“Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling has emerged into a fresh controversy after she returned the Ripple of Hope Award bestowed upon her by the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights organization in December 2019, following criticism from Kerry Kennedy. Kerry is the daughter of Robert F. Kennedy, and the president of the organization. “Over the course of June 2020 — LGBTQ Pride Month — and much to my dismay, J.K. Rowling posted deeply troubling transphobic tweets and statements,” Kennedy posted on the organization’s website on Aug. 3. “On June 6, she tweeted an article headlined “Opinion: Creating a more equal post-COVID-19

Comments:

Rowling also B-slaps the Kennedy for calling her 'trans phobic'. She is not backing down.

Good for Rowling. Watching the trans movement has been dismaying. Look at the attacks on Dr. Jordon Peterson to cancel free speech in Canada, the Heritage Foundation's conference on the plights of teens who become homeless because they are taken from their parents & the medical malpractice on patients with gender disphoria, the general trend to discard biological science, and finally Dr. Debra Soh's new book entitled 'The End of Gender', which trashes the garbage 'science' of non-binary 'spectrums'. Rowling has been speaking out against this horrible trend to allow children & person under 21 to start hormone treatments without or against parental consent. It is medical malpractice and hormone therapy can make a person sterile & is very painful to 'reverse' - yet many children, especially girls are being pressured by social media to do so. I fear for my grandkids.

While I disagree with her on many things, as a woman, I appreciate her stance on this. Transgender politics is hurting women, especially young women. Predatory males pretending to be female in gym locker rooms and changing rooms, young vulnerable women being told by liberal doctors and the media they need to mutilate their bodies to be mentally healthy.... we need all the allies we can get to fight this criminal, immoral, and destructive perversion.

What on earth is transphobia? I seem to remember that Freud described various stages of growth, including the polymorphous perverse stage, in which a child acts out some of the actions of the opposite gender. I also remember that in one phase the child identifies with the same sex parent, and in another phase the opposite sex parent. Is that all over and done with now? Phobia typically means fear of, as in agoraphobia and arachnophobia. Can one legitimately be accused of fearing transgender persons? Can one not simply express concern about their mental ability to accept gender confusion? What an absurd bunch of snowflakes!

I don't know Harry Potter books really, and I've always been troubled by Rowling's general politics but watching her have a backbone makes me realize I could at least have a dialogue with her and I admire her willingness to let people cancel her even if part of the reason for that is that financially and culturally she is uncancellable.

JK Rowling brought this on herself. It's that simple. I don't even feel sorry for her!!! She decided to show how "woke" she was by claiming Dumbledore was a homosexual. There was no reason for that, but the gay-stapo sang her praises and she felt so special. There was absolutely no (none, zip, zero, zilch) reason to ever go there, but she did. But then she drew a line at all the transgender garbage, and the gay-stapo attacked. How dare she not show total support for all their freak-show perversions?!?!?!? She chose her personal and professional crucifixion that day!!!

Good for Rowling. Men who pump themselves full of hormones and have surgery (Hi Bruce Jenner) are NOT women and to pretend that they can have menstrual periods, get uterine cancer and give birth is quack science gone mad. I don't care what they say. They are men and to pretend otherwise is nonsense. Look at Pennsylvania's head of Public Health, Rachel Levine. That is a man and his past has been so scrubbed that I had to look for some time to find his name was Bradley.

Kerry Kennedy was married to Little Andrew Cuomo, and when Little Andrew didn't measure up, Kerry dumped him for the pool boy, who did. Jerry Falwell, Jr., suffered the same fate, and lost his job. little Andrew will probably run for president in 2024. (Richard Roberts, son of Rev. Oral Roberts, succeeded Oral Roberts as president of Oral Roberts University. Richards' second wife had an appetite for fancy things and college athletes. Richard Roberts lost his position, because of his wife's positions. (that's a pun, I think.)
