77-year-old Joe Biden on Thursday participated in a livestream event with SEIU member and nursing home worker, Shanrika. The livestream was a total disaster.
Biden uttered gibberish, got confused and forgot what he was saying so he had to be prompted by staffers. Then he said this: Joe Biden: “I had nurses at Walter Reed hospital who would bend down and whisper in my ear, go home and get me pillows. They would … actually breathe in my nostrils to make me move, to get me moving,” said Biden.

On Wednesday’s CNN Newsroom, host John King brought on former Obama administration senior advisor-turned-CNN host David Axelrod to celebrate President Obama’s attempt to boost Joe Biden’s campaign. The Democratic hacks praised Obama’s involvement and Axelrod blasted President Trump in comparison to his former boss. King began the segment by praising a staged Biden campaign stunt of Biden and Obama sitting down to talk about how much they detest President Trump, calling it “an important video.” He then brought on Axelrod to hype up his former bosses:

Through its rhetoric on the coronavirus pandemic, CNN has made it abundantly clear its goal has been to send Americans into mentally-crippling fear over the coronavirus pandemic and blaming President Trump directly for the rampant loss of life. Thursday’s Situation Room did that in reacting to the White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing, bragging that “the chickens [have come] home to roost” for the “dishonestly rosy” Trump as it’s “beating him and beating him badly.”In other words, optimism and hope for tomorrow is poisonous to the health of CNN’s narrative. There’s an obvious balance between denial of the pandemic’s seriousness and outright doom and gloom, but CNN has never

The coronavirus pandemic and recession that followed make it hard for any other news to make it to the front page, but the end of the tragedy is in sight. Just this week, researchers at Oxford announced positive results in human trials for their vaccine. Even if we are not yet at the beginning of the end, we may be, as Winston Churchill once said, at the end of the beginning. That means it might be time, at last, for the presidential campaign to focus on more than the pandemic. By this point in the election cycle, we should be hearing about the two candidates’ visions for the next four years.

It is with saddened hearts that we report longtime Townhall columnist Mike Adams was found dead at his North Carolina home on Thursday. No details surrounding his death have been released, according to local news reports. For the last 20 years Adams appeared regularly on these pages in defense of conservative principles. But free speech and abortion were the issues he was most passionate about. Adams had long tussled with the University of North Carolina – Wilmington, where he was a professor of criminology, set to retire Aug. 1, over the opinions he expressed at Townhall, in speeches, and on social media.

With so many big stories breaking, it’s hard to get attention even for important news about the FBI’s and CIA’s misdeeds. Still, the wrongdoing at James Comey’s FBI and John Brennan’s CIA was serious, as the news this week amply demonstrates.
On July 17, we learned that the FBI knew, just as Trump’s presidency was beginning, that there was no evidence his campaign had colluded with Russia. That’s the significance of a memo written by FBI agent Peter Strzok in mid-February 2017 and just released.

In his zeal to throw every hyperbolic superlative at the wall to criticize Donald Trump, Joe Biden has unwittingly undermined one of the foundational principles guiding the Democrats' attack on the American system.
The setting was yet another of Biden's basement video conferences watched by hardly anyone, except perhaps the Trump campaign's war room which seems poised to point out every nonsensical utterance of the Democrats' presumptive nominee for president. Biden, wishing to pile-on the already over-the-top "Trump is literally Hitler!" attacks on his opponent, proclaimed that Trump is "the first racist president in history."

There have been conflicting reports about federal agents in camouflage and unmarked vehicles detaining protesters in Portland, Ore., without cause. This comes on the heels of scenes of federal officers, outfitted in blue shirts and tactical vests but no official patches or badges, protecting facilities in Washington, D.C., in June. While many federal law enforcement agencies are investigative in nature and have special agents, not police officers, some do have a more traditional police role. The Secret Service Uniformed Division has been in operation since 1922

The mayor of Portland and the governor of Oregon might not like it, but President Trump has a winning issue with his federal law enforcement deployments.
The simple truth, one that Democratic politicians such as Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot need to grasp quickly, is that most people don't want to get shot dead. Their ignorance of that reality, willful or otherwise, reflects a quite stunning failure of political leadership.
The facts are clear. The chaos in Portland is a direct consequence of Mayor Ted Wheeler's appeasement of roving criminals. But rather than confront the destruction of private property and attacks on police

The coronavirus pandemic has made all of us acutely aware of the fragility of health. People in fine shape one day have died in a matter of weeks or even days, and the burden of this disease falls especially hard on racial and ethnic minorities. Even patients who survive face long-term consequences from their illness. COVID-19 has caused kidney failure in some patients and lung failure in others, and some of these patients may require a transplant to recover fully from the virus and maintain their quality of life.

In the 1960s and early ’70s, the U.S. was convulsed by massive protests calling for radical changes in the country’s attitudes on race, class, gender and sexual orientation. The Vietnam War and widespread college deferments were likely the fuel that ignited prior peaceful civil disobedience.
Sometimes the demonstrations became violent, as with the Watts riots of 1965 and the protests at the 1968 Democratic convention in Chicago. Terrorists from the Weathermen (later called the Weather Underground) bombed dozens of government buildings.
The ’60s revolution introduced to the country everything from hippies, communes, free love, mass tattooing, commonplace profanity, rampant drug use, rock music and high divorce rates to the war on poverty,

The premeditated attack by violent leftists on Sunday that shut down a pro-police rally in Denver, injuring several of the speakers, is not being forgotten. Yesterday, Michelle Malkin, the best known invited speaker who was roughed up and had to run for her life to safety, filed a formal Colorado Open Records Act Request addressed to the Denver Police Department. (snip) the Denver police did nothing to stop the leftist mob from attacking and shutting down the legal pro-police rally, allowing mayhem, injuries, and the squelching of free speech to go forward unchecked.

The internet is awash with conspiracy theories about President Trump and Ghislaine Maxwell. These theories don’t claim that Trump was somehow involved in the despicable sex trafficking and other perversions of which Maxwell stands accused. Instead, they revolve around Trump’s seemingly careless statement that he wishes Maxwell “well.”
What could that mean? If you take the time to think it through, what it means is that Trump is a very smart man.

Attorney General Maura Healey has turned her office into a virtual nonstop onslaught against President Trump, in the process elevating her own political aspirations on the backs of taxpayers.
Partisan politics has permeated the office of the state’s top cop to an unprecedented level — whether it’s the scores of lawsuits she’s filed against Trump or the pro-Democrat tweets put out by her press aides.
Healey has dropped any illusion of being fair and objective to the point of whether it’s unclear she’d be an effective advocate for a Republican looking for legal protections.

Give the global warming alarmists credit. They never let circumstances distract them. Even amidst a pandemic, they continue to pump fear and fanaticism. It doesn’t matter to them if their fearmongering produces grave human costs.
Take a look at these headlines from just the last few days:
• “Climate change: Summers could become ‘too hot for humans.’” — BBC
• “Climate change: Polar bears could be lost by 2100” — BBC
• “Climate Change Poses ‘Systemic Threat’ to the Economy, Big Investors Warn” — New York Times
• “Major new climate study rules out less severe global warming scenarios” — Washington Post
• “Why the next president should establish

Hillary Clinton’s weird and fiercely loyal troupe of admirers is determined to make you love her.
They are so determined, in fact, that they will even rewrite the story of her life to make her seem more appealing.
The online streaming service Hulu, for example, has optioned the rights to Curtis Sittenfeld’s Rodham, a work of “alternate history” fiction that imagines Hillary Clinton’s life without Bill Clinton. Sittenfeld’s book envisions a world in which an unmarried Hillary Rodham becomes successful and powerful enough to make a run at the White House, all without riding the coattails of her eminently more charismatic and politically savvier real-life husband.

Self-censorship is on the rise according to a new Cato Institute survey that reports nearly two-thirds of Americans are afraid to share their political views.
A new CATO Institute/YouGov national survey found 62% of Americans say the political climate today prevents them from saying what they believe. This is up several points from 2017 when 58% of Americans said they were afraid to share their political beliefs.
“31% of liberals, 30% of moderates and 34% of conservatives are worried their political views could get them fired or harm their career trajectory,” the CATO survey stated.
A recent poll conducted by Politico found that a plurality

Republicans are considering extending the enhanced unemployment insurance benefit at a dramatically reduced level of $400 per month, or $100 a week, through the rest of the year, sources told CNBC.
Congress passed a $600 per week, or $2,400 a month, boost to jobless benefits in March to deal with a wave of unemployment unseen in decades as states shut down their economies to combat the coronavirus pandemic. The policy expires at the end of July as the U.S. unemployment rate stands above 11%, despite two strong months of job growth.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D., Calif.), whose failed presidential campaign flamed out before any primary votes were cast, is a top contender to be Joe Biden's running mate in 2020. Curiously enough, negative stories about Harris's potential rivals for the VP slot have been popping up of late in mainstream media outlets. Imagine that.
Biden's promise to select a female running mate, along with the increasing pressure to pick a woman of color, has left the former vice president with limited options. Only two women of color—Harris and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.)—campaigned for the Democratic presidential nomination.

An African American single mom who lost her job during the CCP coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, and was down to her last $7, donated her winnings from a lottery ticket to a police officer who was shot in the line of duty. When the police department set up a donation link to help her out, she expressed disbelief and asked, “Don’t the officer and his family need it more?” This is how America heals, everyone.
Shetara Sims, from Kansas City, MO, found a dollar in a parking lot of a grocery store and used it to buy a scratch off lottery ticket. Sims won $100,

Massachusetts Gov. Michael Dukakis held a 17-point lead over Vice President George W. Bush in July 1988, as they prepared to contend for the White House. A month later Bush was up eight. And Bush won 40 states that November.
We are at an amazing moment in our history. We all have been thrown off-balance by COVID-19, another pandemic gift from China. Other than the guy who created Zoom, the rest of humanity has been messed up really badly. It is the same all over the world. Coronavirus has ruined all economies. It has jammed hospital emergency rooms everywhere. For example, I follow the nightly TV news out of Israel

With a lot of the country either locking down again or getting close to the brink, worth noting a study published yesterday in The Lancet. I know, The Lancet has been badly politicized and unreliable in recent years (and months), but it does still pull great weight with the establishment, so our public health Faucists should know about it at least.
The study bears the typically dense academic-style title, “A country level analysis measuring the impact of government actions, country preparedness and socioeconomic factors on COVID-19 mortality and related health outcomes.” Here’s the beginning of the long abstract describing what the researchers did:

Every day, evidence mounts that Democratic politicians are delusional by design. They may or may not believe their increasingly absurd versions of unreality, but they are intent on fooling the rest of us until Election Day.
Take New York’s version of Dumb and Dumber, Gov. Cuomo and Mayor de Blasio.
This dimwit duo doesn’t just deny the errors that have made New Yorkers’ lives worse than they needed to be during the pandemic. Like true delusional Dems, Cuomo and de Blasio actually pose as our saviors.

Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Wednesday he simply could not explain why a suspected ringleader arrested in connection with the brutal murders of three Florida friends during a fishing trip had been on the streets, rather than behind bars.
In an interview on "The Daily Briefing," Judd explained that 26-year-old Tony "TJ" Wiggins had 230 felony charges already under his belt.
"And, he’s out on bond for jumping on a guy and breaking his arm with a crowbar," he said. "This guy is evil in the flesh. And, he murdered, he massacred three guys simply going fishing on Friday night near Frostproof, Florida."

The Chinese consulate in San Francisco is harboring a biology researcher who falsely denied connections to the Chinese military to obtain a visa and gain access to the country, according to court documents filed by the FBI.
The filing came as part of a document that cited a slew of other episodes in which Chinese nationals allegedly lied on their visa applications by hiding their military connections.
Tang Juan, a researcher at the University of California, Davis, stated on her J-1 visa application that she "had never served in the military, but open source investigation revealed photographs of her in the uniform of the Civilian Cadre of the PLA [People's Liberation Army],

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suggested Monday night that President Donald Trump commuted Roger Stone’s prison sentence to prevent his former adviser from revealing what happened during the 2016 election.
Stone blackmailed the president, forcing Trump into commuting the longtime GOP operative’s sentence or risk having his former confidante turn on him, Clinton told MSNBC’s Joy Reid Monday night.
“Well, I think it’s pretty clear that Stone threatened him,” Clinton said. “He probably threatened him privately, but he also threatened him publicly about what he would say if he had to go to prison, and this is a continuation of the cover-up.”

If Trump said this you’d never hear the end of it. On the same day Joe Biden accuses President Trump of being a racist — he dropped this line: Joe Biden: Look what he’s doing now. He’s blaming everything on China. He’s blaming everything on the Chinese. And people don’t make a distinction. As you well know from a South Korean and someone from Beijing. They make no distinction. It’s Asia. And that’s the way and he’s just using it as a wedge. Wow. (Tweet/Video)

Tesla has picked Texas as the site for its largest auto assembly plant where it has vowed to employ at least 5,000 workers and will get more than $60million in tax breaks from Travis County and a local school district over the next decade.Work on the plant, which will be over 4 million square feet, is already underway, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said during the company's second-quarter earnings call on Wednesday evening.'It's going to be an ecological paradise ... open to the public,' he said about the new factory on a 2,100-acre (85-hectacre) site along the Colorado River, which is about 13 minutes from downtown Austin.

The socialists are coming—to the state Assembly. A half dozen insurgent candidates in Brooklyn and Queens—some backed by the Democratic Socialists of America—toppled veterans incumbents in Democratic primary races, including close allies of Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie (D-Bronx). With Heastie’s backing, the Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee poured more than $400,000 combined to prop up 46-year-veteran Joe Lentol, Felix Ortiz and Walter Mosley in Brooklyn and Aravella Simotas, Michael Den Dekker and Michael Miller in Queens. They all lost. Insurgent Zohran Mamdani, who defeated four-term incumbent Aravella Simotas in the 36 AD covering Astoria, said in a tweet: “Socialism won.”
