LAUSANNE, Switzerland — U.S. Women’s National Team and Seattle Reign FC star Megan Rapinoe responded Friday to the new guidelines from the International Olympic Committee on political protests at the 2020 Tokyo Games. “So much being done about the protests. Some people are just never happy, and nothing angers them more than anything inhibiting their ability to nag everyone about it. Hey Megan why not relax, cheer up a bit and enjoy playing soccer while you’re young. We can all read about your DWI arrest ten years from now, when you’re old and even more bitter at life than you already are.

Megan and her ilk want to use the stage created by the sports organization she plays for to be the amplifier for her Leftism. However, it's not HER stage. After the games, as a private citizen, she can go anywhere she wants to and say anything she wants to. The problem is, not many will bother to listen. So many women have worked so hard to promote their various sports. Now, what happened to the NFL, people tuning out because of the player's antics, can happen to women's sports as well. You won't change many minds Megan. You will just make people dislike you and tune you, and your sport, out. No one wants to or has to listen to you. I'm sure all the others in your sport are going to be really appreciative of you sabotaging their sport and careers.

They’ve been told not to talk to the media, keep their mourning as private as possible and even publicly praise the regime that mistakenly shot down their loved ones’ airliner. The families of the Iran plane crash victims — most of them Canadians or heading to Canada — are still in the depths of mourning for their relatives. But that hasn’t stopped Tehran from closely monitoring and harassing family living in the country, using release of the victims’ remains as leverage, various sources allege. A Democratic presidential campaign field that was once touted as the most diverse in history has been whittled down to six candidates on its debate stage, all of them white. For Oakland Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee, that’s a problem. Lee says the Democratic National Committee’s rules for determining who can participate in its presidential debates is “systematically discriminatory” against people of color. To qualify for Tuesday’s debate in Iowa, a candidate had to receive contributions from 225,000 donors nationally and receive at least 7% support in two polls from the early-voting states — Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina

You’ve probably never heard of the most economically transformative legislation of the Trump era. Granted, it has not yet passed and it might not pass. Still, California Senate Bill 50, winding its way through the state legislature again this month, could generate tens of thousands of new jobs and billions of dollars of new investment, reshaping the geography of the biggest state and solving a large chunk of the cost-of-living crisis

When the Democratic debate started Tuesday night, I was young, carefree, merry. Two hours later, when it ended, I was praying to the Almighty for a swift end to my suffering. I felt like I was 103 years old — or even older, like one of the early patriarchs in the Bible. All the life had been sucked out of my body. This, the seventh debate in seven months, was the dullest major political event in years. And there is no excuse for that, since there were only six candidates on stage and, therefore, a real possibility that the Democrats could explore their differences with one another and draw sharp divisions.
