A Florida man, found eaten by an alligator this summer, died from a meth overdose before his body was ripped apart by the reptile, according to a medical examiner's findings. Michael Ford, 45, was found face down in a canal in Fort Meade on June 27 and Polk County Sheriff's investigators theorized he might have drowned before an alligator began eating the man's remains, NBC News reported. A hand and a foot belonging to Ford was found in the beast's stomach.

Comments:

It didn't hurt a bit. No panic. Just like Luke Fuchs in Used Cars, without doing a thing at all he went unhesitatingly to his end.

I'm not sure why this croc death is getting so much attention, but it is. Probably not the first time a drunk, high or impaired person was taken down by those reptiles.

Calling the fattest category of people 'morbidly' obese is offensive, woke researchers said today. And they urged doctors and scientists to stop referring to unsuccessful attempts to lose weight as 'failures'. Terms used moving forward should include 'ineffective' or 'insufficient' weight loss, or even 'secondary weight regain'. No specific suggestions were given to replace the phrase 'morbid', however severe is often used instead. Critics today slammed the recommendation, published in a leading obesity journal, saying it was 'odd' given morbid obesity is a clinical term. It is no surprise that Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) dislikes President Donald Trump. After all, no man has done more to denigrate the Iraq/Afghan War strategy that her father crusaded for than Trump. He not only opposed Cheney’s approach to war, but he also mocked it mercilessly. As the former Vice President’s oldest daughter, with her own dose of less charm and less savvy, Liz Cheney has now entered on her own crusade. She stands athwart the House floor denouncing Trump, all his pomps, and all his evil works. Instead of Holy Water, she will sprinkle the tears of fellow Republican failure Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) on the TV cameras.

Of all the crazy policies we see implemented around us, from decriminalizing theft to teaching children to change their “gender,” perhaps the craziest is government’s determination to force us to drive electric vehicles. EVs like the Tesla are perfectly fine cars, or would be if they weren’t subsidized or mandated. But they are terrible for the environment, and the conditions under which their materials are mined raise serious ethical questions. Ronald Stein makes excellent points in his column titled “Is it ethical to purchase a lithium battery powered EV?” "The lower image is just one lithium supply mine where entire mountains are

I’ve been promising to collect our own lexicon of the real meaning of key leftist terms—an undated version of Ambrose Bierce’s Devil’s Dictionary, for a while now. So here goes. Readers are encouraged to propose additional definitions and terms in the comment thread, and we’ll update this lexicon from time to time. Populism: When the wrong person or cause wins a free election, like Brexit, Trump, or a Soros DA recall. Racism: Any opposition to the agenda of the left. Democracy: Any institutional design or voting system that enables the left to get what it wants. Threat to democracy: When Republicans win an election. Equality: Outmoded idea from the Declaration of Independence.

In April, a black nationalist terrorist named Frank James opened fire on the downtown N subway train in Manhattan. While the racist gunman had a large stockpile of weapons, he happened to use a Glock pistol that he had bought over ten years ago. Now Glock is being sued. James bought the gun in Columbus, Ohio in 2011. So he quite clearly didn’t purchase it, intending to shoot up a New York City subway train. Nevertheless the lawsuit blames the gunmaker for having "contributed to creating and maintaining a public nuisance in the State of New York" even though the gun wasn't even sold in New York.

Of all the shortages that I have reported in recently, a possible coffee bean shortage must be ranked among the most dire. It turns out coffee bean reserves have plunged to their lowest since the 2000s. …Stockpiles of high-end Arabica beans, a favourite of artisan coffee shops and chains such as Starbucks, totalled 1.078 million bags, or about 143 million pounds, according to data released Monday by the ICE Futures US exchange.” Brazil is the world’s top coffee producer. By the 1820’s it was already producing thirty percent of the world’s coffee. Today, it produces a third of the world’s coffee with 40 to 60 million bags annually.

The radical left has been falsely accusing Trump of inciting the Capitol riot for over a year now, and their upcoming televised hearings later this week prove that their main objective is to keep the riot in people’s minds even though Americans have long since moved on. But the Democrats and RINOs on the committee are still hoping they can exploit the riot and get people to blame Trump and the Republicans. In the year the committee has been active, they’ve failed to produce any evidence of Trump’s culpability in the riot, but that’s not stopping them from claiming otherwise. It wasn’t that long ago when the left’s narrative on ‘gay rights’ was simple, straightforward, and easy to support: Let’s all be tolerant of one another, live and let live, and don’t discriminate. Tolerance is, after all, one of the fundamental tenets of the philosophy which drove America’s founding. But as the saying goes, “give someone an inch and they’ll take a mile,” which is the situation in which we find ourselves today. The message of ‘tolerance’ eventually morphed into ‘acceptance.’ At some point late in the Obama Administration, our culture decided that it was inadequate to merely tolerate the shenanigans of the LGBTQ community, we needed to welcome them.
