LOS ANGELES  -- A Los Angeles doctor said he is seeing significant success in prescribing the malaria drug hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc to treat patients with severe symptoms of COVID-19. Hydroxychloroquine has been touted as a possible treatment for COVID-19 by President Trump among others, but it remains controversial as some experts believe it is unproven and may not be effective. .

At least this article gets it right, in the first paragraph, and says it needs to be used in conjunction with zinc.

There is now a lot of evidence that hydroxychloroquine in combination with zinc works, for many people. These are not new, untried drugs. They have been used for many, many years, for various diseases, with no bad side effects. Bureaucrats, like Fauci, who are enjoying their brief fame, still want to put the drugs through the process, although abbreviated somewhat, that new, untried drugs must go through. Meanwhile, people get sick and die. Kind of like making Firemen have water tested for contamination before using it on a house fire! City water, that has been tested and treated! Meanwhile, the house burns down. These drugs that have been through the rigorous testing and been used for years, on many people of all ages and health conditions, should not now be held back by these high-level bureaucrats!

It used to be that the title of expert referred to people who made correct statements within their supposed area of "expertise". IMO if someone made consistent errors of judgement in expressing an opinion within that subject, they should no longer be allowed to call themselves an expert, nor should others in positions of authority be permitted to refer to them as experts.

This is a lie. There is no cure for COVID-19. The disease must continue until Orange Man is out. Impeach him now. He is utterly evil. He supports the use of hydroxychloroquine, which means that it is an evil drug. Remember: DJT is the enemy of the Deep State. And the Deep State is our salvation. It says so in the New York Times. And the ChiCom propagandists agree. DJT must go. First. Then we can worry about the virus. Get your priorities straight. Stop misleading us about people who have gotten well. No one should be allowed to recover until Clinton is President. *sarcasm off*

Realize that in a "Clinical Trial" they are talking about a group of equally sick patients where one half, chosen at random, gets the life saving medication, and the other half does not. This is letting chance play with peoples lives. With so much strong evidence that this drug therapy works to save lives, it is immoral to require clinical trials to be conducted and to attempt to restrict their use. Allowing people to die because you can't stand the thought of President Trump being right about this drug is the equivalent of "you have to break some eggs to make an omelette".

A few details are missing. What is his definition of "very sick"? (he is an urgent care doc, not running an intensive care unit) How many patients has he treated? What ages? What comorbid conditions? Depending on age etc, 80-98% of patients improve without therapy. How are his results any better? Half a dozen clinical trials are presently recruiting patients all over the world (go to Clinicaltrials.gov to see them). Soon we'll get real results. Until then, please quit salivating over this type of nonsense.

If hydroxychloriquine is widely used and death tolls drop below projections (which is already happening), that too will be called anecdotal. Certainly not up to the high standards of the learned "scientists" who used hard data and their superior knowledge, training, and analysis to give us the global warming hockey stick, the polls proving Hillary's 2016 landslide victory, and 2.2 million US Coronavirus fatalities.

Hydroxychloroquine is no longer within its patent window, so perhaps the reason that Fauci is not promoting it is because it will not produce a huge profit windfall for any BigPharma company. Fauci has a history of only promoting low-probability vaccines, drugs which (coincidentally?) would make a lot of money for Big Pharma. Do people think that "a Z-pak" has something to do with zinc? A Z-pak is a specified (IIRC 6 pills) set of azithromycin, take two the first day, then one a day until they are gone. I take vitamins, and believe they help me, but the original research in France was chloroquine and azithromycin. Nothing about zinc. I am still baffled on this "zinc" connection, which I think is hokum, but perhaps someone will eventually show that it is helpful. If I was sick, I'd want chloroquine and a Z-pak, hold the zinc.

It remains controversial as some experts believe it is unproven and may not be effective. And everyone of these experts is a freakin democrat who wants to bleed this epidemic and steal as much money as they can. Every doctor who has used this drug, both foreign and domestic, has seen nothing but positive signs more than 90% of the time. Communist democrats could care less about anybody either suffering from the virus or who is financially ruined. They're sick people. Get it yet..

For Charles Vavruska, it was nothing short of a miracle cure. Days after the 53-year-old City Council staffer arrived at New York Presbyterian-Queens hospital barely able to breathe and tested positive for COVID-19, doctors started him on the controversial drug cocktail of hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial, and azithromycin, an antibiotic. Although Vavruska said he felt almost immediately better, he wishes the urgent-care doctor he went to see in the early days of his flu-like symptoms in mid-March could have prescribed a similar treatment before he grew progressively worse and ended up in a hospital room, hooked up to an oxygen tank and fighting for his life.

There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred.
