LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is again asking Angelenos to cancel all non-essential activities and "hunker down" as the city experiences a dangerous surge in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. The city revised its "Targeted Safer at Home Order" late Wednesday. While the new restrictions and allowable activities mirror those issued by Los Angeles County last week, the language and messaging is far stronger than before. ''Subject only to the exceptions outlined in this Order, all persons living within the City of Los Angeles are hereby ordered to remain in their homes," the mayor's order states. That is not

Heading home to KS after visiting relatives in SC, Va and in Florida.
In rural central Fla, nobody is wearing masks anywhere. Some in SC, reqd in stores in Va.
We are fine, still spraying hands with isopropyl alcohol after leaving any building.
This is way overblown.

When Rebublicans, conservatives, and non-fascist ask questions about goobernment COVID 1984 policies, the leftist scream , 'Where is your medical degree?' Yet, when Dem politicians issue essential house arrest mandates, nobody questions their medical expertise. One wonders why is it that Dems are considered medical experts without any scientific training?

What was his message to homosexual men when AIDS was rampant.? Were they told to stay home and not cruise the gay bars?

The Hollywood elites must be overjoyed with this situation. All of those millions of dollars and no place to go, nobody making movies and all of the stomach disorder and pizza commercial gigs taken over by the special people.

Now all we have to do is get the mayor to do what he expects everyone else to do.

Eric is a pretty paranoid guy. He's drunk with the power Covid-19 lockdown has given him.

Exactly, #9. Drunk with power and starving for more. Word had it he's shopping for a place in the "Biden-my-time/Harris" administration. He's a little tyrant. We have family in LA--nobody's buying what this guy is selling, or pouring down their throats.
I'm with #7, won't stop until WE say so. I'm screaming STOP! but no one can hear it through my mask!
LET'S INCREASE GLOBAL WARMING/CLIMATE CHANGE BY BURNING ALL THE MASKS!!!

I hear the French Laundry is a great "hunkering spot". Long way from LA though. Guess Guido Garcetti will have to hunker down at an LA soup kitchen.

If L.A. did this, we can be pretty sure S.F. won't be far behind.
I'll honor your silly mask requirements (and the social distancing guidelines, for the most part) -- no skin off my nose, figuratively speaking. But your everybody-remain-at-your-homes order? You can stick that where the sun don't shine.

Just heard on the local news in my part of Oregon, that the governor is going to start being more honest with covid numbers. She might be getting bad feedback that people are sick to death of the hypocrisy of Cali and other blue state officials, ignoring their own edicts. Garcetti is a pathetic son, his father was not too shabby as far as democrats usually go.

How about having computers, that have been programmed with our values, run the courts and the governments. What is sauce for the goose...

Aren't there laws against unrestricted "involuntary confinement"?
False imprisonment?
Kidnapping?
