A transgender man is suing the University of Maryland Medical System in federal court, claiming his rights were violated when his gender-affirming surgery was canceled by one of the hospital system's subsidiaries. Jesse Hammons was scheduled to have a hysterectomy in January at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson. The procedure, routinely performed on cisgender women at the same hospital, was deemed medically necessary for Hammons, who had been diagnosed with gender dysphoria. However, about a week before the scheduled surgery date, the center canceled the procedure because it “conflicted with the hospital’s Catholic religious beliefs

Go to the middle east and see where Sodom and Gomorrah were. NOTHING grows or ever will grow there! They have discovered balls of sulphur so pure that it burns bright blue when lit with a match covering the area! Bible is very accurate!

The people who should be sued are the hacks that deemed this atrocity 'medically necessary.' I guess the important thing is some terrible lawyers are going to make money on this one way or another. What a plague many lawyers are.

So it was cancelled because a doctor (surgeon, there are empathy issues) realized that he could be sued for attempting to remove a uterus that wasn't there ???
Where did all the sane people go ???

Our "Supreme" Court just recently ruled that discrimination against these mentally ill transgender persons is unconstitutional. This ruling will be used to attack religion - especially Christianity. Because our rulers have decreed that mental illness is now a protected right these poor, tortured people will be able to vent their frustration and envy on normal citizens and the law will back them up. Just another sign on the times.

Because of "the hospital’s Catholic religious beliefs,” according to the lawsuit. I smell fake news. Suspect its because there is no medical reason to remove so insurance wasn't going to pay.

A “transgender man” is a woman. A woman who believes she is really a man. This woman wanted her female organs removed.

This “man”is actually a woman. I’m sure she can find a hospital that will perform the surgery. It doesn’t have to be at a Catholic hospital.

Poor guy! Now he can get knocked up after drinking all night in some cisgender bar. Maybe he better keep taking The Pill. Sodom and Gomorrah would probably turn away in shame.

The terms were confusing to me in the beginning. Transgender man is a woman. Transgender woman is a man.
If that is its photo, she was one strange-looking mutt….

So does this mean if you don't like your legs, you can sue and force a doctor to remove them? And is this deemed a 'medically necessary' procedure because you don't like having legs?

What surgeon in their right mind would open up a patient simply for the heck of it? That is basically what the mentally ill man wants. This opens up such a Pandora's Box of problems for surgeons. I would think that this borders on medical malpractice as well.
As to S&G, I believe they found the area by the Dead Sea where those five cities of the plain were located if the recent documentary on Amazon streaming is to be believed. The sulfur balls I saw in the documentary seemed to melt like molten lava when heated up. They also might have found the pillar of salt that is said to be Lot's wife as well.

The article is written with a strong pro-gender-freak bias, because it repeatedly portrays this as a struggle to obtain this --- entity's --- right to nondiscriminatory medical care. Actually, there is both Constitutional and contract law involved.
The Constitutional issue is the "free exercise" clause which says religious people cannot be forced to go against the moral laws of their Faith. That's right there in the First Amendment: it's a "first right."
The contract issue, is that they put this in the contract when they changed the "ownership" of the hospital, that the new owners and their physicians and medical staff would still abide by the the Ethical and Religious Directives of the Catholic Church, which --- on the grounds of realism and right doctrine --- state that sexually mutilating surgery (or any other mutilating surgery) is not morally lawful unless it is, for instance, removing a diseased organ.
A diseased uterus could be removed. Unfortunately, this --- "entity" --- is diseased in the head.
I hope the courts remember that religious free exercise and contract law trump the enactment of mental delusion.
