the Constitution or the will of the people get in their way.
Wake up, America, or America will be no more.

I put 4 kids through college without having them take student loans. If he's gonna cancel $50K each, I want a check for $200K. Of course never mind that this is really government spending, which has to be authorized by Congress. If the Republicans even bother to file suit, Roberts will decide it's a tax and uphold it.

Let tyranny reign! The death of the Republic has arrived. We are no longer a free people. We are subjects with no voice over the imperialistic dictators ruling as they see fit.

Isn't anybody going to legally challenge this? Where is the PROOF and the EVIDENCE that there really is an "emergency,'" aside from their assertion that there is one. If they don't have any hard evidence (imminent danger, etc.) that is scientifically valid, this should not be allowed to proceed. Otherwise, future claims of similar "national emergencies" (chocolate supplies, unicorn dust, alien abductions, etc.) could be asserted for all sorts of reasons, new taxes, and so on.
The Republicans just stand there doing nothing and just letting each of these absurd executive orders roll on without a peep.

The Republic of Texas approaches.
Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, S Dakota, N Dakota, Montana, Alberta (Canada), Saskatchewan (Canada), Manitoba (Canada), and a few states along the sides. Let's go EAST. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Flodida.
We have every warm water shipping port in The Gulf of Mexico and more oil than the Saudis ever dreamed of. California and New York can print their own money.
We WILL protect our borders ,north and south.
If you're coming to visit Texas bring your US passport with the pre-approved visitor's visa.

I’m confused. If everything can be done via Executive fiat, why exactly do we need a Congress or Senate?
