Now watch Florida's case reports suddenly become a non-story.

That makes him look weak and indecisive. At this late date nobody will be able to plan for the darned thing and turnout will be light. Add to that communist chicanery and there wont be any turnout at all. Bad move.

Smart move on many levels! They can put the convention on via Television and Cable. We'll pull the viewership numbers like we do with the rallies and they will be a lot bigger than the DNC.
He could bring in a lot of good entertainment. There are a many starving entertainers this year who will be happy to do the RNC Convention.
Jose Feliciano should be featured singing his song...I'm America. It's a good one.

Trump could seel out a worldwide pay per view no problem. I have one suggestion. To start his events, I would love to see an opening ceremony that starts with everyone singing The National Anthem, followed up by the Flag Salute. Then Trump begins his speech. He needs to fan the flames of patriotism!

His viewership In YouTube will exceed any in person convention! How about South Dakota as a convention site- Kristi Noem has taken care of business-
Where is Biden going to hold a convention? Zoom meeting from his basement?

Democrats, Fake News, BLM and the rest of the Diaper Baby Morons were calling Trump, a Nazi Hitler, a Racist, a Bigot, a White Supremacist and etc. Trump is a Patriot, inside and out and will take a bullet for the American people.

The sheriff of Jacksonville could not guarantee security for the event. What is Trump supposed to do? He would be neglectful to his base if he allows them to get in harm’s way. Antifa and BLM proved they will do anything to disrupt Trump’s rallies. I think Trump made the right decision.

I'm sorry, Donald, but I can see it now. We have a virtual Republican Convention which is immediately and at the last minute canceled and censured by one of several of the big media blacklists.
Good luck...

I don’t agree, #2. He made the decision early and firmly. Look, the party apparatus and GOPe are not exuberant for him and they were not going to go all out to help Trump. I think he heads off trouble by denying Deep State jerks and media opportunities to set traps! HA!! I think he will figure something out !

The Texas virtual convention was a bomb. I trust Trump won’t be talked into something similar.

I'd say move it to another Republican state with the fewest cases, but its probably too late for that. Hopefully he can come up with some other way to garner publicity and rally his base. Not holding my breath. he needs a crowd. That's where he is at his best. Sadly, Trump's enemies have found a way to contain him using CV19.

Just like he got rolled by Fauci and has us all wearing stupid and useless face masks. Obviously not to flatten the curve. That was accomplished months ago. Life is full of risks. Stop caving to this nonsense and let us get on with our lives. Today we drove through a beautiful park with empty picnic tables and deserted hiking paths. The most maddening sight was a wonderful playground area that was taped off and admittance (play) forbidden under penalty of law. When will enough be enough? This country is desperately in need of leadership and instead we have a President who uses the power of the bully pulpit to make fun of his opponent’s obvious dementia and brags about his own cognitive test results. Step up Mr. President before it’s too late.

I could believe that it was a security decision not a plague decision. Perhaps a bit of both. I think he chose the least bad action.

Republicans cannot organize a convention. This is the second failure. This is not impressive.

He should have cancelled the WH news briefings. The media is more dangerous than the rioters.

I was thinking when I woke up this morning, #2. The only thing that can help Trump at this point is to go for broke. It's what won the election in 2016.
