Romney Questions Trump getting “cozy”

Sen. Mitt Romney says he doesn’t know where the Republican Party is headed as the president cozies up to dictators, and character doesn’t seem to matter in leaders anymore. The Utah Republican also said during a Center for Strategic and International Studies webcast Tuesday that the U.S. response to COVID-19 has hurt its role as a world leader. “I have no idea what’s going to happen with my party. I represent a very small slice of my party. The party has taken a different course. My party was very strong anti-dictators, anti-authoritarian leaders, anti people like Kim Jong Un and Vladimir Putin,

Comments:

Of course, Bain never met dictatorship whose money couldn’t be laundered, including China.

Trying to improve our country's lot by diplomacy used to be lauded. Now it is called "cozying up" to dictators. Talking without giving away the farm is not a terrible thing. Handing over pallets of cash in the middle of the night to countries that want you dead is another matter.

I will take to my grave the disgusting fact that I cast a vote for both Romney and McCain, But, in fairness, the other option appeared to be quite bad so it was really a vote against Obama. America was not destined to win during the elections of 2008 and 2012. Note that Romney did do better than McCain, but that was after four years of Obama, and the enthusiasm for "hope and change" seemed to lose some steam. Mitt Romney is a very small person.

Mittens is still trying to get an invitation to speak at next month’s Democrat convention. What’s most objectionable about Romney’s attacks is that he repackages old Democrat lies about all Republicans as his own. If this bitter old RINO was so opposed to Trump, why didn’t he enter the 2019-20 primaries? Surely aware that he would have been soundly rejected by “his party”.

If you live in Utah you know what Mittins and the Utah media are up to. They are targeting the Mormon, pro-immigrant, globalist vote so as to cost Trump this state. Egg McMuffin, Evan McMullin, tried it too much on his own last time. This time more forces are being brought to bear. Utah is a 100% vote by mail state. Watch this state.

Remarkable how many of the RINOs have no understanding of President Trump's negotiating methods. It seems very obvious that he attempts to develop a good, speaking relationship with the individual leaders in order to try to influence their behavior, while letting the state department control the official relations, and keeping those relations based on behavior and performance. The RINOs have apparently forgotten the adage attributed to President Theodore Roosevelt, "Speak softly and carry a big stick."

Finally he admits the truth. He is nothing but one of the minority who would desperately love for the public to believe that they are the ones who are moving the narrative, not Trump. I find him trying to co-opt the subject of character to be epic irony as Pierre has no core values, no principles, blows with the wind. He is the last person in our party or the nation I would ever ask to discuss the subject of character. He is about as sleazy as one can get without being put into jail for it. How many more bankruptcies of retail businesses are we going to see in the next several years, thanks to the dodgy and corrupt 'business' practices he and his fellow hedge fund managers worked during his time as Bain CEO? As to voting for McCain, I voted for Sarah Palin, not McCain. I suspect that McCain's campaign managers knew that and hence the rotten treatment she got after the election. Thankfully Jay Leno put a stop to it when he shamed McCain into publicly stopping the vile treatment from his campaign Sarah suffered.

Well, he's right about one thing, Character doesn't seem to matter anymore! If he had good character, he wouldn't have run as a Republican when he's really a Democrat! He knew he couldn't win the seat in Utah as a Democrat, so he decided to fool the Voters into thinking he's Republican. I think his "Character" is in the dirt! I also think the Voters in Utah should recall him. We can't wait until he's up for re-election. He could do too much damage between now and then! Shame on him! Mr. Holier than Me! What gets me is how happy Mittens was to take Mr. Trump's endorsement (and probably big check) in 2012 and then turn on him in 2016 ... and then take his endorsement in 2018 ... and turn on him again. Somedays, I wish President Trump would talk about all those politicans (local and national) who made the pilgrimage to Trump Tower, looking for his endorsement or more likely, his check. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of never-Trumpers or Democrats in that group.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
