OBERLIN — Twenty-three faith leaders from a range of traditions — Baptist, Quaker, Catholic, Presbyterian, Unitarian and more — are calling for the censure of President Donald Trump.(Snip)Oberlin ministers issued a statement Friday, saying “these acts of self-glorification on the part of our nation’s leader must be condemned as blasphemous and unconstitutional.”(Snip)The Oberlin ministers, who represent mostly Christian congregations, are calling on Ohio Sens. Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman as well as Rep. Jim Jordan to begin formal censure proceedings. Censure is a formal reprimand from the House of Representatives, the Senate or both for presidential conduct that does not befit the Oval Office.

First of all... our wonderful press secretary was clear as crystal... no tear gas was used (regardless of what any of them in media and liberal religious are saying). Several times in a press conference last week, she declared that truth. Secondly, none of these people have this in "context". The night before... Atheistic anarchists attempted to burn that church building to the ground and several around the President has said that they were attempting to get to the White House (that is the bunker discussion, folks). It was not peaceful the night before, it was an attempt of overthrow! The next afternoon, President Trump gave a stern speech in the Rose Garden, amidst projectile explosions from the "protests" still surrounding the White House. It was that speech were he demanded the end of the rioting and looting and if necessary, he will call out the military. It was in that mind, the street was "cleared" so the President could walk over there to have that symbolic photo-op. Remember now, just a couple of weeks ago, he was basically forced to issue a decree that "churches" were essential because socialist gov't have their "proverbial" foot on the neck of Christians. He knows our religious freedoms are at stake and so... he posed in a partially burned out church building (across from his house) and held up a Bible - not for his own vainglory - but a visible expression to rioters, progressives, antifa and socialist - you will not take away our religious freedom, you will burn down our churches, you will not suppress our country - we believe in God and will stand for constitutional religious freedoms. It really bothers me that so many, including Christians, don't see what is happening to our country... it's really sad!

Fear not Ohioans, based upon the supposed "Californication" of Red states you don't have to claim these "religious leaders" as your own. Obviously, they are all California transplants who brought with them the evils of Progressivism. These cannot really be Red staters, because we all know any Lefty in the Midwest must be a foreigner from a Blue state. They just don't grow naturally in "fly-over" country. Now is the time to deport them back to the coasts. Quickly, before any more pure Ohioans are infected!

Most of these 'faith leaders' will be censured on the day they meet their Maker. There's a reason these congregations are dwindling, and it not because their flocks are uncomfortable with their righteousness. It's more like, "more of the same" marching in step with Antifa, BLM and other communist agitators. They are hypocrites in fine feathers and slimy souls.

And it's not blasphemous for these "Christian" churches to link arms with the Unitarians - who do not even believe in the Triune God? How appropriate for this to come out this weekend as the Christian churches celebrate Trinity Sunday tomorrow! Furthermore, there are a lot of "United Church of Christ" congregations represented there. I went to a wedding at a local UCC church. The hymns were changed to deny the masculine references for God - Father, Son, etc. Plus the priestitute was a lesbian having a relationship with the lesbian music director. Their relationship foundered and the church closed.

Trump's symbolic act was not religious but a covert signal to powerful members of the Freemasons in this country and around the world. This country's ideological cradle was the St. John's Lodge that included almost all the Founders as members. One of the original names of the Freemasons was the Knights of St. John who Biblical importance as the prophet of Christ's coming is celebrated by Mason's even today on June 24th. The Freemasons stood for the principles of the Enlightenment and natural law that based individual human rights on a direct relationship with the Creator that transcends the laws of kings or popes.
Trump is not a Mason but he is a student of the history of our Founders and understood the power of his call to action to the many Masons that occupy positions of power and trust around the world and can stand up to the latest assault on our rights from anarchists and totalitarian despots.

The leftist and liberal Democrats were claiming that President Trump stood on the sidewalk in front of the church that suffered fire damage without “permission” but a large sign behind Trump in front of the church said that everyone was “welcome” to come to the church!
You can always tell when Trump is over the target when the Democrat’s heads blow off!

Clergy leftist leanings are the main reason many people stopped going to church. After seeing our pay checks reduced by more than third after taxes to support programs and policies for those whose whole life seems based on take ,take, take. The one thing we don't want to do is to go to church and be accused of not giving enough to these same people. Meanwhile, the same clergy are giving sermons spouting the same leftist dogma that we hear from the MSM.

Americans at long last are starting to recognize the long-standing attempts by the Left to remove Trump.
From impeachment to Ukraine to Russiagate to Kavanaugh, with complicity of the Democrat media, this has been non-stop. Trump is a remarkable individual that can take this abuse and return it in presidential kind.
So now we have these latest clowns and their parroting squawks ... tomorrow someone else will take up the Democrat line. The Dems are so hate filled that they cannot appreciate that they have crossed the line into sedition .... and soon Nadler will seek to restart the impeachment circus. Americans will payback the Democrats soon ...

But even of he did, you do NOT know what was in his heart and mind. And the park police only started disbursing the crowd AFTER they started throwing things. These lies and attacks are getting WAY out of hand!!
And the article by George Will made me explode!! He implied Trump wanted something to happen like what happened to Mr. Floyd!!! I am beyond livid. I am going to pop a blood vessel if this stuff doesn't start getting pushed back!!!!

#9, you should send your comment to this clerical cabal. They ought to be ministering to the Oberlin Admin about their bearing fals witness, lying, harming a man (i'm not sure he is alive; he had cancer).
So, we know what Scripture tells us about telling lies. If they weren't sure about what happened, they certainly had an obligation to find out what happened. Clearly they stuff their minds with msm information, much of which is bogus. We saw this with POTUS's statement Friday morning when talking about George Floyd. msm outlets did not carry the entire Rose Garden.
Some thuggies attempted to burn down this historic church. And we know most of these thuggies have NO regard for religious faith. THen the idea that the President of the United States was somehow not allowed to be on the grounds? ludicrous! stupid!
The collection of vain and prideful, arrogant, duplicitous, unfaithful, hypocrites. They ought to work hard to get the Giant Redwood log out of their eyes before judging so unjustly.
Lastly, they ought to ask President Trump for forgiveness and make as public a statement as this one that they were wrong.

So let me get this straight. The desecration of a church by anarchist arsonists not worthy of condemnation from these religious hypocrites, but President Trump is for standing in front of the remains of this church with a bible. Having been raised a Catholic, and attending parochial school, I have reach the conclusion that I don't need middle men (organized church) to pray to God the Father.

Considering Floyd the pornstar was also on fentanyl and methamphetamine these ministers should be on on the side of normal people. This will be the most elaborate pornstar funeral ever. Probably dirty cop killed him out of envy.

"Religious leaders" should be in quotation marks, as the identification is an oxymoron. Their religion is a sham. Their faith is empty. They are true know-nothings, knowing neither themselves nor the sham g** they pretend to worship. To worship means to give worth, to value, to express admiration, and so on. They don't worship the One True God. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is not known to them.
Their "churches" are gradually ceasing to attract folk to come. They are doing this censure farrago for the sake of publicity.
They have nothing to offer. They are utterly bereft of saying anything meaningful about the human condition. We are sinners in need of redemption. The only path forward is Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Holy Son of God. These leaders do not acknowledge Him, so their vain chatter is just that. They have as much to offer as the 300 slain by Elijah. They cannot bring down fire from Heaven.
They have as much to offer as the priests of Baal put to death by Josiah.
They will end up like the priests in 70 AD. Burning in the lake of fire.
And they want US to drink their Kool-Aid.
They are as useful as a bucket of warm ****. (Albin Barkley)
For them to accuse Trump of blasphemy is preposterous. To a person the whole vicious collective is composed of blasphemers, who do not fear the wrath to come. Too bad for them. When the day of Judgment comes they will learn the truth, and there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. But it will be too late. An eternity of separation from the God they do not know awaits them. But they cannot be told. They have ears but cannot hear, eyes but they cannot see. That is Jesus described them when He was here, and that is how He describes them now.

The accusation by clergy that President Trump’s walk to St. John’s Episcopal Church was for self-glorification and, therefore, “must be condemned as blasphemous and unconstitutional” is absurd and outrageous slander. There is no way for these mortal men and women “of the cloth” to know what is in President Trump’s heart or mind, and it would serve them well to remember the teachings of Scripture which include, “...Judge not...Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?...” (Matthew 7:1-5) as applied to their church acceptance of murder (abortion/infanticide) and homosexuality.
