Actress Jane Fonda called coronavirus "God's gift to the left" because it allowed Americans to see President Trump isn’t helping the working class. The far-left star was busy urging Americans to vote for Democratic nominee Joe Biden and said the upcoming election is a crossroads for the nation. “We are people who can help determine which way humanity goes. What a great gift, what a tremendous opportunity, we’re just so lucky, we just have to use it with every ounce of intelligence and courage and wherewithal we have,” Fonda said in a video published online.

Comments:

Hanoi Jane demonstrating yet again that you just can't fix stupid. Biowarfare waged on the entire globe by the Red Chinese is her idea of a gift? Nevermind the people who died in the US, what about the rest of the world, Jane? Do you think that all the people who died consider this a gift? Once a f**king idiot, always a f**king idiot.

At least she's honest about the Democrats in general, not just the "left." As if there is a difference any more.

So the death of hundreds of thousands of people is a gift from God. Huh! Did not know that. I was taught through the Nicene Creed that the Holy Spirit -- the Third Person of the Holy Trinity -- is the Lord and Giver of LIFE. Back in the day, if someone said AIDS was a punishment from God, they were crucified by the Left. Well (a) I don't believe in crucifying people and (b) I don't view AIDS as a punishment from God. But my how the logic changes when the Left doesn't like someone or something!

This woman was raised as a girl of privilege. Her daddy was successful and wealthy. She was pretty as a young woman and had everything handed to her including access to a Hollywood career since she was a star's daughter. But she never really had an education and she, early on, demonstrated that she was very ignorant and a basically stupid human being. Add to this her marriages and affairs over the years and she comes across as your typical vapid movie star who loves the attention she gets but knows really very little about the real world where people have to work to make a living. And now she is just an aging Hollywood roue trying desperately to hang on to some form of relevance. She is a pathetic character. She has nothing to say that anyone should listen to.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Hundreds of California-based corporations must have directors from racial or sexual minorities on their boards under a first-in-the-nation bill signed Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom. The diversity legislation is similar to a 2018 measure that required boardrooms to have at least one female director by 2019. Like that measure, it could face court challenges from conservative groups who view it as a discriminatory quota.  Corrections*

Two Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee said they will not meet with Amy Coney Barrett -- President Trump’s pick to fill the vacancy on the Supreme Court. Trump announced on Saturday evening that he intends to nominate Barrett to fill the vacancy on the nation’s highest court after the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last week. Democrats indicated that they will oppose Barrett’s nomination, citing her conservative credentials which they see as a threat to health care and abortion rights, while also arguing that it is too close to Election Day for Trump to nominate a justice.

SAN FRANCISCO — California’s largest wildfire is threatening a marijuana growing enclave, and authorities said many of the locals have refused to evacuate and abandon their maturing crops even as weather forecasters predict more hot, dry and windy conditions that could fan flames. The wildfire called the August Complex is nearing the small communities of Post Mountain and Trinity Pines, about 200 miles northwest of Sacramento, the Los Angeles Times reported. Law enforcement officers went door to door warning of the encroaching fire danger but could not force residents to evacuate, Trinity County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Nate Trujillo said.

One lawmaker is fighting attempts to change the name of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial monument, after the U.S. Board on Geographic Names fielded at least one suggestion to do so. A California resident has proposed changing the name of the monument to “Igmu Tanka Paha,” which means “Cougar Mountain,” TribLIVE reported on Friday. It was a name given to the mountain by the Lakota people, who also call it “Tunkasila Sakpe Paha,” meaning Six Grandfathers Mountain. But a senior researcher for the board told the publication that even if the request for renaming was approved, it would only apply to the mountain – not the monument.

Painted in France in 1866 and titled "Slave Market," the painting was described as "show[ing] a black, apparently Muslim slave trader displaying a naked young woman with much lighter skin to a group of men for examination," probably in North Africa. The Alternative for Germany party (AfD) put up several posters of this painting with the slogan, "So that Europe won't become Eurabia." San Francisco experienced a 43% year-over-year decline in sales tax revenues during the pandemic, which has been credited to an exodus from the expensive city. San Francisco’s chief economist Ted Egan attributed the drop in revenue that occurred between April and June to a flight of individuals from the city, rather than a decline in activity due to the pandemic. Egan told Fox News that while areas throughout California experienced a decline in sales tax revenues, other cities saw an uptick in online sales – but San Francisco did not.
