The Supreme Court moved today to dismiss a case brought forth by the state of Texas to delay selection of electors in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Georgia.(Snip)While this is a huge “downer” for many Trump supporters, the fight is far from over.(Snip)If they could have demonstrated direct voter fraud to change the results of the election itself, they have had a better chance.(Snip)The case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court tomorrow has real legs. Lin Wood has his case docketed. Sidney Powell and the Trump campaign all have cases working their way up the ladder. Until January 20th comes or President Trump concedes, the battle continues.

President Trump on Friday signed an order giving federal workers a paid day off work on Christmas Eve.The news was a welcome surprise for workers who expected at most a half day.Trump’s order says, “All executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government shall be closed and their employees excused from duty on Thursday, December 24, 2020, the day before Christmas Day.”Former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton only gave half days when Christmas fell on a Friday, as it does this year.Obama allowed a half day in 2015 and 2009, GovExec reported. Someone leaked a zoom call that Joe Biden had with “civil rights leaders”–i.e., grifters like Al Sharpton–on Tuesday. It is interesting in several respects. Here, Biden urges his audience to lie low in talking about the police until the Georgia Senate elections have been decided on January 5, since “That’s how they beat the living hell out of us across the country, saying that we’re talking about defunding the police.” Yes, and it worked, because numerous Democratic Party leaders have said that when they say “Defund the police,” they mean “Defund the police.” Biden’s caution may not be surprising, but his explicit tying of the deception to January 5

In what is hoped to be the beginning of the end of America's COVID-19 pandemic, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Friday night authorized the first vaccine to prevent the disease.
The vaccine, developed by Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech, appears to be extremely safe and highly effective.
It was developed faster than any previously approved vaccine in the United States – not by compromising safety or accepting a mediocre vaccine as some feared – but by spending billions of taxpayer dollars and taking advantage of recent scientific advances.

The U.S. Supreme Court has issued a ruling in Texas’ lawsuit challenging election procedures in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The lawsuit divided the nation, with roughly half the states supporting and opposing the lawsuit, respectively. The Court just denied Texas’ request to file a Bill of Complaint. Justices Alito and Thomas would have granted it, but denied any additional relief.(Snip)“Standing” is required to sue because the federal courts can only hear actual cases and controversies, not hypothetical cases.

Republican Party of Texas Chairman Allen West suggested states should secede from the union after the Supreme Court refused to hear a case President Donald Trump wanted to use to overturn the presidential election. 'This decision establishes a precedent that says states can violate the US constitution and not be held accountable,' West said. 'Perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution,' he added. His comments were quickly read as a push for secession, what southern states did in the lead-up to the Civil War, in a dispute over slavery.

Republican Sen. Ben Sasse commended the Supreme Court for refusing to take a Texas case that President Donald Trump wanted to use to overturn the results of the presidential election. The Nebraska senator also mocked the president and his legal team's conspiracy theories used on Trump supporters to call into question the winner. 'Since Election Night, a lot of people have been confusing voters by spinning Kenyan Birther-type "Chavez rigged the election from the grave" conspiracy theories, but every American who cares about the rule of law should take comfort that the Supreme Court - including all three of President Trump's picks - closed the book on this nonsense,'

MADISON, WIS. — The conservative-controlled Wisconsin Supreme Court agreed on Friday to hear arguments over the weekend on President Donald Trump’s state lawsuit seeking to disqualify more than 221,000 ballots and overturn his loss to Democrat Joe Biden in the battleground state.
The court’s decision to take the case, and to hear arguments on Saturday, came hours after a lower court judge ruled against Trump and said there was nothing illegal about the election or subsequent recount in the state’s two largest counties. The highly unusual Saturday arguments will come exactly 48 hours before Monday’s scheduled Electoral College vote.

WASHINGTON — Voters cast their ballots for president more than a month ago, but the votes that officially matter will be cast Monday. That’s when the Electoral College meets.
The Constitution gives the electors the power to choose the president, and when all the votes are counted Monday, President-elect Joe Biden is expected to have 306 electoral votes, more than the 270 needed to elect a president, to 232 votes for President Donald Trump.
The spotlight on the process is even greater this year because Trump has refused to concede the election

Briskly rejecting a long-shot but high-stakes case, the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday tossed out the Texas lawsuit that had become a vehicle for Republicans across the country to contest President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.
In a few brief sentences, the high court said it would not consider the case for procedural reasons, because Texas lacked standing to bring it.
Texas this week sued to challenge the election results in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin on the basis that those states implemented pandemic-related changes to election procedures that, Texas claimed, were illegal and cast into question the election results.

The coronavirus is accelerating a significant tech exodus out of California, with Oracle (ORCL) announcing Friday that it has moved its headquarters from Redwood City to Austin, Texas. The move came just days after Tesla (TSLA) CEO Elon Musk announced he’d be moving from Los Angeles to Austin. Other tech giants that have recently left California include Silicon Valley pioneer Hewlett-Packard Enterprise (HPE) and newly public software giant Palantir (PLTR).
The coronavirus pandemic and the new work from home reality for many tech workers have been a catalyst for many business leaders to leave the world’s most populous state, which might not be worth the sky-high real estate prices and taxes.

Oracle Corp. said it has moved its headquarters to Texas, from its home state of California to give employees more flexibility on where they do their jobs. The move to Austin from Redwood City “means that many of our employees can choose their office location as well as continue to work from home part time or all of the time,” Oracle said Friday in a regulatory filing. The company will continue “to support” its other U.S. office locations in Santa Monica, California, Seattle, Denver, Orlando and Burlington, Massachusetts, according to the filing.

First, when did Joe Biden first learn that his repeated claims the stories about his son and his brother were Fake News – or in his phrasing, debunked, smears

Simply put, they hate Trump because he represents ordinary Americans — those who are not part of the political and corporate elite, who lack the advantages and connections of the Deep State, who are not media, academics, or celebs. President Trump puts ordinary Americans first, and it drives the elite nuts.
The elite have spent so many years enjoying their advantages, including the psychological advantage of despising ordinary people, that they panicked when someone tried to take it all away from them. They can't go on living without that warm, reassuring sense of superiority.

Just how huge a precedent will the recent Supreme Court decision in Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn turn out to be? We can take one measure from a California court late yesterday in Father Trevor Burfitt v Gavin Newsom. In a stinging rebuke to Gov. Using Brooklyn as a guide, Pulskamp ripped California’s arbitrary decision to shut down houses of worship while allowing commercial businesses to remain open. Any such limitation on an explicit and textual constitutional right requires a strict scrutiny standard, Pulskamp ruled and cited Brooklyn for support. But Pulskamp wonders

New data offers a sobering look at how school closures during the pandemic have affected child welfare reporting.
After school buildings closed last school year, the Washington state agency that investigates child abuse and neglect received 87% fewer calls from concerned teachers, counselors and other mandatory school reporters on average per week through June. This school year, reports are down 59%.
The new data from the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) confirms what many educators, families and officials feared: Fewer eyes on children during the pandemic has resulted in fewer reported instances of neglect and abuse.

In the world of Democrat politics, there are no coincidences. With that principle in mind, it’s possible to understand why Democrat media outlets are suddenly reporting about Hunter Biden’s corruption, a story that spills over onto his father. The first is to get ahead of potential breaking news about Hunter's imminent arrest. The second theory is the one Monica Showalter advanced: The leftists used Biden to attain the White House (or so they believe) and are now ready to get rid of him. This is just an observation (because I'm not looking forward to gulag life), but I think the only thing keeping Trump voters from burning the whole corrupt system down right now is that nobody knows whom or what to attack. That should be a pretty sobering consideration for an establishment class that thinks it just stole the 2020 presidential election fair and square. If there were a ship out in the harbor loaded up with all the Democrats' fraudulent ballots from the election, there's no doubt in my mind that a hundred million Americans would dress up as members of the Washington Football Club and sink that ship

There is a very large, rich, and influential class of Americans who owe their wealth and standing to China, having mightily prospered through business ties to the Middle Kingdom. Every educated person in China understands the way such ties linking a wealthy elite beholden to foreign interests can be used to bring down even the mightiest of nations.
The word “comprador”, referring to the Chinese businessmen that allied themselves with Western imperialists, becoming wealthy, and, in the view of the Chinese Communist Party betraying the nation, is a curse word among Communists.

Groucho Marx once famously quipped, “If you’ve heard this story before, don’t stop me, because I’d like to hear it again.”
Reverend Raphael Warnock—senior pastor at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta (where MLK Jr. and Sr. served as co-pastors) and Democratic candidate for Senate—seems to have adopted Groucho’s joke as a personal mantra: like Yasser Arafat, Ilhan Omar, Linda Sarsour, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, The New York Times, and many others before him, Warnock has attempted to rewrite history, claiming that Jesus of Nazareth was “Palestinian.”

Pennsylvanians' holiday cheer will have to be served at home for the rest of the month. Gov. Tom Wolf on Thursday announced a series of restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19 across the commonwealth, including shutting down indoor dining and on-site alcohol consumption. "This virus continues to rage in Pennsylvania and over the past several weeks, it's become clear that we need to take further mitigation actions to protect Pennsylvanians and stop the spread of COVID-19," Wolf said. "We all hoped to not come to this." Restrictions will go in place Saturday at 12:01 a.m. and be lifted at 8 a.m. on Jan. 4.

I met economist and professor Walter Williams when I interviewed him while hosting a local TV show in Cleveland. We discussed a number of topics but focused on race-based preferences, aka affirmative action. Williams adamantly opposed it, still an unpopular position to take, but especially back then and especially for a Black person. He calmly explained how affirmative action causes a mismatch between a student and his or her ability to succeed on a campus more competitive than would have been the case but for the race-based preferential admission. Without racial preferences, I said, schools like Harvard might have few or no Blacks. To this Williams said, “So?”

It’s now clear that the Hunter Biden story was real, with Hunter himself acknowledging a federal probe into his taxes — one that reportedly began in 2018. Really, it was always clear. Yet, when The New York Post broke the details, virtually the entire journalistic establishment and left-wing punditsphere defamed the newspaper, claiming it was passing on Russian “disinformation” or partisan fabrications. The political media quickly began pumping out process stories about the alleged discord in The Post’s newsroom and about the problems with the reporting.

On Thursday, 15 Republican legislators in Michigan filed a motion in support of Attorney General Ken Paxton’s (R-Texas) lawsuit challening the 2020 presidential election results in four key swing states, including Michigan. The legislators joined the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society in supporting the Texas lawsuit, which asks the Supreme Court to remand the election results to swing-state legislatures for review and potential reversal.
“The state legislature serves as an ‘insurance policy’ against election officials who abuse or misuse their power,” State Rep. Daire Rendon, one of the legislators who signed on to the brief, said in a statement. “And our election officials failed in their primary duty.

On Tuesday morning, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton revealed that the state of Texas filed a massive lawsuit against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin for exploiting “the COVID-19 pandemic to justify ignoring federal and state election laws and unlawfully enacting last-minute changes, thus skewing the results of the 2020 General Election.”
In the couple days following the announcement, dozens of other states have joined Texas in their lawsuit. On Thursday, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives joined the case as well. "PA Speaker of the House, Bryan Cutler was joined by PA House majority leader, Kerry Benninghoff in filing an amici

On Monday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton filed a lawsuit directly with the Supreme Court alleging that Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin ignored statutes enacted by their legislatures in violation of the Constitution’s Electors clause. The lawsuit further accuses these states of violating the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection clause by using more favorable criteria in determining the validity of votes cast in Democratic districts, citing the Court’s 2000 ruling in Bush v. Gore, which prohibited differential standards for ballot tabulation. Despite being written off as a publicity stunt by the defendants, the Court has docketed the case and gave them until Thursday, December 10, at 3 p.m. to file responses.

Christine Fang, or Fang Fang, a suspected spy whose reported mission was to network with and befriend up-and-coming American officials on behalf of China, remained Facebook “friends” with a number of her lesser targets for years after her cover was blown and she left the country in 2015.
Among her most high-profile targets was Rep. Eric Swalwell, who cut ties with her after the FBI briefed him on her activities, also in 2015. But his father and brother were among dozens of people who remained on her Facebook friends list until this week.

Arthur Schwartz, a close ally of Donald Trump Jr. tweeted some juicy material on Thursday morning, claiming he sat in on a phone call between former Hunter Biden business partner Tony Bobulinski and New York Times reporter Kenneth Vogel, who he said was focused on "discrediting the Biden-China docs & emails." Schwartz tweeted: (Tweets) That's not entirely true, but a look at Vogel's work in the week leading up to Election Day absolutely was focused on discrediting the Hunter Biden-Joe Biden connections in China. On October 26, the Times published a fact-check article by Vogel, Jim Rutenberg, and Maggie Haberman titled "Bidens and a China Deal: What We Actually Know."

Joe Biden has not even been certified as the winner of the 2020 election yet, but is already reportedly crafting new measures for gun control. And it should come as no surprise that he is not even planning legislation to send to America’s representatives but rather is planning to take steps through executive action. As usual, Democrats just can’t wait to take rights away from law abiding citizens. The Washington Examiner reports:Joe Biden plans to move quickly against guns, adding the issue to his list of first executive orders, according to his top policy aide. MSNBC host Al Sharpton said on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the 17 state attorneys general and Republican lawmakers who support his lawsuit to contest the presidential election results of four battleground states were involved in “a clear racist attempt to disenfranchise black voters.”Anchor Joy Reid said, “This is nothing short to me of white nationalism in action in our political system. It’s anti-democracy.”She added, “They are only going after cities where the prominent black voters and saying that is where the fraud is.
