At 87, any infection is serious. Hopefully, the doctors can get it under control quickly.

Odd. Typically with a pancreatic cancer that was treated with surgery her gallbladder would have been removed as well. Not sure how she gets a gall stone.

Well #4, I think they just make stuff up for the gullible masses. Who are we to question?

i, too, wondered why her gall bladder is still inside her.
It may be possible that they took out her gall bladder, but there could have been a small gallstone remaining in the common duct. in the common duct.

I applaud my fellow LDotters for their kindness toward one who has wronged us all for decades. I'm afraid I can't muster that up. I normally forgive when the perpetrator no longer has the will or ability to do evil. That may be soon.

I don't wish her ill, and her daughter was a fantastic law professor for me even if I disagree - she made us think - which is what educators are for. Having said this, if demise is certain - and once again not wishing her ill - I can only hope that Donald Trump gets to nominate the successor. Rehnquist and Scalia absolutely adored her though - they would be worried sick if they were still here - so in some ways it's up to us to do that too, regardless of how we feel about her decisions. So a lot of conflict for me, a lot of hope, and as someone who is now older, a lot of comfort holding two diametrically opposite thoughts and feelings.

Hope she’s okay. Never wish ill upon anyone. One passing thought: nothing will get stay at home liberals out of their house faster than a nomination by Trump to fill Ginsburg’s seat.

I hope she is okay and can be kept comfortable. Anything to do with a gallstone is painful, crazy painful. I had one big bout of gallstones and if they had offered to knock me out with a frying pan, I would have happily acquiesced. I was thrilled when the doc said he would take my gallbladder out, the evil little thing!

The common bile duct is surrounded by the pancreas. Just saying.

Reply 1,
If you had the attitude of a typical liberal, and she were a Republican , you would wish her dead and in Hell

If she is in the hospital, and if she is on meds, (under the influence) how can she participate in the process?

My mama told me 'if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.' Since mother's day is coming up, I'll honor mom's memory by not saying anything at all.

Maybe I'm no longer a good Christian because I pray for a terrible suffering death for this evil woman. How many babies have been murdered thanks to her treachery? That's only a small part of what she has done to bring our country down.
I'm so done with being a goody two shoes toward the enemies of humanity in general and my country in particular.

Yes #23. I actually do feel kindness toward her and it surprises me too. She is old and has fought such serious illnesses yet stubbornly clings to life. As dear Justice Scalia liked her then there must be something worthy of praise in this tiny liberal woman.

Wait a minute. I thought hospitals were closed to everyone unless you had the virus. How did she get admitted? Just another exception for the elite????

I wish her well, in the hope that, on 21 January 2021, the day after President Trump's second inauguration, she will announce her retirement "to spend more time with her children".

She needs to be investigated by medical science. What other 87 year old has survived three different cancers (including two of the most deadly--lung and pancreatic), a fall in her 80s in which she fractured three ribs, a second case of pancreatic cancer and now a serious infection?

Too many false positives of late. Wake me up when she reaches room temperature and Liberals start wailing that the president can't appoint her replacement until after the election.
