If he is like most Hollyweird and NYC folks, he'll want to apologize to the attacker and pay some restititution for his sins. But, I don't know about Moranis' politics, heck, he might not be a leftist nut. But what are the odds?

Was the sweatshirt black, or was it bLACK? The new AP style guide omits this nuance. NYPD calling it a “random unprovoked assault” shows either incredibly bad pattern recognition or borderline criminal malfeasance on their part; we all know what this is about.

Not surprising that Mr. Moranis being a diminutive man was attacked. He should take some training in Situational Awareness. Maybe even a CCW course.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Hundreds of California-based corporations must have directors from racial or sexual minorities on their boards under a first-in-the-nation bill signed Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom. The diversity legislation is similar to a 2018 measure that required boardrooms to have at least one female director by 2019. Like that measure, it could face court challenges from conservative groups who view it as a discriminatory quota.  Corrections*

Law enforcement officers went door to door warning of the encroaching fire danger but could not force residents to evacuate, Trinity County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Nate Trujillo said.

One lawmaker is fighting attempts to change the name of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial monument, after the U.S. Board on Geographic Names fielded at least one suggestion to do so. A California resident has proposed changing the name of the monument to “Igmu Tanka Paha,” which means “Cougar Mountain,” TribLIVE reported on Friday. It was a name given to the mountain by the Lakota people, who also call it “Tunkasila Sakpe Paha,” meaning Six Grandfathers Mountain. But a senior researcher for the board told the publication that even if the request for renaming was approved, it would only apply to the mountain – not the monument.

Liberals often mock conservative Christians for supporting a notorious sinner and philanderer in Donald Trump, but the left has grown increasingly hostile to biblical (small-o) orthodox Christianity. Even the ostensibly moderate Democratic nominee Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. represents an insidious threat to the religious freedom of conservative Christians. He also represents a threat to Roman Catholics, even though he is himself a practicing Catholic. How could this be? Biden’s rhetoric and policies single out those who adhere to traditional religious beliefs and moral convictions, aiming to limit their ability to live by their consciences and ostracizing them from polite society.
