Tesla has picked Texas as the site for its largest auto assembly plant where it has vowed to employ at least 5,000 workers and will get more than $60million in tax breaks from Travis County and a local school district over the next decade.Work on the plant, which will be over 4 million square feet, is already underway, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said during the company's second-quarter earnings call on Wednesday evening.'It's going to be an ecological paradise ... open to the public,' he said about the new factory on a 2,100-acre (85-hectacre) site along the Colorado River, which is about 13 minutes from downtown Austin.

Transplants shouldn't be able to vote for four years. Liberals are going forth and multiplying to spread their illness.

And about 15 minutes up the street, Amazon started its 4.5M sq ft. building in Pflugerville.
This is what happens in a Conservative environment. And 10 minutes north of Amazon is the
Kalahari Resort. A thousand rooms, and largest indoor waterpark in the country.

Texas has been getting an awful lot of communists lately. Not sure this is such a hot idea. I was there just before the coronahoax and it was not as good as it once was.

Musk is an odd duck but he knows how to get things done. Just don't bring your California employees with you.

Be careful what you wish for Texas. They will come with baggage. Witness what has happened in Colorado.

America today is turning out to look a lot like "Atlas Shrugged" with Elon Musk playing the part of Hank Reardon. The cozy relationship between politicians and certain industry executives attempts to freeze out the "Producers" like Musk. His decision to leave Mexifornia is laudable.
Ignoring #11's inanity, Tesla will find a motivated and technically skilled workforce, who are up to the task.

If what poster#11 believes were true, how did NASA, in Houston, get a man to the moon and back? The thick heads in Texas are the liberal politicians in Austin.

Sorry, I don't trust this modern-day PT Barnum. There's just something missing in his life story. I know he has cashed in on a lot of gubmint subsidies over the years ,especially during the Obama reign. His SpaceX gig looks credible but his Tesla project seems to be quite busy staying one step ahead of the shoeshine.

Musk could leave out the ''ecological paradise'' BS and just build good cars! Beware Texas! Not all transplants will be positive additions to the state. I hope Musk is, but he seems the type to have his head turned.

H. Clinton and Schiff hold the 2020 liars award. It used to a fisherman's relm for those awards but Schiff and Clinton have really stepped up the competition. Schiff lied to get Trump impeached (which should be taken off the record because it was based on lies) and Clinton for lying about everything, time after time. Schiff and Clinton's lies have made Senator Reid envious. He lied about Romney's taxes on the Senate floor which turned out to be good for America.
