The premeditated attack by violent leftists on Sunday that shut down a pro-police rally in Denver, injuring several of the speakers, is not being forgotten. Yesterday, Michelle Malkin, the best known invited speaker who was roughed up and had to run for her life to safety, filed a formal Colorado Open Records Act Request addressed to the Denver Police Department. (snip) the Denver police did nothing to stop the leftist mob from attacking and shutting down the legal pro-police rally, allowing mayhem, injuries, and the squelching of free speech to go forward unchecked.

Agree with OP, I think they shoved the wrong woman around this time. Just listened to Tucker's interview with Colorado State Rep. Neville, who was also roughed up, he said it was a very dangerous situation and it sounds like he's a fighter too. This is so outrageous!! Police not stepping up to defend patriots who's purpose was to support them. There is a media blackout of the entire incident.

It would appear that the well-intentioned support of the police in Denver is not a good idea--nor is such support deserved.

The Denver Police Dept. has an on line complaint form to report police misconduct. I'm sure they would like to hear from concerned citizens.

Of ALL people, Malkin won't be told to step aside and shut up. I'm so sorry this happened to her, but there couldn't be a better representative for "our side." She's articulate, telegenic, reasonable, logical, politically savvy, AND a woman of color, She's exactly the kind of person the left and media DON'T WANT to be the face of conservatism. I hope she doesn't let up: There's no rationale for what happened, and everyone knows it.

It is possible to sue a city, individuals, or agencies that caused harm for damages. The Federal government may allow a citizen to sue a city or city official in order to ensure the guarantees of the Fourteenth Amendment are protected. That said, the lawsuits against cities, their leaders and their agencies may not go very far in a state with a liberal judiciary, but the DISCOVERY would bring out some very interesting facts.

This woman has more courage in her pinkie than the entire Denver police department. Those officers should be shamed for the cowards that they are, especially since she was there to support them. Serve and Protect my foot. Malkin is going to win this one.

Those police in Denver were just protecting their pensions, not the citizens they swore to protect. If the police don't support me, how can I support the police? Citizens will have to take matters into their own hands, to protect themselves.

Again I see where the media doesn't cover the story. This highlights a big problem in this war on America - only one side is getting a voice. There is some help and hope for our side but it is a matter of too little. It used to be that the government would crank up its own presentation of the news during times of war. Currently, our leaders seem to be employing a political rope-a-dope as a defense. What worked for Ali didn't work for those who followed him, and won't work in politics. We control to executive branch and to a lessor degree the Senate. We need to get our message out. Our side needs to employ the whole of our power - we can do that if we look at how the government used this power during WW2. Get off the ropes and start fighting. Using Twitter is fine, email is okay, but get the IRS's mailing list and send out our own news and inform the people on how we can help. Have the White House press sec. set up our own access for daily briefings and get rid of the press corp access. Fight.

Most stories about this event say things like 'Opposing sides clash' or 'Police hold provocative rally...'' The annual police rally was invaded by the Leftists. The police chief of Denver wants the rioters to be treated with genteelness and pampering.

I live in the Denver area, but not in Denver proper. I've suspected for a while that there's stuff going on in the city that isn't getting publicized, and Malkin's experience just confirmed it. What little coverage of the riot in local news has focused on Malkin's accusations and then has quoted the DPD blaming the organizers of the "Support the Police" rally for what happened, and the BLM crowd saying "we didn't do nuffin'" The 6th annual rally will be the last for a long, long time. They don't deserve our support, and now we know it.

OP is right. Those fools in Denver picked on the wrong target this time to attack. This is a woman who was writing columns and columns worth of articles on MS-13 before the rest of us even knew what that meant, or who they were. So I doubt she is going to back off from going toe to toe with these people. Polis should be ashamed of himself, along with the mayor.
If I understood correctly last night, there is some proposed legislation in congress to make these officials from governors on down to the mayors/PD's that would hold these people responsible legally for any attacks, or other damage resulting from these riots and protests. Its about time. I think it is Ted Cruz who is the sponsor of it. At the very least, why isn't the DOJ going after all these dodgy mayors and their corrupt and cowardly police departments who are avoiding doing their jobs right now? Seems to me that some serious Civil Rights violations are happening right under their noses. It isn't only the minorities who have civil rights, it is the rest of us who do as well.

I’ve been “pushed around” a few times by police officers who think that a uniform and sidearm give them Bully privileges. But far more often, police people are brave, intelligent and fair, doing a very difficult job. The Denver event would seem an exception. And who could abuse a wonderful person like Malkin! Even as an old man, I’d take a beating for her. Shame on the Denver police!

The Marxist/Democrats have near complete control over the news media, they want the same control over police everywhere. That's a major purpose of the BLM riots. They won't call to "defund" police once they gain that complete control; they will use the police the way Hitler and Stalin used the police.

Physician and Senator Rand Paul, remember, was nearly killed by a rabid and hate-filled Democrat. None of the Republican Senate leadership said much. FOX reported it, did few followups but there was no publishing or naming of the piece of filth who intentionally attacked Senator Paul.
Michelle IS just incredible as an articulate spokesperson for our side. Yet, the GOPe cannot not stand this little peanut telling the truth about THEM as well as Democrats. Tucker alone went into investigative details about Denver. She and Tucker are cut from the same courageous cloth.
Where are conservative Congressmen and Senators? Why no presser the day after Denver to denounce the thugs? Folks, this is
so wrong that they are such cowards. THEIR voters are beat, fired, berated and smeared to stand up for all the things our party says THEY stand for. I will keep saying it like Michelle does. Their silence (especially the Congressmen & Senators who are Christians) on this Denver attack on this particular rally is not okay.
