Asian-Americans feel targeted with
'Chinese virus' label

Recent descriptions of the novel coronavirus have led to complaints of discrimination in the Twin Cities directed at the Asian-American community. The complaints of racial discrimination were influenced in part by President Donald Trump after he started referring to COVID-19 as the “Chinese virus,” according to Bo Thao-Urabe. (snip) ... (Keith Ellison) has received at least four complaints of discrimination, including a local Asian woman who said she received a threatening note.

It's a fact that the violence against Asians is coming from blacks. Maybe Ellison should look in the mirror, or at the Somalis.

Trump didn't call it the Chinese virus. That was the female reporter's term. He corrected her and said that he had called it the China virus because it originated in China. And China is a country not a race. I can think of at least a dozen other viruses named for their location of origin, including West Nile Virus and German measles. Are all of those racist too? Take your best shot lefties. Trump can handle it.

Note to the Asian-American community. Grow up. Are you an Asian or an American? Which one? If you are an American citizen, then you are an American. Since COVID-19 came from China, China corona virus is appropriate. Unless you prefer Wuhan corona virus. Either way, go talk to the Chinese government for letting the virus get loose and let us know what they say. Assuming you are allowed to leave them.

Asian-Americans did not 'feel' targeted until the CrapMedia planted the idea in the public discourse. Before the CV, Asians were busy working, going to school and raising their families. They're still doing that while that CrapMedia continues to use them for their own nefarious purposes.

Let's see.....Ellison received four or five complaints? Maybe they were friends of the writer. How does this number compare with the number of complaints Ellison's ex-gf filed about his abuse? Ellison ran for office on the principle of stopping Trump at every chance he can --- if he's faithful to his platform, then he must be trying to stop Trump's handling of this virus. Thanks, Keith. Voter fraud is too nominal to make a difference in any given election, goes one popular line of argument. Districts in these four states saw election outcomes overturned after absentee voter fraud came to light. Now, with millions of Americans homebound because of COVID-19, progressives are amping up their push for national mail-in voting as Michelle Obama throws her support behind related legislation purporting to be a response to the pandemic.

At a former open-pit copper mine filled with billions of gallons of toxic water, sirens and loud pops from propane cannons echo off the granite walls to scare away birds so they don't land. After several thousand migrating snow geese perished in the Berkeley Pit's acidic, metal-laden waters in 2016, its owners deployed a sophisticated arsenal to frighten away flocks, including lasers, drones, fireworks and remote-controlled boats. Montana Resources already had been hazing incoming birds with spotlights and rifle shots into the water — and a spokesman says those existing deterrents likely helped the company avoid a penalty or prosecution under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
