Air conditioning units that recirculate the same air in a room should be switched off or only used with open windows, experts have urged, amid mounting concern around the role of airborne transmission to spread Covid-19. Experts told the Telegraph that air conditioning units that only used recirculated air could exacerbate the spread of virus particles if someone was infected with Covid-19. Dr Shaun Fitzgerald, a fellow at the Royal Academy of Engineering, said there were two types of air conditioning units - ones that take air in from outside and expel it out again, or those that recirculate the same

I have a super duper brand new air conditioner and it runs 24x7 right now here in Minneapolis where it has been 90 degrees every day with like 100 percent humidity and no wind!!! Waiting to get my garage floor redone but the heat has pushed my date back because of the need for cooler temps for the materials the guy is using... Can't wait! Putting a screen door behind my garage door that I can pull down at night to keep out the state bird who likes to drink my blood!!!

If this applies to air conditioning it must also apply to your furnace. So when it’s three below next January throw open your windows or you’ll be circulating the flu. With any luck you’ll freeze to death but at least you won’t be a flu statistic.

#9 My place in Franklin county showed 99F yesterday and I am facing the Gulf. I have remote temp sensor in the attic - 123F. All that sounds comfortable compared to here in The Woodlands, Tx. I keep my ac about 82 to conserve. I am ready for Fall.

They're trying for maximized misery to drive us into a corner and blame Trump.
If Wolfe, my local lead progressive mosquito tries to force this on us, in the current heat and humidity, we'll be going after him.
(I count Liberals as blood-suckers, too inept to be counted as anything but mosquitos - and like those bugs, potentially carry harmful side-effects such as diseases, with them)

Outside, temps in 90s with matching humidity.
I think I’ll try their suggestion and then sit back and watch the MOLD grow. I’ll die of mold but at least I’ll be saved from Bat Soup Flu.

The experts never provide any evidence for their conclusions. In Texas, our governor keeps saying we are having spikes, but never provides anything but testing data, no real data. One suspects there isn't any real data.

Run the ac with windows open or turn it off? Typical leftist claptrap. What happens in warm climates (think 3rd world countries) during heatwaves without ac? Deaths - lots of them. This every year at this time of year the media try to tug our heartstrings with woeful stories of people living on the sub-continent who die in record numbers due to the heat/global warming (never mentioning the obvious lack of ac). I recommend that all leftists and their puppets in America turn off their ac. When you die as a result from the heat, covid gets another death statistic, and the left is another step closer to stripping our rights from our Constitution. However if enough of the woke left succumb perhaps we will stand a chance at saving our Constitutional Republic.

#27 has a good point. We put a whole house filtration unit and UV lights in our AC system this spring to combat allergies. Recirculates air, kills mold, bacteria and viruses and filters out particles.

#7, your state bird is a democrat? It figures...
On another WHO matter, have you people seen the lawyer tv ads against Roundup as a cause of non-hodgkins lymphoma? Roundup is a weed killer, using heavily in Iowa and other corn states.
A federal judge allowed the testimony of WHO, which declared Roundup to cause non hodgkins lymphoma. Our CDC said no it doesn't.
The judge went with the WHO.
If Roundup really did cause the disease, Iowa would have wall to wall patients. So would lawn service employees.

Socialism- spreading misery equally - well, except fo the elite ruling class..
Leadership- when Nancy forgoes hair care and Botox I might believe her.
When Nance flies commercial economy- I might believe her.
When Nancy has turned off her air conditioner in the DC offices for an entire week.. I might believe her.
When Nancy has to use same health care as the rest of America- I might believe her.
When Nancy let’s go of all her armed personnel protective services, I might believe her.
When Nancy takes down the gates and walls surrounding her property, I might believe her.
But she won’t... I don’t... and the WHO and and Democrat Elite who suggests turning AC off in summer can go pound sand..

But wait! Won't all those Wuhan Cooties just come in from outdoors where everyone knows that they are just lurking to GET YOU?!!
Run and hide, put your head in the sand, THAT will protect you from the Wuhan Cooties floating in the air.......or maybe a mask, yeah, that's it a MASK, made of any piece of random cloth to keep out the virus.
Never mind that the virus is more than 1000 time smaller the diameter of a human hair. Will a hair go through the holes in a piece of random cloth? Yeah, easily. But something 1,000 times smaller will be stopped by that cloth, protecting you from the Wuhan flu, we have it on good authority from top government scientists.
And Dr. Fauci's Wizard Snake Oil Super Scientific Elixir is a guaranteed protection, just pour a little onto any random piece of cloth mask, and you will be magically protected.

Suddenly we are suppose to believe CV19 is now airborne as well as droplet borne.
I don't believe them. This is more scare tactics. What's being perpetrated against the general public is a crime. The scientific community has turned into a joke. Its more motivated by money and politics instead of science.

If you have read this pdf https://covidinfos.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/MasksDon-twork-4.pdf showing documentation of Masks being like trying to strain out sand with a filter for screening out golf balls you will find scientific studies showing that a 1 to 2 micron diameter virus particle will even pass thru an N95 mask that can only remove particles larger than 5 microns. It seems that A/C filters on airplanes take larger liquid particles with virus and atomize (Hepa) them into smaller particles capable of going thru all masks. Your home or store recirculating A/C can have the same effect if and infected person is present.

Yeah, because death by heat stroke is so much more pleasant than dying from a virus with a 99.9% survival rate.
Lie-beral idiocy at it's "finest"!!!

I have been saying the reason it spreads thru nursing homes is because most of them only have one or two air handlers. Probably the same for old buildings in NY that share heat sources. Somebody has the virus and coughs near the intake, I think it spreads thru the vents.
Not only hot but humid here.

It has a 6 inch thick heppa and then electronic zappers along with UV Lights to zap little viruses! It shall remain on at all times! There...I'm golden...no go hump someone else leg you little loser!
