Governor Whitmer extends Michigan's stay-home order to June 12

Governor Gretchen Whitmer has signed another Executive Order extending Michigan’s stay-home order until June 12. “While the data shows that we are making progress, we are not out of the woods yet. If we’re going to lower the chance of a second wave and continue to protect our neighbors and loved ones from the spread of this virus, we must continue to do our part by staying safer at home,” said Governor Whitmer. “If we open too soon, thousands more could die and our hospitals will get overwhelmed.”

Comments:

This has nothing to do with “data” or “science.” It’s about raw lust for power and directly harming those who have opposed her. She will make you submit. I’ve never seen such evil on the part of any American government body in my lifetime.

This from her summer home. She told everyone else not to go to their summer homes, as she was headed to hers. Rules are for the thee and not for me.

She is enjoying every second of her fascist dictatorship, and doesn't want it to end a second before it has to!!!!! I love how they are so concerned that "thousands more could die and our hospitals will get overwhelmed" -- with "could" being the key word. But, hey, any excuse to keep the ignorant peasants under her thumb for a few more weeks at least!!!

Governor Whitmer needs to be placed in a secure facility where she can be isolated from all people and any activities like exercise, outside activity, or even communication. Put a lock on the door to make sure she stays safe, and leave her there until all diseases have cures. It's for her own safety and the safety of everyone around her. Freedom is so unsafe! It's not for her.

OMG, what the hell. I posted this quote from Edmund Burke on another thread, "The greater the power the more dangerous the abuse". Michigan it is time to rebell. Recall this jerk. Can you imagine if dems get control of congress and the WH? Dear Lord we will lose everything. Pay attention America. It is time to tell her to stick it. I'd get as many people as I could and dare you to try and dispurse the crowd or arrest you. They have tasted total power and like the taste of blood to a vampire, they like it. They will suck us dry.

The northern half of the Michigan 'mitten' and the entire upper peninsula have about 30 deaths in total. That's a huge geographic area shut down for no reason. Maybe they should break away and become their own state.

When it’s refused she will blame PRESIDENT Trump It’s all being done to ruin Trump and the sad part is she is using the beautiful state of Michigan to do this. Guess Michiganders have a choice. Go along with the plan. Or stand up to her. I hope you decide soon. I really want to spend some summer time on the UP.

Stay-home orders that extend too long could cause the U.S. “irreparable damage,” Dr. Anthony Fauci warned Friday. Strict crackdowns on large gatherings and other orders, such as for home quarantines, were needed when the coronavirus first hit the nation, but those rules can now begin to be lifted in many parts of the country, Fauci said during an interview on CNBC. “I don’t want people to think that any of us feel that staying locked down for a prolonged period of time is the way to go,” the member of the White House coronavirus task force said.

"New York followed the president's agencies' guidance," Cuomo said Saturday at his press conference. ".... What New York did was follow what the Republican Administration said to do. That's not my attempt to politicize it. It's my attempt to depoliticize it. So don't criticize the state for following the president's policy."
