‘CBS Evening News’ Knocked
Off Air by Technical Issue

Original Article

“The CBS Evening News With Norah O’Donnell” did not air in East Coast time zones on Tuesday because of a technical glitch in the Washington, D.C. bureau where the newscast originates. (Snip) The blackout came on the same night that “Evening News” was promoting O’Donnell’s sit-down interview with Facebook chief Mark Zuckerberg. CBS News directed East Coast viewers to a replay of “Evening News” on CBSN, which is a free ad-supported streaming service.

Comments:

As informational, Paula Reid and Weijia Jiang, notorious for their disrespect for President Trump, are White House Correspondents for CBS News.

You don't suppose the show's content suddenly included something favorable about Trump? Or maybe somebody mentioned Susan Rice's declassified email that implicated Obama / Coney targeting of Flynn? Either way, somebody at CBS would have had to pull the plug too fast to hide, hence the customary "technical difficulties" cover.

The headline from a PJ Media article dated April 4, 2019: “Norah O'Donnell and Her 'Giant Ego' Are Gunning for Jeff Glor's Anchor Desk” ~~~ That old adage of “what goes around comes around” may have been a reality check of sorts for making clear how people can be “knocked off the air” either by technical issues or someone’s personal ambitions.

State Rep. Joe Miller, D-Amherst, joined House Democrats to release their proposal for holding a safe and accessible presidential election in November amid the worst global pandemic in more than a century. Highlights of the plan include mailing a ballot with prepaid return postage to every voter, extending the ballot postmark date to Election Day, enhancing safety for in-person voting and expanding voter registration, according to a news release. “If there is one important lesson to learn from this global pandemic, it’s that we need to modernize our electoral system,” Miller said. “As we learned by the elections in the Ohio primary,

EXCLUSIVE: Thirty-seven Planned Parenthood affiliates applied for and received a total of $80 million in loans from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), Fox News' "Tucker Carlson Tonight" has learned--and now the federal government wants the money back, saying the affiliates should have known they weren't eligible for the coronavirus stimulus payouts. The Small Business Association (SBA) is reaching out to each involved Planned Parenthood affiliate explaining that affiliates of larger organizations with more than 500 employees aren't eligible for PPP distributions, Fox News is told. The Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PFFA) alone has had more than 600 employees.

Michael Flynn's attorney Sidney Powell on Tuesday filed an emergency writ of mandamus to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals seeking the immediate removal of Judge Emmet Sullivan from the case--and saying that under appellate precedent set by the "Fokker Services" case, Sullivan or his replacement must dismiss the prosecution, as the Justice Department has requested.(Snip)Powell also demanded the appellate court vacate Sullivan's order appointing an "amicus curiae," or "friend of the court," to argue in favor of preserving Flynn's guilty plea on one count of making false statements to the FBI during an unusual January 24, 2017 White House interview.

It’s not rocket science to say the beginning of Trump hatred came from the Clinton campaign. He was once feted in New York, even by liberals. How did it change from high regard to hated? One thing is clear, dislike was instant once Trump entered the race as a Republican, increased as he ran, and took a quantum leap forward when he won the election. To this day the hatred has grown on a level hardly thought possible. (Snip)It’s beyond over the top, it’s beyond unsetting, but there it is for all to see.

Perhaps the most troubling-- and dangerous--aspect of the current political conversation is the unwillingness of virtually every elected official and every media pundit to confront what “Obamagate” is obviously about, which is treason. Specifically, treason committed by the Obama White House in attempting to block and then overthrow the Trump presidency. Obamagate is about the failed attempt by President Obama and his appointees to use government intelligence agencies to spy on the Trump campaign and White House, to concoct a phony accusation of collusion with Russia against the president and then to obstruct his administration and overthrow him.

Donald Trump demanded Sunday morning that former President Barack Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden face jail time for involvement in the Michael Flynn case. 'It was the greatest political crime in the history of our country,' Trump said of his predecessor and Biden, the presumed Democratic nominee. 'If I were a Democrat instead of a Republican, I think everybody would have been in jail a long time ago, and I'm talking with 50 year sentences,' the president continued in an interview with Fox Business' Maria Bartiromo that aired Sunday.

When House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced the $3 trillion coronavirus spending bill she and her allies had written--a bill passed by House Democrats Friday night with only a single Republican vote in support--my first reaction was that it would be dead on arrival in the Senate and that the move made no sense.(Snip)Pelosi is a survivor. She is tough. She is hardworking, and she has been through a lot of campaigns--and seen and executed a lot of maneuvers. Therefore, you must assume there is a sound strategic reason for Pelosi to bring forward a bill that is this radical, expensive, and controversial.

The opening credits of the Perry Mason television drama featured a statue of justice as a blindfolded woman raising aloft a pair of scales. This common visual metaphor captures the two critical dimensions of justice: balancing the punishment with the crime, and the equality of all under the law. Four years ago the Obama administration and rogue partisans in the FBI and DOJ abused their powers in order to keep Donald Trump from being elected, and then to hamstring and sabotage his administration.(Snip)But if the verification of these crimes is not followed by indictments and the malefactors put on trial, our political system will be seriously damaged

"This will be one of the first opportunities for Dr. Fauci to tell the American people the unvarnished truth without the president lurking over his shoulder,” Sen. Charles Schumer said Monday. So the New York Democrat had high expectations for Fauci’s testimony to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions on Tuesday. “If some areas--cities states or what have you--jump over those barriers, checkpoints and prematurely open up without having the capability of being able to respond effectively and efficiently,” Fauci testified. “My concern is that we will start to see little spikes that might turn into outbreaks.” But the news wasn’t all bad.

According to the data, the Navajo Nation has 2,304 cases of COVID-19 per 100,000 people. In comparison, New York has a rate of 1,806 per 100,000. New Jersey follows at 1,668 cases per 100,000. Much of the Navajo Nation lacks water and electrical utilities. At a time when disinfecting and hyper sanitation is critical to fight the virus, many homes don’t even have the basic infrastructure of running water.

They've been through riots, protests, and natural disasters—but America's colleges have never seen anything like the financial meltdown the coronavirus is about to bring to their campuses. The rising wave of health fears, added costs, and vanishing tuition payments could crush small colleges, many of which were already hanging by a financial thread. Those that can weather the crisis—including big-name universities with billions in their bank accounts—in turn stand to gain big from the fallout. The emptying out of schools and the mass transition to distance learning has already been "the largest all-sector hit that we've ever seen," Jim Hundrieser, a vice president with the National Association

In national polling, former vice president Joe Biden is the clear 2020 front-runner. He's up nearly 5 points in the RealClearPolitics polling average; he's up in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida and Arizona. That's because Biden campaigned as the anti-Bernie Sanders: a "return to normalcy" candidate rather than a transformational one. His entire pitch relied on his high name recognition, the general perception of his likability and his unthreatening demeanor. The coronavirus pandemic merely underscored this pitch. Biden hasn't waned in the national polling since the pandemic -- his lead has been utterly consistent. That's true even though Biden has been relegated to his basement, gaffing through completely anodyne statements about COVID-19,
